  1. Warzones, Flashpoints, Operations for one-time unlock please ! Just pay a flat sum a-la Section X (and future content I'm sure) and have access to it for ever.
  2. No, I'm saying consider offering the option to purchase any content you're interested in experiencing, same as Section-X, with a time delay for new content for preferred players and even greater for free players.
  3. While I am preparing a thorough post with my feedback about free-to-play, my main gripe is with the way flashpoints, operations and warzones are handled for non-subscribers. I can understand that those would be the main reason someone would subscribe after playing the game all the way through to 50 with a character, but this is an alternate way to handle it : Allow players access to all normal Tier 1 flashpoints. Allow players to purchase access to normal Tier 2 flashpoints. Allow players to purchase access to Heroic Tier 1,2 Flashpoints Allow players access to all Tier 1 operations. Allow players to purchase access to Tier 2 operations. Allow players to purchase access to Tier 1 Heroic Operations. Allow players to purchase access to Tier 1 Nightmare Operations. Allow players to purchase a single Warzone for unlimited play. Bundles could be made to include [Heroic Flashpoints] [All Normal Operations] [All Heroic Tier 1 Operations] [3 Warzone Pack] etc. This would allow free players to experience the storyline of Operations and Flashpoints, while giving the option of paying a one-time fee to unlock content (like Section X for example). The weekly pass for operations and warzones never made much sense to me (in my opinion, a monthly pass would be a more logical choice). It comes to reason that subscribers will always have the edge over preferred/free players, an option would be to allow purchasing newer Tiers of content after a certain amount of time (2 weeks/1 month) for preferred accounts. From an economical viewpoint, it makes sense that people who want to really put time in the game will subscribe, as it will be cheaper than buying all the content separately, but people who don't play fixed amounts of time (I may log in 5 times one month, and log in every day another), just straight-out buying the content I want to play will make me a happy customer. A good idea would be after a certain amount of time to open the oldest content Tier (i.e. we are at Tier 4-5, open Tier 1) to free accounts. Most players (especially subscribers) will have little to no reason to run those instances anyway. This system is modeled strongly after Age of Conan's shop system, which gave the option of either a subscription and full access, or limited access but the option to buy literally all the game's features (including heroics, raids, expansions etc.). I believe this will echo strongly to the people who are unwilling to pay a subscription because they play sporadically, but still want access to everything.
  4. On Hard Mode, the Melee *may* have to stop at 71-72% until the rock hits Toth and dispels his enrage.
  5. My guild's problem on 16-man HM was that when we downed Toth and had about 3% on Zorn, he one-shotted the entire raid. No enrage, no nothing. He literally wiped EVERYTHING with 24k HP left. I know the soft enrage, but this happened not 15" after Toth died. Is this supposed to be happening ?
  6. I really like the design ! It's great-looking and easy to navigate ! My only observation is that reading the forums feels kind of weird now. I know it's a personal preference but could we get the option to add borders again, especially between and to the sides of posts ? Further down the line could we also perhaps get a Dark/Light theme ? I'm excited reading about Guild support & Character profiles, and I hope it's expanded into a sort of "that-other-game"-armory system, so that players can easily see i.e. where a schematic or armor drops from and its chances. But mainly so that 3rd party websites (like the one my guild uses) can just dynamically parse Guild rosters and rank and update the roster on our page. Great update, keep up the good work !
  7. Greetings, I'm looking for good 'tier sets' for my jugg to look cool post 1.2. First off, I have to say I love capes, and while I like the Exalted Legacy set, it doesn't really work for me. The Marauder Exalted chest though is a thing of beauty. I'm a Synthweaver, but I can only craft non-cape armors, and frankly UT seems to be bringing up the same schematics over and over again (polyplast crap). I saw a Jugg strolling around in a dungeon set (Foundry), but that was orange gear w/o augments. Where can I find good-looking orange gear or schematics for it ? Also, if I R/E orange gear, can I learn its schematic ?
  8. Just my 2 cents on this, but our tank also didn't have any problems with incinerate armor on 16-man Story. We'll adapt to tank swapping this week when we attempt HM.
  9. First off, let me start by saying how AWESOME patch 1.2 is. Great job, and I hope all content patches match it in quality * quantity. On to business : Friends functionality bugged If I try to add someone who is offline I get the message that "person does not exist". If I recall correctly this was to be fixed on this update. Replying to Whisper Hitting "R" (the reply keybind) does not update to the name of the person I'm replying to at that moment. If for example I reply to multiple people, the name on the chat frame stays on the original target of my replies, but if I press enter, the message gets sent to the correct recipient. Smart camera on taxis If I try to turn the camera by holding down the left-click, it resets to my back once I depress the button. If I turn it using right-click, it stays put but occasionally the engine trail on some taxis/speeders/fliers will bug (best example is from Imp.Fleet -> Ziost Shadow). I had some more in mind but I forgot them, I'll edit the post once I find them again. I don't really mind about the taxi issue, but the friends list is worth mentioning.
  10. Assuming Pre-Season doesn't hit with 1.3 in a couple of months, I'm excited enough from all the PvE content, alt-leveling and crafting I'll be doing to worry about it. Thankfully the new WZ will go up, and will make things more interesting. Not much of a fan for PvP, and frankly, even though I do not have long queues to play on my server (Frostclaw EU) so I am not concerned about cross-server queuing, not being able to choose which WZ I want to participate in is kind of a big bummer for me. So pre-season in a couple of weeks hopefully and a strong start for Season 1 on 1.3, sounds good enough to me.
  11. Will we be getting a Ready Check function in the foreseeable future ?
  12. I would also like to welcome and help out any and all new players. Name : Husker Faction : Empire Server : Frostclaw EU (PVE)
  13. Think the problem will largely go away with 1.2 and the target of target functions. A tank will then be able to know precisely when the boss targets someone else, and just re-taunt it. Though I would like a threat meter, not for myself, but so the DPS can know exactly when and how much to throttle back their DPS so that the tank doesn't lose aggro when only using his rotation. More information makes me feel safer and more in control, and that is a good thing. Tanking wouldn't change for me, since I don't have any problems holding threat, but extra info is always welcome.
  14. Think of Operations as twice as large as flashpoints. While they are only 1,5 the length (5 bosses instead of 3+ a bonus one), they take a bit more time in organizing. A well-coordinated group can (and has) cleared KP in less time than it took a PUG to clear FE HM. With a relatively smooth run and a group that hits the ground running (doesn't take 15 minutes to set up and get inside the instance), raids can be cleared in under 2 hours. It's very doable, very fun, and very lucrative (easiest way to gear). The only frustration I have with normal modes is that you can't distribute loot, it's auto distributed. Other than that, my guild does normal modes every week to gear new people up, and to hone our tactics. Do give it one more shot As a tank, I find it to be a breeze.
  15. Whoa, you should write drama ! If you are in a guild/group and you have a raid leader screaming at you for not pulling 0.02% DPS, you are free to walk away from that noise. And since you're so sure that no one will be using meters to help others, I dare you to come see how we do things in my guild.
  16. Not a question, but unfortunately I cannot read what is on the screen. I do hope when the videos become available, it'll be possible to have them in crisp HD, because I don't want to lose details !!
  17. OH MY GOD ! Such a great move guys ! Will help hook my friends (and brother) up !
  18. No, guild banks will be available to ALL guilds. Unlocking all 7 tabs though will cost a lot. He meant that only rich guilds (at the moment) will have the capability of unlocking the last few tabs, because they'll cost so much (kinda like your ship's cargo hold tabs). No reason to fret my friend
  19. 1.2 video so epic !! TAKE MY MONEY BIOWARE !! TAKE ALL OF IT !!!!
  20. Perhaps we should wait until the system is implemented, even in PTS form, before condemning it ?
  21. Hell yeah I'll keep playing ! Having waaaay too much fun with this game I don't care that my guild have cleared most content (just some nightmares missing, but we're getting there), or that I don't PvP so there's not much left for me, when I do play I am having a blast, and that's all that matters. Plus, every patch has been a money shot so far in my opinion, always adding something I looked forward to (well maybe except 1.1.3 which was nothing hot). I like it now, I'll keep liking and maybe love it later
  22. Will there be an armory-like feature (online database) in the website ? It would be very handy for guilds and their webpages.
  23. I'm very interested in new information about the combat log. When will it arrive, and what will it provide, since they've mentioned that it will allow players to measure their performance, is what I want to know. Too much to hope for 1.2 ?
  24. Perhaps you're using the wrong companion. Bosses are meant to be soloed, but for most of the game that means with a companion (same reason why heroic+2, need 2 people + their companions to handle). If you're playing a tank-specced character, try using a healer companion (with his own attack skills disabled so he focuses on healing you). If you're a DPS character or healer, and the boss is hitting you hard, try using a tank companion and blowing your cooldowns to DPS him down before he kills your companion. Likewise, if you're a healer/DPS and the mob/boss is not hitting you very hard, bring out a DPS companion (if healer) or a healer companion (if you're DPS) to keep you up and kill the mob. Just try combinations out until you get it right Trust me, they ARE soloable by 1 person. As a Sith warrior Tank, I used Quinn (healer) throughout my story (as soon as I got him), and had minimal problems.
