  1. Err, clearly you need to clean the trash out of your tree and grab the 30% chance double strike and spinning strike will grant a 100% crit on project out of the kinetic skill tree. Plus you should start stacking high endurance mod and amorings then fill enhancements with surge and crit. With my build I consistently hit 4k-4.5k with project in PvP and my spinning strike crits for 4k constantly. If you don't call that burst then I don't know what is
  2. You obviously are living in quite the fantasy world if you can actually say that with a straight face. While I have nothing against clickers (and I find it extremely stupid that they would bench you because you are one) a good key binder can and will always be more efficient then a good clicker. Both are viable, but the key binder is surely the more responsive one. A small example is me 2 years ago in Lotro. It was my first true Mmo and I naturally started out with clicking. I never had any issues and I was fairly decent at my play style. After having some keybinding talks with my gamer buddy who's done Mmos for 8 years I decided to give it a shot with this game. At the beginning it was slightly difficult - however I eventually caught on - but wow! I was able to increase my attentiveness toward unexpected situations significantly. Am I saying you need to keybind? Of course not. I do highly suggest you try to commit to learning it, you'll be surprised.
  3. Hmm, thank you. That will probably help with PvP greatly! I'm sorry if I didn't clarify though, I'm looking for the main secondary stat to stack in PVE:o
  4. Hey guys, I've been leveling a Consular Shadow tank for guild purposes and I'm looking for some advice on what the most beneficial tank stat is for this class? Seeing that kinetic ward increases shield chance by 15% I naturally thought that shield and absorb would be the main secondary to stack - however I read a thread on tank builds and it mentioned that shield rating can be pushed off the scales completely if the enemy crit rating is high enough. It also stated that force and tech attacks can go completely through shield! Now im not to worried about the Latter as it is mostly only a problem in pvp, but the former has me a bit worried... If force and tech attacks can go straight through my shield rating then wouldn't any time I fight a Sith/tech user I'd end up being destroyed due to half my defenses being gone? You can see my concern. If anyone can clear this up for me and or suggest the proper stat for me to be stacking then I'd send you cookies and flowers plus watch you as you sleep loyally for the rest of your days (most likely not) Thank you!
  5. Thank you. Finally someone who understands how I feel As a reply to the OP, wiping can be either no ones fault and or everyone fault. If the group is good, then you should be able to compensate for someone's mistakes. Simply blaming it on one person is near idiotic.
  6. Check out this Guide for PvP. It gives strategies to beating each and every class. You will notice that a key to defeating melee classes is making yourself as obnoxious to fight as possible. Thus frequent Stuns/Knockbacks will teach them to leave you alone. Good luck http://www.swtor.com/community/showthread.php?t=219738
  7. This^ A gunslingers life comes from Crit and Surge - if you don't have these then you will be on the bottom of the damage pole.
  8. Sorcs are a very hard PvP class to beat. But it is quite possible. With a Sorc/Gunslinger battle, whoever attacks first is normally the winner. If you are the attacked then make sure to sit on top of the sorc and use your stuns as interrupt instead of waiting for distraction to recharge. Getting those first 3 channels interrupted is CRITICAL to a win.
  9. I have never, at any time, seen a class break 600k damage, so what they are talking about is VERY rare and or none existent. However, I normally am 350k damage in all my warzones with my fully SS speced Gunslinger with a few points in sab. Second only to the 425k Sorc.
  10. So far my best is 8 medals total. 1K defender points 3k defender points, 1 solo kill, 75k damage, 300k damage, 2.5k single hit, 5k single hit, 25 total kills. Actually not so. I get to 300k about 75% of the warzones I do. Once you hit 50 and are fully geared it becomes very easy. 5k crit is difficult since the surge nerf, but its quite possible to achieve with a crit/surg relic and a 500+ rakata surge adrenal. Ive totaled 5.2k before if you count offhand damage.
  11. Having played a Smuggler, no class can compare. Sadly, it being my main means that every class is now boring and bland compared to it. Consular story = "Oh no! Master why are you dying?!?! I wills save you!! *Figures out how to save master* Yay she is saved! Wait? Oh noes! Other masters are sick to, I must go and sacrifice all my strength to save them. (All of act 1) (Act 2) -I have only played half way through this part so I can only comment on what Ive seen. - "Cry baby senators threatening to withdraw from the Republic. You are sent to be there lackey and fix every little problem they have. While it's not horrible, Its no where close to the Smuggler story. I still enjoy it - but Im not aching to play with this class like I did with my Smuggler
  12. EDIT: Will be running further tests to confirm.
  13. Smuggler Gunslinger/IA Sniper is my favorite DPS class The skill leveled required to maximize your rotation is deliciously complicated - plus the raw DPS is enticing. So far this class has my heart. Ive re rolled two alts and nothing can come close to the fun Ive had with my Gunslinger - everything seems to easy. Shadow rotation - Spam 6 attacks while you buffer everything with a free one to keep from running out of force. Sage - same thing except you don't run out of force. Now compared to my Gunslinger where I actually have to use more then 14 skills to take out a single mob? -Sigh- Dear Gunslinger, you have ruined me
  14. Not sure what your talking about, I have a guildmate who has a bind on pickup schematic for the purple crystal on the rep side
  15. Thank you - I am then fully allowed to use a toggle option in game and im completely accepted for doing so. In reality, the thought of flirting with another male would never come to pass in my mind - if it does for you, then you have my support. But it does not for me, thus, I wish to not have the potential thought come up in my new favorite game. These options, are afterall, potential thoughts that your toon is "thinking."
  16. Clearly you missed my main point - You are expecting toleration and acceptance - yet many of you sport the least amount of toleration I have seen on this thread. Allow me to outline a specific topic in your reply. If I want to PvP, I can turn the toggle option on. If I don't want to then I can turn it off. Saying for me to simply not click the option means that your saying I should simply not attack other players when im flagged. However the other players will still be able to attack me.
  17. First, I would like to say I do support a toggle option to Same Gender storylines. This is for the simple reason that (and this was stated earlier) it provides more Immersion for those of us who are not in the LGBC. Now, after reading several pages into this thread I have noticed a prominent and recurring theme surface. It seems to be that LGBC and its many supporters are pushing for there lifestyle to be accepted and tolerated at all extremes. Alright, I understand this and I am fine with it. However what I find truly repulsive is that certain members of this same community WILL NOT tolerate a simple function that some of us would like to help reflect OUR lifestyles. In essence, these said members are doing the exact same thing they so radically oppose - Forcing a/there lifestyle upon us because they find our actions offensive. My reply to this attitude is that if you wish to be respected and tolerated then you must treat others with the same respect and toleration you expect from them. I understand that everyone is entitled to there own opinions and state of mine - so to emphasize that fact. EVERYONE is entitled to there own opinion and state of mind. There is no disgrace being put forward toward anyone if a toggle option is released. It simply means that those who use it are playing the game they like. So to finalize this, we will play the game the way we wish to play it, and you are completely free to play the game you wish to play it. (To all the LGBC players who support a toggle option) You guys rock. Thank you
  18. Completely agree. The space combat in that game was very intensive. I think with Biowares current build of space combat, simply turning it from a linear path, to more of an open sandbox in warzones wouldn't be much of a problem. Ive posted this in another thread - but allowing your Guild capitol ship to be the main cruiser you launch from (in premades) would be extremely fun.
  19. What would make this better? If Guild capital ships came around allow Guild Premades to have THERE capital ship in the warzone. This would allow a whole new level of immersion knowing that your fighting inside your own Guilds battle cruiser.
  20. Oh now... How you will we survive, we can't play for 6 hours
  21. Mhm, sure. And I suppose strawberry short cake was there to serve flat cakes and tell everyone how good a job they did?
  22. Gunsliner/Sniper are a very strat intensive nuke DPS class. I find myself using nearly every ability I have in boss fights (Thats around 30) My norma rotation actually consists of about 10 different attacks in itself and Im constantly having to rework it depending on the situation (How many adds, how much Hp etc.) Sentinel/Marauder are fairly the same, however they are an extremely difficult class to be effective at - plus there melee requirements makes them fairly gimped for many boss fights. Still I have not played one so I can not give you personal experience, this is just observation Hope this helps
  23. When you are firing you do lose your cover defense. It's well known that we need a defense buff, currently were just to "squishy." Who knows, hopefully our day will come
  24. Same issues we had minus the holes in the ground and no loot. Had two bosses stuck in 16 man during an 8 mode and two bosses stuck in 8 man during a 16 mode
  25. Im at the point in these Flashpoints that Im actually proud if my level 50 has good enough gear to withstand the first 20 seconds of an enrage. But in all seriousness, your right and wrong. Enrage times ARE needed for Hardmodes to actually keep them "slightly" hard. Without them (as stated earlier) a Tank and DPS could easily two man them with decently geared healing companions. However, enrage timers shouldn't be a a fallback to sloppy mechanics. FE is the perfect example of a good Hardmode. The final boss has some very good mechanics to boot with the enrage timer, thus it makes it a great challenge for many players. Now Bioware just needs to incorporate more mechanics and less enrage timers - then we'll have the perfect game
