  1. I'm new to Assassin and I love the deception play style. I'm just wondering if it's a good one for PVE ops. I enjoy doing dailies on him and it seems fairly fast. What are your opinions/facts on PVE game play. thanks, Hastalosjuevos
  2. Thank you all for the comments. I appreciate it.
  3. Ok, I overheard someone in fleet talking about shield and absorb over 50% not making any difference. Then I hear other people saying that it does make a difference. What's the deal? I'll make it simple. If I have 54.67% absorption, am I absorbing 54.67% of the damage? And if I have 52.01% shield chance. Am I going to shield 52.01% of the time when attacked? Or am I simply over geared in these two stats because nobody can exceed 50%? And what is the ideal stat scenario? 20% D, 50% Sh, 50% Ab?
  4. I agree 100%. Also, I hate when you go on the Imperial fleet and you listen to some jazzy music from the 40s. It's not a Tattooine dive like the cantina was. Also, turn the lights down in every single zone. Play more Star Wars music when you're running around. Half the time I feel like I'm not in the Star Wars universe until I hear Lightsabers going off. Turn down the bright lights in every zone except Kaon.
  5. I'm one of the guys that runs with Loic. I agree that the field respec should be changed to dual spec. It feels like BW is taking good ideas from WoW and then builds a clunky version of that mechanic and expects us to think it's new and fresh. Kind of like that sorry excuse of a combat log we're forced to deal with. Can you build a more counter-intuitive feature? Maybe in 1.4 we'll get a dual spec feature where we email our spec choices to BW and they do it for us. New and fresh! ps Loic. Imp rules, rep drools. *love*
  6. Thanks for the replies guys. Great feedback.
  7. I've read that you should take Project off your bar if you're Balance specced PVE Shadow since it uses so much force. Is this true? If so, would this be a decent spec for PVE Operations? I didn't go with the 30% to armor because I figure 30% of my crap armor wouldn't help so I opted for more Force Speed uses instead. 7/3/31
  8. Now let's talk about Qyzen vs. Khem Val. Qyzen waits for you to kill half the enemies before he helps. Khem Val kills half the enemies before you can help.
  9. Surely you're joking. There's a delay on project and not on shock?
  10. Main reason I don't pvp is that I despise the whiny pvp'ers complaining; thus screwing up classes in a game where PVE was the core design of the game (Oh it wasn't? hello Ilum). If you want to pvp, go play CoD or another pew pew game. Wish pvp was never even thought of in MMO space. Or, just design two games. On PVP servers, characters have a talents that might be similar to pve servers, but geared towards pvp. And vice versa.
  11. The system makes no sense and offers nothing of value to your character. Time to move on.
  12. OK, well I was actually hoping that people would flame me for not noticing some awesome feature it provided. Looks as if it's useless other than giving roleplaying zitpoppers the fantasy of getting a wife. Boo BW for all your hype. If you want us to grind credits for crackheads for 1 minute reductions on QT, go visit the original everquest developers and have them introduce to you the idea of Alternate Advancement points. It would have been great to turn your legacy levels into AA points where you can actually buy skills that could improve your character in combat. Honestly the only thing cool about this legacy thing is the ability to make alts with races of the opposite faction. (if you level it to 50 of course). Ugh...least we get sprint at 1.
  13. All the imps are scratching their heads right now. Nice post! Mr. Bisector.
  14. Someone help me understand the point of the family tree. Is it just so I can roleplay by myself and see that my SW is married to my JC? And then tomorrow they can be siblings? Am I missing something or was this a massive waste of development time? Why are the choices not meaningful where you can see the benefits you get of having certain classes as rivals, siblings or married? Instead of all classes getting all buffs and legacy heroic skills. Since this game has jammed "choice is important" down our throats for years, why aren't these family tree choices permanent? It's a pretty fruity thing if you ask me.
