  1. Hi all, Returning player here,(male, 40) looking for a casual guild that has a broad interest. I enjoy story modes, flashpoints, crafting and some PvP every so often. I started back in 2011, took a long break, came back in 2015 briefly and took a break again and now im back, happy to see so much new stuff has been added. I am a subscriber, and I play Concealment Operative and Arsenal Mercenary. I'd like to join a guild that does a bit of everything. I cant promise alot of Discord/TS or similar activity, but I would like to do some group content and learn from people since, let me be honest, I am quite nooby after having left for so long. Legacy lvl 23. My playtimes are evenings when I can, and some daytime in weekends if time permits. My work is quite intense and consumes alot of time, but I would still very much like to be part of something and contribute. Thanks for considering me! Vandriss
  2. Hey there, I was wondering if you are still recruiting? I am a semi casual player, with a full time job that is looking for a home. Unfortunately I cant participate on discord much I am afraid, but I would like to be part of something bigger My interests are pretty much everything PvE and PVP, and I am a returning player that has been back for a couple weeks now. Never raided, but I like playing the various Empire stories and still have to go through the new content for the most part. Let me know if this works out for you. Cheers (Love the name btw)
  3. Dude. I dont use facebook or twitter yet I know. It was even mentioned in the client launcher a few times.
  4. So many games where people said similar things, and yet the vast majority of them are still very much alive aand kicking. Opinions, perceptions - not facts. Swtor has its quircks but still seems to do well.
  5. On the contrary, Zannah can barely hold her own versus a capable duelist, there is no record of her beating anyone notable in straight up sabre combat. She is a sorcerous type.
  6. Nice topic! Least favorite has to be Balmorra, I really dont like the navigation there As for my favourite? Hard to say, I enjoy most. Alderaan is great, big, varied and has some interesting quests. Hoth and Tatooine capture the desolate world's theme nicely and Dromund Kaas has a proper grim vibe going on, just as Taris. But my biggest favorite? Nar Shaddaa. Bright lights big city kinda thing. Sparkly place and colorful - love it.
  7. Can't please everyone. For every yes there must be a no - balance in all things. Man, I almost sound like a Jedi. Brb rerolling from Sith
  8. So sexist only male voice over alternatives?
  9. Personally, I'm not bothered about the semi-rotation system. Yes, you get the same WZ at times, but rage worthy? Not for me at least. I can imagine some WZ's being less favored than others, which varies from person to person, but a select WZ mode? I dont think that will work. It may lead to longer queue times even. What you should be able to do is pick one to blacklist. That way you at least can choose to avoid the one WZ that bothers you that day. 8 people enter a game. 7 want to play. 1 person decides to AFK, and ruins it for his team. Bad manner. Leave early and let another take your place (unless it's ranked, then just play for the love of god - dont be a douche). it's not like you get a timer preventing you from queueing again.
  10. I did the same number crunch. Why on earth would you even bother spending such an amount. Absurd. Even if cash grew on your back it would be absurd. But I shouldn't judge. We all do things others find silly.
  11. Hey all, I read the game has had a couple bonus XP weekends, and once with a 12x XP bonus even. Recently I returned to the game after a 4 year 'break' to love this game once more. Been back for a little over 4 weeks at the time of this post. Now I am curious, these bonus XP weekends. Is that a returning thing? And if so, when is the next one? Merely curious Thank you for any feedback. V.
  12. Ah the famous 'game X is dying' posts. So many games had this said about them and I think p much each and every one of them is still out there. If you played the games content so excessively, then indeed, level up in IRL some.
  13. I can never understand why a response to an honest question - even if in the eyes of some its something you shouldnt fail on - has to be rude. Reply to the question and reserve judgment to your thoughts. Best way to keep forums civil.
  14. The amount of Assassin's I've seen walking into FP as tank, spamming lightings, and not using Dark Charge but Lighting Charge and never ever Dark Warding. It almost gets to me at times, but I just tend to take over tanking (I play Juggernaut) and work us all through it, not bothering too much commenting on it anymore.
  15. After reading the last comment you wrote (see my quote), I am curious: do you use keybinds, and mouse move? Apart from the obvious gear problem, I have a hunch you possibly need a little time to adapt by using your mouse more for movement. As for reducing your pain and squishyness, have a look at this informative video about bolster mechanics. It's a complex system, but you want to get your expertise to 2018 in order to both deal and mitigate as much damage as possible until you have all your pvp items. All that remains to say is - stay positive and bring some friends! Otherwise, stick with the groups till you get some proper pvp items. It's a big step from 59 to 60 PvP wise, you'll basically be at the bottom of the foodchain and when players notice how quick you drop - you'll be focused even more. Just push forward, and practice ! EDIT: as mentioned before, i you wish to check your Expertise rating, go to the bridge of Ziost Shadow on fleet. On the northern part of the map, slightly left is a terminal and 2 test dummies where you can see your current Expertise value.
  16. It is pretty much a little one-step quest. You hit Dromund Kaas, a imperial asks about your activities concerning Black Talon/fighting republics and in the city you report to a Sith who asks you to give your view on how well the republic fought you. You answer, get a reward and viola - reward
  17. As much as I agree with the OP, this post is also a perfect example of how difficult it is to please a crowd. In many different games people tend to complain how endgame stuff is too easy or 'dumbed down' and here we find the exact opposite. Once again OP, I agree with you, this just sparked to mind when reading it.
  18. Despite me only occassionally viewing Wizbasky's video's - it is merely my personal opinion when I say that sometimes there is a little too much said during the video's, sometimes I'd simply like to watch the action (volume buttons fix this) - I can say that Wizbasky always states it is HIS way of playing so claiming some of his content is purposely designed to make players play bad is nonsense. And lastly I would like to add that claiming he is full of himself is also nonsense. I cannot recall a single video in which he gloats, claims himself to be the best (he often says he considers himself to be just above average) or any of those things. At best Wizbasky suggest people to try out things. if you're gonna lash out at someone, make sure you have some proper arguments, because - apologies upfront - these statements basically make you look foolish.
  19. Bioware specifically stated that the PT was designed to be a melee class with moderate ranged options:
  20. Lol. Unsubbing for losing Unload. The responses from some people to this change are ridiculous.
  21. Hi there, I am also curious to know if you are still open for recruitment on the republic side. I play often, both weekly evenings and weekends. My interests lie in both PvE and PvP, with a tendency to prefer PvP. Can i message to you ingame for a little chitchat? V EDIT: I'm a returning player, I currently only have a lvl 21 operative. Played during headstart for a few months but quit when my old guild disbanded. Looking to settle in with a active, sociable group.
  22. Hello forum dwellers, Second time I visit these forums with a question. I've been playing 2 weeks again now since my return - I left not too long after reaching 50 shortly after the game's headstart. Needless to say I am having a great time, enjoying the story and the warzones, al that. Currently playing an Operative, totally love that. But I am a person that likes variety and thus I am very curious about other classes and their specs. This weekend I tried a bunch of of them because I'd like to have an alt, if not just for the switcheroo but also for an additional craft (GTM is expensive people, no idea how to rack up funds like that yet). I made a Sith Juggernaut, Sorcerer, Assassin, Mercenary - but I can't decide! I am even tempted to pick Sniper. What am I asking basically? Not if you can tell me what I need to play, what's OP and what's not - rather what you enjoy playing in both PvP and PvE and why. I don't want to invest hours into a single character only to realize at - or close to - endgame that I aint feeling it. So why did you pick your class/spec and what keeps you playing it? Your input will help me make my own decision, so appreciated in advance if you choose to contribute to my search with a helpful reply. Cheers, V
  23. Thanks for the nice responses! Tonight seems to be verrrry different. Queues pop nearly instantly. Looks like I dont have to swap servers!
  24. Thank you for such a post, makes me happy it makes you happy! So am l correct to gather from that shared information that WZ PvP is not cross server? Then, considering the (level) youth of my no-longer padawan Sage, looking into a better server seems the better plan. If i may be so forward, considering you mentioned you partake happily in PvP and ranked on top of that, would your guild be open to accepting a spirited returning player? The kind that wont bug endlessly with question that has answers hidden in the game's codex but rather build oriented or mechanical-change based questions? One that aims to go for ranked endgame and also the PvE in all it's variety? And if (hopefully) so, what server and faction would I need to be a part of? As far as the CE items go, they never were THAT special, its mostly the Founder title that would have been nice to have, but since it does nothing else but display 'I was here during headstart!' I won't be too bothered going without it.
