Thanks everyone for the suggestions. If assault specialist is really subbar to gunnery then I guess I may respec back into that. I will definitely look into and experiment with the information provided however.

Hello, everyone. I was wondering if I could get some help... So I've been told many times that assault spec does more damage compared to gunnery and vice versa, which in truth, I believe the difficulty lying in people not managing their heat and rotation with assault well enough. Though often more than not, when I have a well-geared gunnery mando on my team (And me having tier 3 and tier 4 gear on) they often do more damage than me than I can pull out and I often find myself fighting enemies longer compared to them (And yeah, I got my rotation right. I know assault is difficult to pull off but I have succeeded where others have failed. I go Serrated bolt, incendiary round, supercharge cell, assault plastique, mag bolt, full auto, rinse and repeat. I occasionally fire hail of bolts to proc my mag bolt for fire again and throw in hammer shots to control heat). I luv assault specialist and it is the spec I want to get into when playing ranked so I was wondering if anyone could tell me what are the best stats I should get for my spec? So far, I have all alacrity augments for main gear pieces (chest, helmet, etc.), one alacrity and one crit implant, crit head piece, with the rest mostly crit/ mastery based gear which is what I got from the gear vendors so far and I have not been able to procure the money yet to get the mods and enhancements I need. So far, my stats look like this: 106% accuracy (395 accuracy) Around 43.18% ranged crit (1212 crit) 32.12% tech crit 12.81% Alacrity ( 1383 alacrity) 3475 power 6487 mastery I know for sure my gear is not looking good in its current state which is why I hardly do enough damage, I have no power augments yet and most of my gear has pretty good mastery. What exactly should I focus on to increase my dps tremendously? Thanks in advance.

Ahh ok gotcha that's my bad. I will be sure to rectify my rotation then. As for my utilities, I have after burners but I did not take the gyroscopic alignment jets. Instead, I took Jet escape cause I thought the cd reduction it offered is most important but I will change my utilities as you suggested and see how it works out. And yes I always always ALWAYS dot spread when there is usually 3+ people in vicinity of each other. Thank you for the suggestions.

Ok so I got back into I/O and I feel like I'm doing something wrong. Other Arsenal mandos are often out dpsing me by usually 60k or more, sometimes far more than that. Idk what I'm doing wrong but I could use some tips if anyone has any. My attacks usually go something like Mag bolt -> Supercharged Cell -> Serrated bolt -> Incendiary round -> Assault Plastique -> Full auto -> Mag bolt when pops -> then charged bolt a couple of times then back again.

So, officially, there's no way to outmatch arsenal with innovative ordnance in ranked?

Seriously I'm about damn getting sick of waiting and waiting for the damn developers to do something about mando/merc in pvp. I wish they could get their **** together and DO something. Until they do, I'm gonna unsub cause this is getting downright ridiculous...

So...along with these pvp changes r there any possibilites of fixing commando included atlast or r we gonna have to wait another bloody decade before commandos become more viable?

Ok so I've been playing assault specialist in pvp for a while now. While I feel like I'm really getting the hang of the class my biggest issue: ammo. Does anyone have any tips on ammo management cause like halfway thru a big fight I find myself draining of my resources pretty quick especially when I attempt to spread my dots with plasma grenade and sticky grenade.

Ok I have to admit that the argumenet I read here was very very interesting but I have to ask still. Is pyrotech itself viable in ranked pvp if used from a pro's perspective? I've been pvping in mmos for 7 years now and believe me it doesnt take me long to master any particular spec but I wanted to ask everyones opinion cause while the posts were enlightening I'm still conflicted about whether I should go down with this spec or not or if I should just roll AP.
