  1. If it's happened to me, then it can happen to anyone. That's how programming works. My client is no different than yours. Also, it happens every time you are killed with a stun or something, and it's extremely common. This is a bug that should have been fixed in the first month. Nothing is worse than doing 10 minutes of a WZ and getting kicked out with no reward over a bug.
  2. Look Bioware, we've all been extremely patient and have put up with all of the bugs since the release of the game. We understand it's a big game. But how in hell is this bug not fixed yet? This is absolutely unacceptable and the entire community should be outraged about it. One out of every 3 to 4 games I am forced out by your genius AFK kicker. It's been what... 7 months now? Fix the damn bug. You should have an entire team dedicated to fixing it because this is ridiculous that I have to waste my time in 3/4 of a warzone to get kicked out with absolutely no rewards. This has happened numerous times during rated WZ as well, and it's clearly a game breaker. This thread needs to stay on the front page. Bioware has to know that we're not happy about this, and we're not okay with waiting any longer.
  3. So I finally had a day off and decided to spend the day leveling my rerolled character to 50. I played for about 8 hours straight, without restarting the client at all. I started to notice things getting choppy, and my windows 7 decided to automatically degrade the video settings to keep up with all of the memory being used. I check my task manager, and SWTOR is at a whopping 1.8 GB of memory! Next thing I know, all of my dialogs are skipping the voiceovers, and I'm suffering from bad game performance. I finally restart the client, check the task manager, and notice that SWTOR actually runs just under 1GB. Now my question is, has anyone else experienced something similar after playing for several hours straight? If so, it would appear there are some memory leaks in the game which is a symptom of bad programming.
  4. You clearly don't understand. You're missing so many key abilities and talents that level 30+ all have. This is a massive disadvantage and I call BS on you out dpsing people consistantly as a level 10.
  5. Level 1-9 pays for their sub, why can't they play in my wz? Because they'd be useless. The point I'm trying to make is that having a team composed of a majority 10-20 players is basically game over before it even starts. Considering there doesn't seem to be any matchmaking it's just a queue, you can end up playing all 30+ players. This is a massive oversight IMO. All BW has to do is add another noobie bracket, or disallow them to queue, and everyone wins. That, or they can actually implement some sort of matchmaking scheme that attempts to pick players of the same level or close for each team.
  6. Yeah, you're COMPLETELY right. I lost one warzone and came here. Not that I've played basically hundreds of pre 50 warzones and experienced this. Just the one. Nice constructive post there bro
  7. Can someone explain what is going through your head when you choose to pvp when you're level 10, with literally 3 abilities that you spam over and over? You're just hurting your team and no one wants you there. People getting facerolled is not fun or amusing. Either change the minimum pvp level to 20 or give 10-20 their own noobie bracket. Discuss
  8. As an indie game programmer I'm actually insulted at what you think is involved in adding features to a game. No feature in any game in history has ever been accomplished in 2 lines of code. Do you even know what code looks like? You couldn't do a damn thing in two lines. All of these features are simple when you use them, but the programming behind it is not simple. This is where people fail to realize that they can't just crank out content at superhuman speed because its just not realistic unless you have a team of 1000 people working on seperate things, which is never the case
  9. I know they mentioned somewhere that there would be a different, less ridiculous way of obtaining augmented gear. Does anyone happen to know which crew skill will gain the ability to add augments? Is it just going to be armormech and synth again? Or is there some other method. I'm asking because I recently rerolled (on Fatman lolol), and I'm trying to figure out what skills to pick up. Thanks

    Fix Mercenaries

Everyone here saying that I'm whining, or L2P, take a look at http://www.swtor.com/community/showthread.php?t=450479 I had absolutely nothing to do with that discussion, and take a look at the general unbiased consensus. Tell me that things are alright with Mercs. Go ahead.

    Fix Mercenaries

I gave a plethora of reasons in the OP. Also, I do just fine in Warzones, and no one particular thing did not cause this post. I thought about it, and I genuinely feel bioware should be fixing this class.

    Fix Mercenaries

I am completely sick of being the other team's pincushion every match. First of all, in any situation where I'm on flat ground, and any melee class wants to kill me, it's over. Sometimes when I have my cooldowns up I'm able to best some horribad FOTM marauder, but for the most part, it's game over if they want me bad enough. I have one snare that can be used basically once per battle, maybe twice if it lasts long enough. I've noticed that about 25% of the time for God knows what reason, Jet boost straight up doesn't work. No it's not resolve, I check that every time before I use CC. On flat ground, this is good for 1 unload and possible 1 TM, after that I'm just standing in one place as some marauder runs in circles around me taking my health way faster than I could ever hope to take it from him. If I end up in a fight against a sorcerer or sniper, it's also most likely lights out. Why? Because light/medium armor has ABSOLUTELY NO IMPACT on how fast you die. I'm usually at 70-75% health by the time I break through one static barrier. At that point its just a lost cause. Couple that with the fact that I have absolutely no interupt abilities, barring one stun that takes time to travel, on a 1 minute 30 second cooldown. Alternatively I could just run right up to them and rocket punch or jet boost, but this is not usually even possible, and the time spent running at them is time that I'm getting pummeled by lightning. So what classes does that leave me able to kill? Ones that arent paying attention? Yeah.. that's why I rolled a merc, so I could kill people who have no idea what's attacking them. The only map where I have a remote chance to succeed is... get ready for it... Hutball. Yeah, I have no ball utility, but at least if 3 marauders force leap up to me, I can jet boost them off the cat walk and make a clean get away. I never stand on the flat ground in the middle, and I usually end up at top damage, which is how it should be for a class with absolutely no utility. To top it all off, you nerfed the living hell out of DFA, the one fun / damaging ability we had. Not only did you sharply reduce the damage, but you basically halved the radius, making it impossible to hit more than 2 targets at the same time, unless they're REALLY dumb. Our hallmark is supposed to be ranged AOE, and you basically stole that away from us. So Bioware... Myself and the rest of the upset Mercenaries are asking you very nicely, please address some of these points in this post. Either buff our damage, or give us a proper interupt, or make more maps with platforms that we can shoot from. Because right now, not having any of those 3 is leaving us as the pillow fighters of SWTOR.
  14. The objective is extremely BORING. It's so repetitive. Why can't we have our SWTOR version of Alterac Valley? They was by far the best BG in WoW, and I would have happily accepted an AV clone in this game. Even a CTF gametype would have been better than this turd. Anyone else agree?
