  1. The funny thing is that comparisons to the movies are linked all the time. People say "but it's not always about the movies". And to show the yellowband is present, people also post screenshots. This is all unnecessary, because it's all on BioWares own website! As you can see, the character on top has the old lightsaber from beta, the one we all want, that looks just like the movies! But if you scroll down there's a screenshot with the putrid yellow band RIGHT THERE ON BIOWARE'S OWN PAGE.
  2. So sundering throw isn't worth it for the faster plasma brand?
  3. Isn't plasma brand and all the DoTs effected by insight though? Not to mention force push and force stasis
  4. Yeah but you HAVE to take stagger or accuracy to get up the tree, otherwise I would get insight. So the choice is either 2/3 accuracy or 2/2 stagger, and then 3 points left over for 3/3 accuracy, 2/2 sundering throw. narrowed focus, 2/2 momentum or 3/3 insight or any combination of those
  5. It seems nice for occasional pvp, but in pve mobs generally never run away anyway though so thats why I am unsure. How useful is Narrowed Focus?
  6. Decided to try out a Vigilance dps build: http://swtor.askmrrobot.com/skills/guardian#20-7kddi28e2f-22 Should I put them in Momentum + (Narrowed Focus or Sundering Throw) or should I change Stagger to Accuracy and get Momentum, or should I put them all in Insight or what? Having a hard time deciding what do do with these three points and whether to put two points in either stagger or Accuracy
  7. I would take one less point in swift slash and get the second point of master strike
  8. Pretty sure you can theory craft gear and specs and stuff here
  9. I can't argue against the hybrid without a specific build in mind. Too often people try and throw out all kinds of skills that you can't possibly fit in one build, so I'm going to need you to post one if you are going to argue for it
  10. Please repost the correct link Also, if going that route, I kind of like this build: http://swtor.askmrrobot.com/skills/guardian#12-21di28e2f-1d0ek
  11. I never said don't utilize taunt, I just said don't crutch yourself by relying on it so much. That just seems so boring. If you lose threat, taunt, if you have aggro, then whats the point? And besides, YOU are the one who said you would just back away from the fight and do nothing but taunt and build focus for focused defense. If you aren't spending focus so you can dump with focused defense then you aren't doing enough damage. This is all based on what YOU described as your method of tanking. Also, I don't care if people misspell things because English isn't their first language, but I just find it odd when the misspellings are inconsistent. Either way a minor issue Focused Defense is a TERRIBLE tanking skill. Can you use it and taunt? yes. Is it worth all the effort to make it work? No
  12. Don't fool yourself, "hybrid builds" are just as cookie cutter. I see the same build over and over and hear it called "original". You try to be good at everything but just end up good at nothing. The build you posted will suffer from rage starvation and comparatively low aoe damage. Furthermore, the utility is just pitiful. There is nothing wrong with the 31/8/2 build, and I have tried both. And the best part is it is only going to get better before it gets worse, as BioWare sets out to destroy so called "hybrid" builds. To the OP: there are two debated upon builds. The hybrid and the deep Immortal. I would recommend trying both and sticking with your preferred playstyle.
