  1. I'm going to get the obligatory "Heal 2 Full" out of the way early.
  2. You may remember smash spec being much complained about. It got nerfed for pvp so really juggernauts and marauders only have 1 dmg spec for that, vengeance and carnage really.Though annihilation for marauders is getting some changes next patch that should be interesting. I personally like to hit up Makeb (you get stupid levels of xp for the storyline missions in addition to the absolute glut of dailies) or do pvp and bank comms via the pvp weapon loophole.

  5. I wouldn't say entirely useless, some of the shells look nice, but the mods in it are garbage the moment you step into a bolstered environment.
  6. Playing the same thing that launched a few years ago is boring. I personally like how the meta can change from tweak to tweak, even if it's not always for the better it's still something new. New ways to beat certain classes that were once at the top of the pile and former underdogs that come back with a vengeance.
  7. C'mon man, 4 of the 8 classes use lightsabers and it's a star wars game. It is and always will be the Age of the Lightsaber. Anyways, Juggs are definitely better than they were but they're hardly utterly an assured win, I just meant I can't remember the last time before 2.7 when I saw people that thought juggernauts were the best at anything besides tanking.
  8. I've played a jugg since I started in this game more than a year and a half ago, it still feels odd seeing people complain about juggerauts on the pvp forum.
  9. Congratulations, you've just described terrible carnage marauders. With all the slows and roots we have kiting a good one is next to impossible.

  11. Sure people can beat snipers at equal gear, they aren't the immortal god modes people seem to think they are anymore than marauders are. You're thinking of vengeance juggernauts for the second point. Marauders have nothing that should prevent you from flinging them all over the place. One of the downsides of the class really.
  12. No class or spec in this game is what I would term as hard to play. Maybe if you're blind and unable to pay attention to what procs you have up you might find carnage difficult. Smash may have been nerfed but its one target hitting power sure hasn't either. I'd also argue that marauders defensive cooldowns are just as good as the juggernauts what with the sheer number they get. Add to that how each spec gets a slow along with carnage getting 2 roots, increased team utility, 100% armor pen, burst damage a vengeance jugg could only dream about, and an increase in range of obfuscate I'd say carnage is just as good as vengeance.
  13. Be sure to bring Jaesa with you when you meet him. I found the extra dialogue quite amusing.
  14. This is more or less accurate. If you end up in the middle of the melee as carnage you will most likely end up dead, or at least have a higher chance of it happening when compared to other classes like PTs or Juggs etc.
  15. Personally I don't see the point in parses for warzones and arenas since the ideal situation of sitting there and beating on someone isn't usually the case. Then again I prefer melee classes not ranged. Buy the warzone one and wear your pvp gear. If I remember correctly the dummy acts like a fully pvp geared player with full expertise.
  16. Mhm. Suuure. I'd still put my money on a competent carnage marauder over a operative of the same caliber. That said, if you pop out of stealth and pull off the operative "Crits'O'Doom" rotation I'd likely lose my money hand over fist. I can only say from my experiences that an operative isn't anything to to fear more or less than the majority of other classes, especially when I play my carnage marauder.

  18. It hardly seems "fair" that vigilance gets beaten senseless with the nerf bat because its the more effective of the guardian DPS trees. I mean hell, we only have 2 options and if you don't want to play smash you have 1 choice.
  19. If we are I haven't noticed. Maybe rage isn't what it used to be and anni is, uh, well, mostly useless as always, but carnage is still going as strong as ever.
  20. Both of my warriors are male, simply because I preferred the male voice to the female one. Either gender could fit the story really.
  21. I have little trouble with either my marauder or sentinel. Granted I play carnage not smash, but I have noticed a lot of bad marauders running around lately.
  22. My carnage marauder does fine against snipers, especially since a lot seem to like to pillar/wall hump its simple to position yourself so cover pulse won't get you away from them. That and the root break on Force Camo makes it easy to keep after them. Whenever I play smash mara, which was rare even in the ye olde days of Doom Smash, it never really felt like a great spec to use against snipers anyways.
  23. Do what feign said, drop a chilling scream. A slow on an operative or scoundrel won't let them get the full distance from the roll. It's the next best thing to keeping them right by you. And stupid question, one that I should know from having played this game too damn much but the answer escapes me, doesnt the huttball apply a "slow" to the holder and prevent a full roll distance in the first place?

  25. This. I started TOR as a keyboard turning clicker, then progressed to keybinds and now have a Naga. It's helped a great deal. The saying "practice makes perfect" applies here. You won't get used to it unless you stick with it. But once you do your gameplay will show marked improvement, I guarantee it.
