  1. That is up for debate. I currently have 2 points in Defensive Roll (none in Narrowed Hatred) because we can take a decent amount of AE damage in Operations. Here is my spec, which I lazily use for both PVP (valor 77, full BM gear, yada yada) and PVE (10/10, full Rakata, blah blah blah): http://www.torhead.com/skill-calc#100bIbRrRzsGzZhMMZh.1
  2. Phantom is useful, but like almost anything else in the 3 Marauder trees, it all depends on how you play and/or what your focus is when PVPing. With the change in 1.2, I wouldn't suggest putting any more than 1 point in it, however. There's no point in getting used to the 100% reduction if it is going to be gone in a few weeks anyway. There are Marauders who will sit here and argue with you for hours on end and try to tell you why Ferocity is the most important talent in the history of any MMORPG and others (like me) who will just laugh and say "it's cool, but it isn't necessary." I play my class as damage first and utility second, but others obviously don't play like this. I didn't make a Marauder to be able to run fast, I made a Marauder to be able to kill mobs/people. I look at some specs people post and listen to those people try to convince others how it is the best spec ever, then I just scratch my head when I see them taking things like Seeping Wound and leaving out things like Pulverize, or even Malice. Why would anyone waste 1 point in Narrowed Hatred? Marauders are not World of Warcraft Rogues, where you had to do everything under the sun to get near the hit cap. You shouldn't need to waste talent points to get to the cap. I think once 1.2 hits, and the number crunchers can analyze parses and figure out what the optimal setup is, you'll see more 'cookie-cutter' builds. But until then, just go with what works for you. And if NOT having Pulverize works for you, then take a moment or two to think of a situation where immediately refreshing Rupture could be beneficial.
  3. Just ignore the idiots who say they "always" get 4k hits and anyone who doesn't is doing something wrong. These are the same people saying they "always" do 400k + damage in every warzone (I guess they have never won - or lost - a 6-0 Huttball match in about 4 minutes).
  4. It's ok to be wrong. If your argument on using Seeping Wound is "saving time," you should probably rethink things. Or just listen to the people who have more experience than you, rather than trying the sarcastic approach. In a perfect world, everyone would have Seeping Wound and everything would be rainbows and unicorns. But in a world where you can only alot X amount of points, you need to figure out which give the most bang for the buck. And a VAST majority of the Marauders who are actually quality players (all of them, in fact) will all agree that Seeping Wound just isn't worth the points.
  5. Of course it has builds. Bad troll is bad.
  6. There is no ONE BUILD for Annihilation, so ultimately it depends on a) what you are using it for and b) what you prioritize. Here is the spec I use for PVP & PVE: http://www.torhead.com/skill-calc#100bIbRrRzsGzZhMMZh.1 The parts where most people differ on opinion are as follows: Points in Defensive Roll vs. Enraged Charge vs. Narrowed Hatred. I went with 2 points in Defensive Roll since I use the same spec for PVP and PVE. It may not be the most optimal thing to do, but it works for me. I don't need the extra accuracy associated with Narrowed Hatred, although when I can see logs, I may change my opinion. Points in Subjugation vs. Close Quarters vs. Phantom vs. Ferocity One could argue that any and all of these are useful, but I chose the reduced cooldown on my interrupt via Subjugation. Phantom was great, and CQ certainly was nice, but I think the biggest benefit overall is what I Subjugation offers. I still get the partial resists via 1/2 in Phantom, and it will be changing to that same setup when 1.2 hits, so I may as well get used to it. Points in Malice vs. Stagger vs. Ravager There is no reason to pick Stagger or Ravager over Malice, but some bad Marauders will try to convince you they are the better choice. Ignore them.
  7. What a waste of 7 paragraphs. You should probably play a different class.
  8. You can only post videos of you solo-queuing against a full group of War Heroes. Also, if you happen to get heals at any point in any match, your video is deemed pure garbage. You obviously did not get the memo that the trolls on these message boards received. PS: Nice video. I still want to get a group of 8 Marauders together for a game or 2 to see what kind of destruction we can do.
  9. If there are "a lot" of people who exclude it, where are they? The ones who exclude it are probably the same ones who think 1 point in Ravager is a good idea.
  10. You don't get the idea of "it picks a random winner if you tie?" This is changing soon, anyway, so you don't have to understand it.
  11. The real question should be: Why am I wasting a point in Ravager? ps: I'd say Pulverize is pretty mandatory.
  12. If you are going to be Rage spec'd, you need Quick Recovery. Plain and simple. Just take your 3 points out of Narrowed Hatred, put 2 in QR, and put the other point in Defensive Roll.
  13. This could also be due to who you play with or how you play. Saying you take the games more seriously because you "are too busy with objectives" to DPS is pretty silly. Not everyone plays the same.
  14. Please quit while you're behind. Oops.. too late.
  15. This will really sound corny but things really do turn around for the better once you hit level 40. Sith Warriors are very gear-dependent and when you hit 40, you can start getting the PVP gear that will be MILES better than anything you had before that and will last you until you're very close to level 50. My advice is to stick with it until you hit level 40, get a few pieces of PVP gear (which is awesome for PVE as well) and see how things change. I can't help you with the RP aspects. For the record, I personally dislike chat bubbles. As far as sitting, you could "RP" a background story where your character likes sitting on the ground. Then just hit X every time you want to sit and chat.
  16. Well there are some fights where you aren't on the boss 100% of the time (Gharj, for instance, when you have to go to a different island) but yea, for the most part, we spend virtually the entirety of every Boss encounter on said boss. Eternity Vault Droid - On the boss for the entire fight except for knockbacks. Some may run out in NM during his salvo. Ranged SLIGHT advantage. Gharj - On the boss the entire fight other than knockbacks or when running to new island. Some may run out when he does his Slam. Melee or Ranged DPS makes no difference. Pylon - On the easy adds & the bugs the entire fight. Melee or Ranged DPS makes no difference. Council - On your mob the entire fight. Melee or Ranged DPS makes no difference. Soa - On the boss the entire fight unless you get in a mind trap, have to kill a mind trap, get thrown into the air, or need to eat a lightning ball. Melee or Ranged DPS makes no difference. Karagga's Palace Bonethrasher - On the boss for the entire fight, unless killing red adds. Melee or Ranged DPS makes no difference. Sorno & Jarg - On the boss the entire fight, unless killing droids. Melee or Ranged DPS makes no difference. Foreman - On the boss the entire fight except when knocked back. Melee holds an advantage over ranged, who need to dodge boulders and AE adds. G4-B3 - On the boss the entire fight unless killing stun droids. Melee or Ranged DPS makes no difference. Karagga - On the boss the entire fight. Melee holds an advantage over ranged, who get sucked into gravity wells and need to kill adds.
  17. There's no other option, if you're just talking PVP (which you are).
  18. Get rid of the 2 points in Ravager and put them in Malice. As an Annihilation Marauder, you'll only use Ravage every now and then when everything else is on cooldown (and you'll usually cut it short). Keep in mind that although the tooltip says "Force Attacks," the crit bonus will work on all DoTs (Rupture). Since you're going to strictly stick to PVE (player vs. environment.. the Main Story, Heroics, Flashpoints you were referring to), you could also consider moving points from Narrowed Hatred to Defensive Roll (since you may get hit with lots of AEs). This depends on your gear, of course, but as you get better gear, it will be easier and easier to hit the melee cap without needing the talent. EDIT: er yea, pretty much what the guy above me said.
  19. Nice numbers but I'd prefer to see a video of an actual match rather than a few screenshots of the scoreboard. Anyone can do that when they have one or two good games. ps: yea yea, we lost, yea yea, I'm not a Rage spec Jugg
  20. The overall total Endurance is like a +35 increase going from Champion to Battlemaster.
  21. I was being facetious. The heals are great.
