On 9 15 2017 a new patch or some thing has caused the launcher to pause and initialize and download new content. Whatever it is, it isn't happening. the launcher stops and i get this message: "This application has encountered an unspecified error. Please try this patch again". Which of course does nothing except give the same error code. I get on to the internet with no problem and i have a nice steady strong signal. i have restarted my computer on the off chance there was some hiccup in the system. Please tell me i don't have to reload the entire freaking game from disc and sit through 6 days of downloading patches. Not again. It wont happen. Not again.

My game has been running fine up through 2/2/17 when i logged off. On 2/3/17 i clicked the game icon and on the pop up i put in my game info and password, just like every other day, and the patcher popped up and the bottom edge said "initializing" just like every other day. Only problem is, it's been 10 hours. If i go to cancel it, it claims its patching. I got on TS and spoke to some guild mates and they tell me there was no patch this morning, no maintenance, nothing. They all got on in the standard few seconds. Whats is wrong and how do i fix it?

Yup, sure enough. I hit default and everything came up. Then i had fun resetting all the frames again .. but I've saved it and I'm up and rolling again. Thank you for your kind assistance.

At the beginning of the month to see what a buff or skill was, i merely had to hover my mouse over them, and a box opened with the descriptions, stats of, & time remaining, if applicable. Now, after reloading the game, I no longer have that. Is there something I'm missing? Some way to regain my lost descriptions? As it stands now, i have no idea what some of my skills are, as there is no description available. Help?

And i hope, after you get done laughing, you can help. I just got done downloading the game. It took 3 days to fully download. Then i spent 2 hours resetting my controls as best as i could remember, the screen boxes etc. What a pain in the butt. It would be nice if EA stored our UI settings as well as our characters but oh well. Everything looked good, i even said hi to my guild mates i haven't seen since the 4th (it's a story longer than this one). Then i found that the open gtn page took up 90% of the width of my screen and the inventory page took up almost 50%. This is not how it was before this all started. It used to be the gtn page and my open inventory fit side by side with room to spare. Here comes "something dumb". Not remembering what exactly did what, i changed my screen from "full screen" to "windowed". MAJOR error. My game screen is now almost 1/32" of an inch wide and about 3" high. I cannot access the in game controls to reset the screen. When i click the launcher, it pops up and I'm able to log in, but the character loading screen is squished and tiny. HOW, if possible, do i repair my dumb mistake?

No error message.. nothing at all. I click the launcher and nothing happens. When i open the task manager it says the launcher has 0% activity. It's active. Actively doing nothing.

Yup, chapters are solo. Regular game play is multiplayer at players choice.

Is there a way to download the latest launcher? I just want to download and install the latest launcher.

OK, you are correct. It was poorly phrased. I'm sick and tired of EA and my ISP blaming each other and being caught in the middle. Since neither will offer to actually help me, short of showing me how it's the other guys fault, i want to try to bypass them both and just download/reinstall the latest launcher in an effort to correct the problem. So. Is there a way to access the latest launcher and download it?

Yeah, it sucks when you're typing names. If you goof it up and don't catch it before you hit enter, you're stuck with it.

My launcher has ceased to function. I have contacted EA support and run the gambit of hoops and tricks and tips and collected information in ways i never thought possible. They finally decided that due to UO Tracer path dropping a few times it had to be the fault of my ISP. So i contacted them and went through their hoops and tricks and finally we got down to Pingpathing to both swtor.com and the launcher site easo.ea.com. Pinging swtor was clear and quick with 0% drops. Easo.ea.com pinging was slow - average time 153ms but also 0% drops. then i redid the uo trace and again it was dropping packets. Is there anyway, short of having to delete the entire game from my system and reload 5 years of patching *shudder*, that i can reload the latest launcher? I know the original launcher is available, but that's useless to me.. unless of course it then automatically downloads all the subsequent launchers. HELP

You let us choose which flashpoint we want to compete in, have the decency to allow us to choose which pvp we wish to compete in. And bailing after signing into a war zone is ********* method of choosing. Let us make the choice before clicking 'ok'.

Companions - humanoid build anyway, should be able to ride behind or with the player or the personal speeder.
