I ran around with vette till level 38, but that because i reached 10,000 affection with her, now i switched over to quinn - i have to say he does cause u to have lower downtime , but vette was just better in killing things faster.. both have their ups but i have to agree that quinn does make things easier, but it doesnt mean dps comp is not viable - it totally is
  2. annihilation shines and outshines the other two trees at 20 till 40 (at this point all trees are viable), stil stick to it from the start, and yes healer comp does make it easier but if ur Anni you dont need a healer comp - your quite sqiushy yes for now but as an Anni you get your self heals that will help you out in later levels
  3. i can only answer 2 and 4 - 2 yes only physical 4 - well rupture is useful in any spec as the damage from it is over time and is quite high with a short cd - so using it will be beneficial esp if the target gets slightly away from u - its not a must but using it will deffo help, but if your carnage - I'd say only rupture after you have done your main rotation

  5. rupture slow is reali not worth it - it only last while rupture is up and its ver y short, crippling S on the hand is 15 seconds or 12 dont remember and more worth as it doesnt have a cd aswel
  6. powertech are quite OP - but mercenary please no , i Take down mercenaries for fun, they are quite easy to take down as most of their attacks are casted = disruption and bleeds + berserk = dead mercenery But powertech is OP currently and is quite well known that they are - nothing to do with a mara - they will be nerfed
  7. nah bleeds do huge damage , they just dont produce huge crit values like rage does, but an Anni jus cannot die in warzones, quite difficult to take us down IMO rage is only viable after obtaining force crush until then Anni just outperforms Rage - and he is in nar shadda so he's around 25ish so he should switch to Anni - the other two trees are viable after 40+ (in terms of performing as well as Anni) - and as an Anni i have only used Vette never anyone else and I am stil using her - just keep her geared and u wont have a problem - little to no downtime too
  8. lol right we bring nothing... the only class to have healing debuff in pvp as well as the fury buffs which are useful both in pvp and pve - we are the best support class in pvp and pve - we can also take out any class in a 1 on 1 situation - except 4 maybe a powertech bu they are OP currently
  9. it does work - it has worked for me a couple of times in huttball when I had a healer healing me long enuff to actuli realise it works lol -- it also works if your against 2 sorcerers and they chain cc you and then try another CC and nothing happens - but yes if three people are on u - ur dead before the resolve meter fills up Resolve meter has been improved from beta but still kind of lacking

  11. yup true, we do have little to no cc at all - except for the droid sleep one which can be useful but stil in pvp we are fine, not perfect but fine pve flashpoints of course you always want chars with CC even in wow, but operations a mara has its benefits due to the fury mechanic buffs
  12. k post that damage output then - becaus i have never seen any other class on my server pull those numbers - i've only seen level 50 mara's pulling that off and i guess they were rage aswel and if you do pull it off, then I will agree with you fully and never doubt what you say , until then you are jus misinforming everyone
  13. that is really impressive - hmm might giv rage a shot when i reach 50 - i tried at 30's and cant play it as effectivly as Anni quite yet, but probz better at 40 + after force crush
  14. ... not true - lol funny how you spread misinfo on every thread I take on lvl 50 sorcers as a level 38 mara - its actuli quite easy as diruption = win + positional play + clever use of cds But BH are much harder to take down - not mercenary they are a walk in the park - but powertech - so yes i Do agree with the OP powertech is a bit difficult to take down , but not impossible

  16. victory rush only activates when you defeated an opponent right - wel kinda useless in pvp except when you kill a target also it used to heal and charge - well if you want second charge go rage and if you want to heal you can always stick to Anni with shorter cd on force leap ..
  17. marauders can take a sniper on easily - as long as crippling slash and all the cds are up - if your surprise attack them they are done in couple of seconds , if not it kinda favours the sniper , but hey its a sniper right , your meant to surprise attack them -- also a sniper will be dead in seconds if more than 1 person is on him, marauders not at all- we can take at most 2 on at once

If it's huttball number one rule as a mara is, avoid force leaping first - if you did infact force leap then you HAVE to position urself properly (this is on a ramp) - position yourself parallel to the ramp so that if they do a knock back , you don't get hit off the platform - this takes a while to get the hang of but once you do your good to go. - this solves your first problem if your being knocked off platforms Next alwys have Crippling slash on the target - ALWAYS - so if they do knock you back and your slowed they cant reali move away - (if you jus ran towards the target before - your force leap is free use it now - after this they cant knock you back again) - Again Crippling Slash them and they cant move away quick enuff - (I've never died against any range due to this move , if you have this up its easy to beat any class) Force choke is not a good skill to be used at those situations - (only use it to kill on fire in huttball or to buy you time and rage if your 1 on 1 - unless you rage specced then ignore what i said) You should use force scream and deadly throw wheneva you can if they are quite a far off and you can't get to them yet but if you have crippling slash on them it shouldn't be a problem IF your level 25, spec to Anni - your survivability will be huge compared 2 the other 2 specs until you hit 40 - as an Anni put up the dots which will do huge dmg and keep crippling up - and you should never loose to anyone - (well i haven't in any 1 on 1 situation) Also don't worry about the "we can't" get away bit you get force camouflage at 30, which will help you out in lots of situations - I've done couple of warzones with 0 deaths due to it That's all the advice I can give with that scenario
  19. ok the guides i looked at are all over the place some even from other games like rift and wow - but as the mechanics are similar they were easily translated here - (i Am Anni btw) - well first guide I looked at is - http://taugrim.com/ - he has great advice on how to keybind and has many commentary videos on swtor pvp - He mainly plays a BH - but he does give you advice on how to effectively play in each battleground - (lyk how not to die by choosing to do the wrong thing and lil tips that go a long way) If you look back at some of his earlier vids there shuld be a video for sentinels Second place I went to is http://sithwarrior.com/forums/Forum-Sith-Warrior-and-Jedi-Knight - its a reali good page for theorycrafting - got all my spec advice from there esp the Anni thread. So yes there you go And third, I just kinda worked and tested and practised with the class and got the hang of it - its not hard at all but if you do need guides I'd suggest going to those places If your still struggling after going to those places + the guides on this forum - then I'm sorry the class maybe not for you, whereas I'm enjoying it to the fullest But the point is resources are out there, trust me there were out there even before the game was to be released.. You jus had to spend 5 mins to look for them - so instead of QQing, if you giv us a scenario or something you struggle with then we would gladly help you - because writing a full guide takes a lot of time which not everyone has including me
  20. 1) Yes they ignore armour completely, only resistance reduces the damage on bleeds - and rupture is also internal damage 2) Strength i believe does increase the bleed damage, but no not lightsaber damage that only increases the direct attacks 3) Yes Also you want to look out for surge (Surge is better than crit) - because when ur higher level ur fury will build up quite fast = berserk can be activated at a shorter time interval and quicker. Surge increases the crit damage so the higer the crit damage = pew pew and more self heals so stack surge rather than crit but do not forget about crit tho
