  1. Its was actually simple - all you had to do was kill the first 4 clones then DPS race the boss before you were overwhelmed
  2. So me and my guild were having raid night last evening and were going to do Karraga's palace. Since we still had a few new players to raiding we decided to split the 16 players in to two groups of 8 for separate ops groups. We entered in our respective instances and began moving forward ( we were all geared fairly well so it didn't take long.) Well we arrived at bonethrasher and received an interesting surprise. His swipe was doing 30k damage a hit (Didn't know it was possible to get that much Hitpoints) His knockback which should of only done 10 meters was doing more around 35 - (Hunker down does not make you Immune to it, beautiful) and his health was at around 1.2 mil. Now check me if I'm wrong, but I had remembered his health being only around 800-900k hitpoints on normal. Anyways, due to almost always losing around 2-4 DPS to his knockback in his acid early in the fight we wiped consistently from the enrage timer. Soon we checked with our sister group and we found they were having the same problems. After some talking we decided to just convert into one big group of 16 and have some fun even if we wiped. We entered the instance.. It stayed exactly the same That's not the scary part - we continued on and we found Jargo and Surgo were stuck in 8 man mode - however Foreman crusher seemed to have the proper HP for a 16 man. After that all the other bosses had the proper HP for there instance. My question? Was our 8 man instance stuck in 16 man or was our 16 man stuck in 8 man? TL;DR. Random KP bosses are stuck in 8 man mode while others are stuck in 16 no matter how you switch the instance - confused? Welcome to the party
  3. Gunsingler/Sniper. Marauders tend to be gimped since they have to fight so close. Being a long range damage dealer makes it very easy to sit next to an LoS spot if you ever need to avoid that destructive AoE that the Annihilator puts out.
  4. Yes. In PvP please stop knocking (and attacking) my damage breaking stuns on players im about to destroy with XS freighter. It is very very annoying. In PvE. Learn how to keep agro off of me and I won't knock the mob away. Id rather put stress on you then the healer.
  5. Thank you!! Been leveling a Shadow Tank and I think this may help with my PvP knowledge a bit. I also should thank you for that post from George - knowing that crit chance can perhaps eliminate shielding against a target if the proper buffs are used could be extremely helpful in PvP with my Gunslinger.
  6. Love everything about my Gunslinger. So far I have not encountered a story more entertaining then the Gunslingers and no class can make more amusing comments then this one. In PvE I have always cherished my Gunslinger, having tightened up my rotation and respending some skill tree points into some things Id actually use, I always find my self critting 4.5 -5k and destroying boss fights long before the enrage timers engaged. I especially get a very nice a feeling when we can still manage to barely beat the boss when the other DPS dies in the middle of the fight and we can just bring him down right after the enrage timer. In PvP I was beginning to get very discouraged and was almost fed up with Illum, however I read a few guides on Gunslinger PvP strats and now I DESTROY anyone and anything in 1 vs 1 fights. Plus I consistently rank over 225k with damage in warzones. All in all, my Gunslinger will always be my main.
  7. Go to your abilities and take out "Crouch." Then move it to a quickslot - that should fix your problem

If we were to allow players to choose their Warzone before they could queue across servers, then it would negatively affect how often every player would see a Warzone Oh, I do apologize for bursting your bubble, but we all know it had to be broken sooner or later. To clarify, NO. They did not in any place say they would make cross server queuing for Flashpoints. In fact, all I can see that they would be enabling it for Warzones and Warzones only. Not only was your OP wrong in his quote (How exactly did you pull LFG tool out of that) but I think it's laughable to see how many of you didn't actually read the blog post.   9. To start off, Ive played a Smuggler Gunslinger to level 50. Ive ground everything to max, and I raid regularly on it with my guild. I absolutely love the class. The sheer amount of single target DPS and combination of nuking power/strategy made the class perfect for me. Thus saying, Im use to the class and I know how to play it. It's fairly easy now. Well, Me and my Brother decided to reroll Alts to play with family members who were just starting. He chose a Consular sage - and Me tired of ranged DPS decided to roll a Shadow Tank for the group. All I can say is that I was amazed on how pleasantly easy it is to play. I don't die near instantly, the DPS is fairly acceptable, PvP is a faceroll, plus the switch in game rolls is nice. Now combine this with the amazing damage reduction (Honestly, I tank better with it then I did on the Vanguard) the stealth, the Cc's. My Gosh - Bioware babied this class. Not complaining, I actually wanted to thank you for it I love being able to get 8-10 medals in PvP
  10. As a tank, using the skill to build quick agro on a ranged mob is extremely useful. If my taunts are on CD then you can be sure that il use Project to build agro on a dwindiling add.
  11. Ive gotten my consular to 20 so far and Il say the story is pretty ok. Compared to my Smuggler it is hideously boring - but its still quite entertaining. I fail to see the hate on since I myself am enjoying it

  15. The Smuggler ship is the most eye pleasing ship when doing space combat - the Consular is surely the most comfortable one.
  16. I would like higher HM drop rates. I received more gear in one run of EV then I did from a week of grinding HM's
  17. No, it is not a faceroll - however it is not exactly EQ. (Which I'm very thankful for.) I believe it would be you and your guilds fault for powerleveling to 50, then expecting to have 15 raids set up

  19. On my server it is actually near impossible for the Republic to get WZ dailies done. Alderaan is normally an instant loss for us since we more often start out with not enough players - this leaves Huttball and Voidstar. These two are consistent ties on my server - our groups have gotten to the point in the level 50 bracket that we are very efficient at defense. However, so is the Imperial side - thus it normally ends in a tie. What I want to know is what decides the winner of a tie? And if so, why does it keep choosing Imperial?
  20. You must be a on a low pop server. HM finding on most of the higher pop servers is near instant
  21. What are the scheduled upgrades for the legacy system and when can we expect them to be patched?
  22. Primarily, yes. The class is slightly hard until you get used to it - but after you learn to chain shields and knockbacks in a way to keep you alive very well. PvP is a big challenge with Gunslinger though - you are virtually rooted in place when you attack, however we do get some buffs to this. 1. While in cover it is impossible for Marauders/Juggernauts to force leap onto you. (These are the easiest class for us to beat. Simply keep them at distance with knockbacks and stuns and you have an instant win. 2. Hunker down/entrench makes you immune to most stuns, knockbacks, and Cc's. This particular skill is quite useful against inquisitors. Since the buff lasts for around 15-20 seconds it will give you plenty of time to debuff and interrupt there channels before they can actually hurt you Check out snaps shartshooting guide on the Gunslinger forum for a bit more detailed PvP strats on all class. It will help a lot
  23. So far my guild group of 2 troopers, 1 Smuggler (me) and 1 sage have received nothing but Jedi knight gear from the Maelstrom Prison flashpoint. Perhaps Bioware you should autoassign loot for the classes that are actually IN the flashpoint I am beyond annoyed.
  24. Well if your talking about gear pieces, then you should know that the flashpoints drop something different each. Read the HM gear up sticky in this forum and you find out what flashpoints drop which pieces of gear. If your talking about receiving the same drop over and over again - then yes. There is very little variance. Ive ran Maelstrom 4 times so far and have not received a single smugger drop. Its all been Jedi Knight
