  1. I agree with 2 things, 1) healing needed some adjustments and 2) people do die very quickly now in 1.2. I can remember my first WZ (which happened to be the new map) after 1.2 went live. I got in and ran up to 3 enemy who were beating on a teammate, they killed him before I arrived then jumped on me. Seriously, no joke I was dead within 2 seconds (and I play a tankassin), I was like ***?? So after several days of WZ, I can say I have adapted to the speed now. I have greatly adapted my playstyle too. Pre 1.2 I would run into groups debuff, cc etc , I would also generally pick a healer and guard them most of the game. After 1.2, I try to avoid running into the middle of large groups (only if needed while I go) and I constantly switch guard. I basically guard anyone that is near me being focused, and throw in the taunts as well in an attempt to keep as many alive long enough to get heals and essentially try to slow the crazy burst as much as possible. It definately helps guarding more then the healer. Before 1.2 you keep the healer alive, he/she would keep the team alive, now after 1.2 it is more like use everything possible to keep the focus target up heals/taunts/guard/cc. I have actually found being way more defensive post 1.2 = greater success.
  2. I play a few classes, have a 47 sniper and I do enjoy it, but it's a bit tedious. I felt god mode on it until about lvl 40 to 41 and then started to see other classes just tear me to pieces (well played Mara or sin for example). I still do fine on the class but made adjustments to build to overcome the cover issue and heavy armor as much as possible. I imagine this all will only get worse once I enter the 50 bracket. All in all the snipe is fun and a welcome change from playing melee. I can't comment on jugg but have a sentinel and would say that is the most fun / challenging / fluid class I have played.
  3. At will for a given fight yes, running from one fight immediately to another after already using cloaking screen no. But then if you choose to enter a difficult fight with no cloaking screen up, that is your mistake not the rest of the community. And for your info I have tried the class before I "spouted my mouth". Maybe you should learn to choose ur engagements better before spouting yours? I will however agree with the one point made, huttball is a pain to all who do not have speed or leap.
  4. OK exaggerate much?? If you are hitting a target (even 3 ppl hitting the same target) 60 - 70 times in 5 seconds or less, then you are the class that needs the nerf. Give me a break. How is this any different then the Sorc KB with 5 sec root attached to it ? for melee that KB and root is a 100% reduction in damage all the while the sorc continues to do full damage. Stop crying over nothing. You all dont even know what you are talking about. Its 5 seconds, lol you see it go up and guess what, root and move away. Not hard to deal with.
  5. I have an assassin, a sniper, and a sentinel. I have tried all the classes to a point but these 3 are the ones I have spent the time to level because i found them the most fun. My sniper and assassin are level 50, my sentinel is only level 24 atm (currently leveling). I really enjoy the playstyle of all 3 of these classes and find them very fun to play. You already have a GS so you know what that is like so I guess i would suggest the assassin/shadow, even try it tank spec as it still does pretty decent dmg.
  6. LOL tor anroc. I remember those days. You could be 15 m from edge of cliff and still get punted into the lava with a KB because they were literally missile launches instead of KBs. But then again, at one point you could also be a witch elf and break stealth on your target and kill them from full health in under 2 seconds lol. The WE crew must have designed the sorc/sage in this game.
  7. Translation: I have no clue what I am talking about, so I make up stuff as needed to try and support my ultimate goal of not getting my op face roll class/build nerfed. Please bioware don't nerf my class, I really enjoy the false belief that I have skill with this character.
  8. Translation: BW, WTH?? I rolled the FOTM class expecting to faceroll every AC in the game with absolutely minimum effort. I expect to stand in one place and melt everyones face with the spam of 1 ability over and over. Why is this not the case BW? Are you actually saying I may have to use 12% skill to overcome a few random classes with this OP FOTM toon I have? This is completely unfair and needs addressing ASAP.
  9. I agree this will be awesome, but then my question is how do they give the set bonuses if ppl are ripping out the mods? The mods would have to carry the info for the set bonus, and such that you could not use multiple mods from the same piece of gear to achieve the bonus.
  10. OMG..... Are you the one person that wanted horse racing in age of Conan ?
  11. Hover mouse over your damage at the end of the Wz. Gives you a dps value and ur highest hit. Other then that it's guessing.
  12. The many posts above me, make no sense to me. You are all asking for some sort of gap closer, but then at the same time asking for an ability (such as a KB many have raised) which will create a gap between you and your target? So what is it, you want a gap closer or a gap creator? Because one directly contradicts the other. My opinion on this is the following: Gap closer: not needed you have stealth and can choose your target at your own will. you can choose when you wish to enter combat and when you wish not to enter combat. For those that say stealth is not a gap closer let me point this out. You are in stealth approaching a ranged class, they dont see you coming and you essentially walk right up beside them before engaging in combat on YOUR terms to start. At this point you have a ridiculous KD and lots of burst, as well as a stun. Gap closed and target effectively acquired and highly killable in this situation if you chose the right target to initiate combat. Now in the same scenerio another melee class starts to approach the same ranged target without stealth. The ranged target sees the melee coming and can start to prepare for the battle, essentially even start dpsing the target before it gets on him. If the melee uses force leap, the range target can be expecting (should be) it and have a KB/stun primed to counter. This is why people say stealth is a gap closer, because it allows the stealth class to close a huge range undetected and attack their chosen target, catching them offguard and giving them the upperhand. If things go to crap in your attempt, vanish, rinse and repeat when safe or on a better selected target. If you have trouble locking down your target or killing them once you break stealth, then that is an entirely different problem of your own manifestiation, since you already have been given the tools to close any gap of your choosing, fight any target of your choosing, at any time of your choosing and have the upperhand in doing so. The op/scound is not meant to go 52 and 1 in WZ's, it is meant to be a single target (med/light armor) annihilator in the right situation. I see this all the time, an op/scound runs into a group of enemy and tries to down a single target while getting beat on by 3 other targets. Guess what, that is the wrong approach to this class. FYI
  13. The problem here is that you obviously came from WoW. Wow has been out for like 10 years or something (cant remember the exact time) and obviously has well established and in depth "end-game" content, owing to the amount of time it has been around. Any new MMO (take any new one over the last 5 years) will never have as much end game content as WoW upon release, because well, they have been developing the game from the ground up. Wow has a long established ground to which they only add end game content. No MMO has had mind blowing amounts of end game content at release time (even WoW did not have much on release). It is something that gets built after launch for the most part. So as someone else already stated above, if you are not happy with the end game state right now, go back to your WoW and play all you want. Come back here in a few months and see if it has improved to your liking.
  14. See they are a hard class to play, you need to use 2 abilities!!!! ........ sometimes!
  15. wow that is some top notch math there. It must be true.......
  16. Please dont group all ranged classes in with Sorcs/Sages
  17. A well played Mara is at no disadvantage. Its the only class I see repeatedly tear down any other class in a 1V1 situation including ranged. It is way OP in the right hands and does stupid amounts of dmg. They do not need a force push or pull as they already have leap. If any mara jumps into a group of 5 enemy then complains that their class is gimp because they died quickly has no idea how to play a marauder.
  18. I am not dissagreeing with much of swtor being a wow clone, but the funny thing is.... most of the QQing and complaining on forums is by people requesting it to be more like WoW. They want arenas like wow, they want WZ like WoW, they want class roles like WoW, they want epic end game encounters (PVE) like WoW, they want crafting like WoW etc etc etc. These are all complaints listed regularily on forums here. So it goes back to the statement where people say they want to see change and innovation, but then go on to complain about how it is different from what they are used too so it essentially "sucks". Problem is the communtiy is so messed up as a whole that it does not actually know what it wants. Its a no win situation. You can have complete innovation in a game and it will attract those that truely want it, but will generate QQ from the community that sits and compares it to what they are used too. Then you can make a game that is similar to another which will generate QQ from the people that actually want innovation and something new and refreshing. I am beginning to think games should just abolish forums from now on until the current MMO communtiy "grows up" and starts to think a bit more solidly in terms of what they "actually" want from a game. Not what they "think" they may enjoy and then change their mind once they see it because they never thought it through.
  19. ya and well there at it, they should make it so that if you are subscribed to SWTOR for 2 months you get automatically adjusted in level to 50.......... /end sarcasm
  20. Or....... the alternative is that the current MMO generation only cares about instant gratification. Meaning, you enter WZ you die a couple of times your team goes down slightly and you say, this team sucks I am out of here. then you que hop until you find a team that is stacked with high levels and proceed to steamroll the other side. So in essence, you choose to find a stacked team to steamroll the other side and have them gift you a win then actually put in the effort to come out on top of a close game, or even for that matter come from behind to win. For the most part when people say they want a team to have fun/play properly they are refering to a team in which they know they will be guaranteed a win. Otherwise most dont even want to bother with an effort if they feel its not a guaranteed win. Hence the que hopping. Just another side to the story, which I personally think is the more "realistic" explanation. Since its always easier to blame your team, then to blame yourself for bad decisions.
  21. wow, I have a tankassin and a sniper. I have to say there is ease at obtaining medals with both classes, they are just different medals. On my sniper, I consistently get 6 - 8 medals a game, win or lose. I have reached 9 medals several times as well. A horrible game on my sniper yields me 5 medals. So i really dont see what all the QQ is about. As a pure dps class you have much easier access to the 2.5k dmg, 5K dmg, solo kill, 75K dmg done Etc, etc medals then the healers and tanks. Also, in all WZ there is medals for defending objectives (including hutball) which are easily accessible to dps classes if they actually contribute to the objectives of the match instead of blindly chase kills like a headless chicken. I think the real problem here, if people want to obssess on the distribution of medals, is the fact that most dps players in warzones dont contribute to the actual warzone and are out for straight up epeen stroking which is why threads such as this get generated. Blah Blah so and so class got more medals then me..... that is not right..... i spent the whole match on my own dpsing ppl down 1v1 and only got 3 or 4 medals? blah blah. I hear so many complaints about snipers but honestly i am topping or coming second on medals in every WZ match I have entered on my sniper (10-49 bracket). So there is absolutely no issue with dps getting medals in this bracket. People just need to L2P and contribute to the actual objective of the WZ.
  22. i like the concept, i just find the implementation not really well done. First off cover is broken - i.e. only really works against other snipers/gunslingers in terms of reducing dmg incoming or against white attacks (which are hardly used). So I would like to see cover actually apply to all attacks such that there is actually some benefit gained from staying crouched in one spot (besides being able to use certain abilities). Plus cover is buggy, sometimes works othertimes not, sometimes works but cover bar does not come out, sometimes cover bar is out when your not in cover. lol it needs to be fixed. Other then those two points that i would like to see fixed/addressed, I like the class and the mechanic of cover. Edit: plus i really really hate that if you are rooted you cannot crouch. so dumb since crouch/cover is essentially a self inflicted root. Not being able to get into crouch prevents us the opportunity to mitigate dmg or try to use a knockback for escape. It would be nice to have some sort of escape mechanism other then death/respawn
  23. I am not saying that I am taking any side here in this discussion, or in this comment i.e. scoundrel/op vs Jugg/guard nerf, but based on what you just said above I would like to know the difference between an op/scound opening from stealth on someone and catching them off guard or a jugg/guard leaping at you from halfway across the map (or from on a different vertical level) and catching you off guard? To me they are pretty much the same in terms of trying to PREDICT when your going to get opened on. More then half the time you never see the jugg/guard because they are on a completely different level or are coming from behind you. Unless its a 1v1 situation on a flat terrain and the Jugg/guard is in your sights, you honestly cant predict that your going to get leap smacked.
  24. Everyone needs to chill a bit here. I mean BW did not come right out and say "we are nerfing the crap outta BM gear" what they said was they will look into making a change to the variance offset of a new 50 and a 50 in full BM. This could be as simple (and in my opinion, the right choice) as adding back into the game level 50 blue gear that can be bought with regular WZ tokens and has a bit of expertise on it. This would mean BM gear is not touched or nerfed, but that new 50s can do a bit of PVP to get some blue gear that would help them compete a little better then now. Obviously BM gear would still be better.
  25. This happens to me daily, where i dont get credit for wins. However the last 4 or 5 days I have had 100% luck with hitthing the reset button on the quest. Just hit reset and the next win will register (well it has always done so with me since I discovered it).
