  1. well its a lot to take in, there are a lot of skills you have to look out for and you have another mechanic which is fury you have to woch out for aswel.. its quite a lot, wouldn't recommend it, but hey i guess keep going with the class and u never know ull probably understand the mechanics There are a lot of people on the forums saying the class is under powered.. its not at all If your low level, spec into Anni and when you reach 40 then you can try the other 2 trees, until then Anni will outperform the others.. Mara's get better as the level increases - 30 + is when they start really getting the damage bonus - at that level in pvp you can wipe the floor with any class without a problem (again if you know how to play the class) Squishy wel not if you use ur cd's well and as an Anni you will not have that much of a downtime - I am Biotech aswel meaning i have the reusable medpacks, so I never have downtime So Id say stick with it see if it suits your style but remember the mara is a late bloomer so do not presume how the class performs from early levels

  3. hes not the only one, there are a lot of people who feel marauders are fine - they just dont come on the forums - instead they playing the game - you can include me in that list of people who can play this class fine But one thing I can say is if we had a bit more control with our targets that would be great - as other classes do have more control - but doesnt mean we are broken or need a buff - you can stil take any class quite easily if played well - in pve havnt had any problems
  4. damage and defense is fine - we jus need a bit more control with targets - if we had that we would be perfect
  5. well that it is actuli somewhat wrong, I agree a 50 with expertise gear will always outshine anyone without it, but does not mean its impossible you should know that if your level 20 and have gear that is up to date and face let's say a level 40 with level 30 - 35 gear , your damage will be higher that is how the bolstering system works.. but like i said if OP does indeed have full expertise gear then ofc he is going to have the significant advantage But i think the point of this video is to show that a mara carnage does not lack damage - which he has proven , people keep repeating that we lack CC's and control and stuff - wel yea I do agree it would be nice if we had a bit more control but stil I think again the class seems to be fine - not perfect - but fine and can perform very well if played properly
  6. but one thing I deffo agree with you is, Anni and Rage have very simple rotations compared to Carnage - it requires a totally different approach and is probably harder to master
  7. nope , i only play solo when i pvp, and oh no the healing from Anni is far from "miniscule", its quite a lot - wel significant enuff to be half health and som1 being full and then u can take them down and still be in half health (have managed this a number of times) - so no I disagree completly - Anni is excellent pvp if your running around solo as its hard to die as an Anni - but the disadvantage of course is Burst - we have none Your right about that the damage shown doesn't realli mean anything, but as far as experiencing all three tree Anni (during levelling that is) was the best spec to play with in pvp due to its high survivability and huge damage compared to the other trees 40 + things change of course, and seeing what others have said, rage really picks up and surpasses Anni in terms of damage and burst output by far, but stil they both have their own advantages and disadvantages Carnage is probably a solid spec at 40 + or 50 but until then Anni surpasses all of them, IMO of course

  10. well from that list you have given , you can see for yourself we do give more group utilities than a jugg and have the better defensive cooldowns, you say cloak of pain makes up for the medium armor.. Well I am not sure if i am right herem but armor does not mean anything for force attacks or bleeds or anything similar.. so having high armor value only helps for melee and range attacks.. but cloak of pain reduces damage by 20 % So we are more durable then juggs with cd's, and dont forget undying rage , where we become unkillable for 5 secs which can be crucial in certain situations I mean from your list, anyone can see the marauder has more utilty than a jugg (decrease healing done and so on) However I have to agree on one thing which is the jugg does get the bonus damage on the smash - which kinda is the main focus point of rage, but mara's have other skills to make up for that , so IMO mara stil comes out on top purely on just how much more we can bring to groups in pvp matches - and that 30 % + dmg for smash does not mean a jugg is going to top the damage meters
  11. yup as an Anni you can reach 200+ k damage quite easily, without trying that much.. but it does not have the burst the other 2 contain, but it deffo does huge amount of damage when all the bleeds are up

  13. well they dont get cloak of pain and mara has more group utility then a jugg in terms of pvp with predetation for example - and with berserk if your using rage tree you should get free VS - there are also other reasons why mara is slightly better Again armor only means something for certain specs, for example a Anni specced mara will take down a jugg no problem as bleeds ignore armor.. now daz an example and there are more, so higher armor does not mean more survivability - its the player skill and cd's used.. and imo we have the better defensive cd's compared to juggs if they are dps specced of course (not immortal)
  14. hmm weird, if your not using any bleeds, then carnage should perform better.. but no juyo only increases damage not defense.. so not sure why your experiencing that.. wel Carnage does pick up at endgame there are a few people who perform well with it, but not sure why Anni "seems" better without using the bleeds for you
  15. when I meant 1 on 1 , i dont mean a duel - I mean if theres is someone that targets u and u target that same person(others could be fighting around u but that's the point)- its complicated but there are lots of 1 on 1 situations in wz - esp in alderan - but the point is Anni does better in fights where your targeted , whereas rage is a quick run in take target down as quick as possible and get out If your getting smashed by 3 different people then your approaching it wrong thers always a someone that is free casting by himself, that is the target you wana go after and that is when a 1 on 1 usually occurs (for a short period of time before someone else comes and help or another opponent help the target)
  16. nope its well known that internal damage ignores armor but not resistance well you can kill quicker but cant last longer than an Anni in a fight - so if your initial burst is mitigated then you have to wait, whereas with Anni self heals + the constant damage usually takes the target down without having to worry about your own health (esp with berserk up where each tick is a crit + the self heal = target is pretty much dead in seconds) Now I am not saying Anni is better than Rage - its not, but rage isnt better than Anni too - it's all playstyle and what you prefer
  17. not sure how u would, bu in pvp you dont want to wait indefinatly for the full damage to tick.. you want to dish out all the damage up front in the beginning and and if you activate deadly saber early enuff it should come of gcd before you even know it (i usually activate it straight after force leap/battering assault) Not a good idea in pvp Don't think its a good idea in pve also as the damage stacks, so not stacking it straight away because of the cd doesnt seem to make sense to me - with rupture i can understand bu hmm i duno

Rage ain't better than Anni - Anni is godly in 1 on 1 situations and very good for them solo kills required - they also cant be killed if they run with a healer and all our damage ignores armor completly (bleeds that is) - and we self heal - if specced right then cloak of annihaltion will be up almost at all times There are so many plus points in Anni - i play as 1 and I always do well in warzones and almost never loose 1 on 1's (except if it's a well geared 50) Rage is excellent for mobility and burst Anni is excellent for them solo stuff and has high survivability compared 2 the other two and does huge damage but again its not burst but is built over time (plus self-heals) Carn just lacks in a lot of areas and needs some work
  19. hard to say without testing it properly, and as it is a percentage it will be even harder to test properly by any player
  20. disagree, in pvp situations for example where aoe is occuring the damage will be compltly ignored meaning you will not come out of stealth before the timer runs out - This could decide if your opponent sees you or turns and runs away -> as a result you can surprise attack The talent is very useful in a lot of situations so I'd take it rather then the speed buff from Ferocity or Close Quarters
  21. i disagree if your read the second post on this thread you'll what I mean , "cloak of carnage" and defensive forms are more worth it - defensive forms is a no brainer - and getting extra rage from using Cloak of Pain , which is a must skill that should be used constantly I think yes that's more important. This combined with Cloak of Annihaltion makes sure that CLoak of Pain should be up most of the time and makes sure we are not rage starved Another reason is The damage the off hand does yes is great, but is white damage in the end of the day, and most of our damage comes from bleed effects and vicious slash that can be spammed (as it only costs 2 rage technically)

You should look around the threads you should see some real good advice on how to spec and what to do.. ultimatly it depends on ur playstyle carnage - probz the weakest tree of ours - needs some work - has some nice burst but stil weak compared to the other 2 annihilation - a god in 1 v 1 situations with the self heals and bleed damage that ignore armor completely, high survivability (with a healer practically unkillable) Rage - crazy burst and very good mobility - this is the spec that flashes damage on the chart pulling 350 k + dmg in warzones if you play it well So there you go just depends on ur playstyle, I prefer Anni but that's up 2 u The class is fine if you need advice look out for some of the other threads
  23. all specs are weak at low levels, and are not much different from each other.. I levelled as Anni with no problems jus stick to that, even though till 20 Rage looks a bit more bursty but thats up 2 u... like i said Anni is fine and spec as you want, as I levelled as Anni from the beginning
  24. http://www.torhead.com/skill-calc#100MIbRrR0fGzZRG.1 - spec that I am currently following (hvnt hit 50 yet) - its mainly aimed at pvp but works well so far in pve aswel I'm going for subjugation for the less cd time (on the interrupt esp), instead of close quarters as you can always strafe back if target is running away and force leap back onto them I left the other 2 points out again is choice I would either put it in Enraged charge - for more rage , or stagger if for longer immobilize - bit this is preference really Also I am not capping Dual wield mastery, as most of our damage comes from our Bleed effects , so no point wasting points there, instead cloak of pain generating more rage is better to keep ourselves from rage starvation. Last point i wana make is the tier 1 talents where a lot of people prefer taking quick recovery rather than cloak of annihaltion - IMO is a waste caus our aoe sucks and gettin a lower cd on our best defensive cd by using a skill that is off gcd (can never miss or be parried) and always pops cause people are constantly hitting u is the wiser choice. - Again my opinion Rotations - start off either running towards them battering assault/force leap - deadly saber - crippling slash - rupture - then if retaliation is up that or any other skill that is required for the situation - if your on top of the target I'd say spam vicious slash as it costs 2 rage only 4 us (Havn't hit 40+ , so Annihilate is not included in this) - do this until you have Crippling slash has run out or Deadly saber and Rupture are back up again Always activate cloak of pain of course and with this spec cloak of pain should be up almost at all times if you keep using retaliation Btw all this is aimed at pvp, in pve ignore crippling slash - but the rotation will be similar
  25. well the thing is we have self heals. .. and rupture + deadly saber does some prety insane dmg and that's not including berserk if we have that up aswel the target will be dead pretty much in seconds.. We are the best spec to go into 1 on 1 situations and come out on top with ease.. So having rupture stack would mean our self heals have to be nerfed, or completly removed to compensate for that , imagine having ruputure stack and then activating berserk.... do i need to say more? No we would be way to OP, esp at lvl 50 where Anni fury builds up very quickly.. So na I don't think it should stack.. This spec is fine as it is, probably the strongest spec out of the three currently in certain situations so Anni is fine as it is
