  1. You have a point. Healing is not impossible in this game right now, but mouse-over targeting would be a big quality of life upgrade IMHO.
  2. I think your on to something Lethality. This game has a lot going for it, but it needs more! I was just reading through the Guild Wars 2 web site and they have a lot of great ideas going into their game. Dynamic events, Environmental Weapons, and inprovised tactics looked very interesting. I wouldn't mind seeing BioWare venture outside the box a little bit when it comes to new ideas. I hope they are not afraid to test the waters.
  3. I suppose I dont understand this point at all. I play a sage, and if I let a melee near me I die in a few GCDs, I think this is a great penalty for ranged getting to close. and for the record, I have NEVER stolen ANY ONES cake.... EVER!
  4. I would go as far as to say melee enjoy a much better quality of life (in terms of gap-closing) then most other MMOs, lots of force jumps, harpoon pulls ect. out there.
  5. Please provide a better reason. melee dont "suffer 100% damage loss at range" they are just a melee class. Keep in mind that ranged basically suffer from from 100% damage increase in melee range because ranged classes were designed to have to be at range to both survive and deal damage, cant have both in melee range. Frankly, I think these game mechanics are working as intended. No need to re-invent the wheel.
  6. What about a neutral zone/swoop race zone. You could swoop race and try and beat NPC times OR if there is another player there (sith or pubs) you could challenge them to a swoop race much like a duel? They could even make an animation of your character taking off their glove and slapping the would be opponent in the face! thoughts?
  7. Yup, and thats why this is a good game. Lots of class counters. It all comes together quite well when everyone is working as a team, and playing their classes strengths.
  8. You nailed it. No need for a nerf, but LOTS of need for good communication in PvP. Clear the rafters. Problem solved.
  9. What about just pairing a low pop server with a high pop server? That would help preserve the server communities and help queue times. Duel Server Communities?
  10. 4 sec is more than enough time to get the upper hand. Not to mention the fact that there heals are only about 2k. As a DPS class I have never even bothered interrupting the 2k heals it takes Mercs forever to cast.
  11. Im a sage. I guess your right. They should nerf sorcs/sages for being popular. That way all sorcs/sages will suck and people will stop playing them problem solved. You seem to have a firm grasp on the concept of balance. popular=OP. I cant believe Bioware hasn't hired you as the CEO.
  12. For anyone new t this topic, this OP has clearly never played a Sage/Sorc at end game. At level 50 every class can counter them, the only thing you need is skill. L2P, practice makes perfect.
  13. Ever thought about just letting the sage/sorc go and taking your team of 4-5 people to go complete a PvP objective? The best part about force speed is that, when properly used, you can entice 4-5 people to chase you around while the rest of your team.... WINS THE GAME. Seriously, the first thing you did wrong in PvP was get tunnel vision trying to kill one Sage/sorc. Let them run, they are taking them selves out of the fight giving you and your 4 buddies an opportunity to get back to the actual match. There is no aspect/ability of SWTOR PvP that is so OP that it negates good tactics. If your a good player you can play ANY class well. L2P.
  14. Good post. These forums need a little more love.
  15. I dont think Tracer Missile should be nerfed, it is VERY easy to LoS. But I dont think you have actually played a sage/sorc before, if lightning strike/disturbance hit that hard then there would be no reason use any of the dozen other abilities they have. It would render all the other mechanics useless. C'mon.
