  1. I have to agree with the OP. Whilst I do still enjoy the game the sheer incompetence recently of both game dev and the myriad of bugs they keep introducing and poor response time on them along with sheer lack of QA and the utterly horrific CS waiting times/responses general malaise is really beginning to take its toll. Tickets left unanswered for 6 weeks, others a response that has nothing to do with the actual ticket issue. Whilst I wasn't bothered about the rakghoul event I can understand why it is annoying loads. However the half arsed fix to the GTN that has been going on 10 days now is terrible its a core bloody feature of the game to leave it in the state its in so long is atrocious.
  2. approaching 1 month for 1 of mine and that was 2 weeks of going back and forth with the idiots who kept asking for more info, their canned response when they simply cannot be bothered to deal with it. Now 6-7 weeks since the original ticket was opened am still yet to get a actual response. they did however reply to another that was a week old again with a cant be bothered to fix or even acknowledge theres an issue response in respect of items I spent a fair bit of RL cash to get.
  3. Any news on these ? When 4.0 hit a number of armor sets became uncomplete that were complete prior. This seems to have happened when companions where wearing specific pieces of it but took a week or 2 to notice long after deleting them from mail/inventory. Ticketing is absolutely pointless in respect of anything these days you either get a need more info or a this is a bug and will be fixed in 23 years time canned response back. Don't believe Dev have even acknowledged this issue yet. A fair few of the sets that are now missing items thus not complete I paid a pretty penny in CC to get.
  4. Yeah that ones a bit odd seems a bit of a hefty one for a class that wasnt FOTM same can be said for lethality OP it was already a bit of underperformer that nerf will put it almost to the bottom of the pile.

As a infil shadow main of 4 years not just a FOTM one I think the changes were somewhat needed, There were 3 main specs that were overperforming creating a DPS spread of 10% over the lowest this makes those classes near the bottom totally undesired in HM ops etc and with NIM on the way even though they are completely viable for them would have made this worse. Even watchman the spec that they have always said is intended as the highest damage single target spec has received a 1.4-1.7% damage reduction. I honestly don't think it will be massive nerf lets say for argument sake since some put it at 2% and some at 4% so we will use 3% My best parse to date is 6569 224 7 piece mainhand/offhand a 3% nerf still puts that at 6371 which is still in a very good place PVE wise IMO still the best it's been in 4 years of the spec especially when you include the utility we bring to a party as well be it CC, stealth rez, or even our small heal with agro drop. I know people say well why not just buff the others. Well you can nerf 3/4 spec or you can boost 14 others which would be the better option from a development standpoint, the overperformers still sit in a range that will be more than capable of NIM content and it makes the others a lot more viable bringing the overall DPS spread to a much better 5% than the 9-10% we presently see between the highest and lowest.
  6. Noticing recently as are others that most tickets are just being closed for a lack of info despite the fact that these tickets couldn't possibly have more information, can CS just not be bothered anymore. 2.5 weeks 5 tickets closed everyone has had all the information required and then some.
  7. OPS, gearing all your alts I presume you have done all 8 story's, GSF, collections etc etc good luck finding an MMO that isnt grindy at end game.
  8. Not really your the one who said the game should never be offline. WOW has had full day issues multiple times, looking at it through rose tinted glasses much. September 2012 EU servers unavailable for over 24hrs. April 2015 server down 8 hrs past the advertised maint times. Nov 2014/Dec 2014 2 patch days extended massively due to DDOS attacks. Those are on the 1st page of google having never played WOW I couldn't tell you an example 1st hand so had to google but I can give you instances for pretty much every other major MMO since the genre began having days like today. It's not laying down and letting people walk all over, its having worked and played the genre for over 18 years and accepting that these things can and do happen no matter how big your company be it the tiny indie mmo or the $500m blockbuster. Back to playing Battlefront, damn evil EA's plan of making me buy battlefront due to swtor being down worked.

Class story is x6 xp throw in the legacy 30% for class quests and xp boosts theres a 55% increase putting you at x9 bear in mind that x12 was the sub perk for a while allowing you to only level with class missions so your not far away with it. Personally I threw the legacy FP boost on as well did a couple of tacticals once hit 15 and thanks to the insane xp in them, the groupfinder intro mission the mission completion, daily etc you essentially jump from 15 to 25+ in about an hour. I then went back to class missions only and I was 47 by the time I completed it. did 47-58 jumping 2 levels at a time in FP's then at 58 ran a TFB and got to 64.5. Essentially you can put as little as an hour into making up the level difference needed to just do the class quests.

Your saying the game should never be taken offline for maintenance or patching, so your happy with a game that has bugs ?, your happy with a game who's performance will begin to degrade the longer that time passes without maintenance ? Jebus people its a game sure I would have liked to login today, UK based so we have lost most the day to it but hey ho these things happen now and again, every MMO has had these days and every MMO inthe future will have these days as well, No matter how good your test environment and QA are 1 day something like this will happen.
  11. Which mobs in Star Fortress ? Knights can be stunned, immobilised. So only mobs i can think of are the main bosses but thats a moot point at alliance 10 anyway when you get the turret which tbh you should be using on bosses anyway as its cooldown is so quick. Positional requirement is what makes a infil fun IMO otherwise it just becomes another stand still and button mash class.

Playing fine prior to maintenance now can't get to character selection screen, load screen just stays and circle spins, Only ever seen this once before back in 2013 and I know it was an issue at Biowares side post patch. Just wondering if anyone else seeing similar so I can bug it up or if I'm gonna have to try to fix it my end.
  13. I have been playing a Infil shadow as my main for the best part of 3 years now having fell out of love with my mando/merc with the repeated nerfs it got in that 1st year. Deception/infiltration is perfectly adequate for PVE. You wont chew though kill H2/Dailies as fast as a Sage/Sorc can as they are AOE beasts. But there are quite a few stealth can skip by. I probably get a full run finished quicker on my shadow than I do my sage. Star Fortress, I have Senya at level 50 as a healer I'm also well geared and have all buffs now but started soloing them unbuffed when Senya was around level 20 the only oh crap moment was at the final lift stage found bosses etc easy but those 2 knights cause some hurt if you cant get into stealth and mez one. You can also skip the vast majority of it making getting through them pretty quick. H4 A doddle still havent tried HM in 4.0 yet. Tacticals - You can be the best infil/deception in the world but if your team is crap your not finishing, this is the same for any class. Ops, our sustained damage is good, we are great at target switching as all dmg is instant, can stealth rez, can off tank SM even as DPS the only area we fall down in is if its a mob heavy ops as our AOE is very very limited. The sheer playstyle of Infil/decept is just damn good fun your not stood there spamming buttons or pressing 1 attack over and over looking at you sage even in the bread and butter stuff your on the move.
  14. Threat's of suicide aren't taken lightly I spent a decade in the industry on 4 MMO's including both SW ones and every company had a policy for handling them. MMO1 - Using billing details/IP find local police/law enforcement and notify them of the threat. This would often result in a call from the police to the end user if not a visit. MMO2 - Contact user provide samaritans number or such like as well as notify local law enforcement MMO3 - look at use of word and guage if a suicide threat or something relating to character, engage the user and keep engaged whilst a second agent contacted local law enforcement. MMO4 - Same as MMO1 More often than not it's an overreaction to something stupid and very few off the cuff threats have any grounding to them, the only that genuinely concerned me that I was involved in was back in 2005 and a user who's chat habit's had changed dramatically and numerous within their guild had raised concerns. Being a functioning Schizophrenic myself his chat patterns and changes looked very much like a psychotic break was happening so law enforcement were notified. That player never logged back in during my time still with the company and sadly we never get any word back so you always question whether something happened or not. Still to this day I wonder if that guy had took action or been committed just never to return or such like.
  15. As a shadow main I disagree with aspects of the whine. Try playing a infil shadow in present PVP even with the goodies that we choose they still suffer in PVP you can 1v1 most can do all that shizzle but with poor burst so by the time someones down a call is made. So it isn't the goodies that are at fault. The issue isn't in the goodies but rather hatred in itself with it's new self heal core to its rotation and the absolute moronic decision to bring dot spread to the game.

That's my only real complaint about this, ultimates for gearing comps or whatever made the 55sm worthwhile doing. now 60s are pretty much stuck with 2 ops in a game that was already lacking content even with the 55's. I think it's high time a lot of the older content was revisited and adjusted starting with the 50 stuff 1st then next xpac and 65 bring df/dp etc up and so on.

  18. The difference being nobody got holidays in December that year it required exceptional circumstances to get them everyone was on hand from studio heads down to the cleaner.
  19. There are also other methods some with faster gain for time invested. There is a great one in black hole in the area where you have to release the scientists. There are 4/5 golds in this area each ALWAYS drops at least a green item and some decent cash and is on such a fast spawn that by the time you get to 5th 1 is respawning so you just run the loop. You can make upwards of 325k an hour doing this, of course this requires that you can get the place pretty much to yourself and at times I do see others farming the same route. If someone else is running the route then it simply isnt worth it. There is never no harm in checking though whilst doing your daily and making a 30 minute route run a part of your daily it sure can help fill the bank up fast.
  20. the Inspiron 3647 came with the HD4400 intel graphics chip. You will manage to play on lowest settings at good frames you might even manage to squeeze out med provided you disable bloom and turn off shadows I would expect serious performance hits in 16m content though to the point it probably isnt playable.

I think we are in a decent place at a PVE level but yes some of our lustre has been lost at a PVP level I don't feel it's because other classes are performing better but rather the increase in health pools. Pre 3.0 I could burst someone dead in a few moves spinning kick shadow strike stun breach, breach/project they couldnt get a call off and there was plenty of time to cap. Now it's just not possible your either having to burst through 40k of PVP armour or a 55-60k PVE health pool they will still die 1v1 just not before they get a call off and your capping is interupted. Don't get me wrong there isnt many classes out there will beat us 1v1 unless they catch you at the right time but we just lack the burst that made our class valuable in PVP for 1v1 node caps.
  22. I lol'd at this yesterday having pewpew'd much since 3.0 came due to FPS issues new laptop is performing well so got a morning of pvp uner my belt and I see you wern't kidding
  23. We don't really know yet is probably the best answer, still a lot of theorycrafting and testing going on. I think infil is going to end up pretty standard of aiming for the good old 100/110 acc 27& crit 70% surge then mainstat/power but serenity is offering a whole new ballgame we are seeing that stacking alcaricity is making it a PVP beast but people are still dummy parsing/real world testing if that translates well into PVE.
