Maybe if the game were marketed as "freemium", rather than F2P, people might get the restrictions. They see F2P, they expect just that--completely free to play, no restrictions whatsoever. Then again, marketing in any major business prides themselves on the ability to turn a phrase.

Yeah, devs came out and said the so-called "third faction" is a faction for story purposes only--it is NOT playable or in any other way affects current mechanics in that regard. It's much like the Revanites, so to speak.

They don't get that it wasn't about the "99 credits". It's that, in the history of gaming economics, you've NEVER been able to sell back an item for more than you paid for it. It's also the not-so-small matter of "buy stack of 99, sell back, repeat ad infinitum" that was creating credits out of thin air.

But it isn't "their" cup of tea. It wasn't mentioned in 40 point "war type" that new FPs/OPS/elder game (I refuse to use the term "endgame" for a game that has no defined "end") content is coming/planned/a twinkle in the devs' eye so, as far as they're concerned, there's no content coming at all.
