Plain and simple NO will answer the OP's question.
SWTOR is doing just fine at the moment with the release of f2p and Cartel Coins/Shop, i actually think that this game will expand and improve at a faster pace now.
-
1 - SWTOR
2 - WoW
3 - TSW
4 - Rift
5 - GW2
-
The system is working just fine and it prioritizes subs during login as intended.
On the other hand the OP is clearly a douchebag.
-
Well smugglers are so hot every lady wants ride in their ship
Pretty much this.
-
the young blonde one of course
The other version would be more fun and original honestly..
-
Depending on the price point of course I would agree. If they try and get a 50 dollar premium for it, I'd probably find it ridiculous. However if it's a 10-20 dollar thing..no big deal.
I want the lights to stay on in SWTOR. I enjoy the game. If they dont make money to justify running it, it goes away..thats the bottom line.
I like the game as well, hell i just re subbed after a break and i partially agree with you.
If the cost of Makeb was, lets say 1000 cartel coins for subscribers which is the amount we get for 2 months of subscription or around those 10$ you mentioned in coins i would be fine with it, anything above that for a sub player i find to be too much.
If that was a full on expansion with a couple of planets, chapter IV of the story for classes and what not i would be willing to pay the premium price you mentioned, but if they try to rip us off for a single planet that wouldn't be fair indeed, no no.
-
Even IF Makeb is unlocked via the cartel store (and there is no proof of this, only doom and gloom predictions from those with no evidence one way or the other) as a subscriber you can use your free coins to unlock it without paying anything more than your usual subscription....
I don't see the problem here
Driz
I agree with you there, i wouldn't have a problem if i could purchase Makeb from the free coins i get as a subscriber, however i would have a problem if the cost of that content would be around the amount of , lets say, 3 or 4 months of free cartel coins, it would piss me off immensely.
-
Subscribers shouldn't pay for Makeb, period.
Makeb is not an expansion , it's a mere one planet so trying to charge that to people who are regular subscribers would seem a bit like ripoff.
-
7970 without a doubt.

I agree with the OP.
It pissed me off when i saw i had to change the names of two of mine characters on ToFN.
-
Very nice, i just re subbed after a little break and immediately i find good news.
-
The patch is looking excellent indeed, looking forward to it.
-
Which would be completely pointless since everyone would just look up the solutions on the internet or complain that they are too hard, no matter how trivial they are. Besides, the puzzle boss in EV was such a huge hit... not.
Again, facebook games that way ----->
This.

$15 a month is nothing.
It's worth every penny.
Agreed.
-
Its way below the standard of all the new F2Ps coming out so I understand her thinking.
+10 Troll points to you sir.
There currently isn't a single f2p game that can come even close to SWTOR.
-
+1
SWTOR is an excellent game indeed in my opinion.
-
Hey Georg, throw us a post or two here, share some thoughts, you have been absent for too long apparently.
-
Of course i am continuing my subscription, i am enjoying playing this game.
Even though i won't have a lot of time to play in the next few weeks i will definitely stay on board.
-
No.
Never f2p.
SWTOR is vastly superior to any f2p game on the market currently and is a lot better than most subscription based MMO's.
It should remain as is and continue improving and growing.

Defrag your computer > where you have the game installed.
Just one small patch from this game and my harddrive gets really fragmented.
Keeping it defraged speeds up loading for me.
This can always help, i have to say that your observation on fragmentation after patching is correct.
-
And your basis for calling it a flat out lie is a single machine?
*claps*
I'm happy that you have a short loading time. I really am. But others in this thread have had mixed results, so it's not just my system. I have BETWEEN 5 and 10 minutes on initial load (First log in to a character), and others in the thread are having just as bad. I'm trying to figure out what's wrong with our configuration so I can fix my computer and maybe get help for the others in this thread having trouble. Calling us liars helps no one.
Thank you.
Try to speed up your PC via some regular maintenance first, my guess is that your registry is probably a mess, i recommend Windows 7 manager for that because i haven't seen a program with a better registry cleaner yet and i have tried almost all of them, he will find a huge number of errors that other similar programs won't even detect.
Also even though this may sound weird because it shouldn't be in any way related to the game functionality, you should clear your complete temporary internet and windows files, cache etc.I know a few people that actually got better performance with SWTOR once they did that which again, sounds weird but you have nothing to lose by trying.

Gee you add alot to the discussion.. you must be AAA grad from one of the big ones with that kinda of intellectual response.. are you able to form whole sentences yet...
To what discussion?
Discussion about your 10 minutes loading time which in my humble opinion is a flat out out lie considering that my OLD Intel C2D E7200 @ 3.16ghz with 4GB RAM and Radeon 6850 takes less than a minute to bypass any loading screen.
If you really wanted to discuss this you should have made this topic in the customer support section where it belongs.

Never got that mail, my friends never got that mail and as far as i can see here other people didn't get that mail as well.
This thread about some bogus mail needs to be locked.
