Use orange trooper armor and change out the mods. You only have to buy one orange set and just upgrade as you go. Granted not 100% thrilled with the lunchbox but it beats the hooded robin hood look being sported by all the other Jedi. This works great while you level up.

I do not play a Sorcerer. Nerfs suck no matter who gets the stick,sorry to read the ol (Balance) stick is swinging your way. There looks like a LOT of really childish crud being flung here by apparently folks who died in pvp verse (overpowered Sorcerers). Wonder what the hate will be like when they die to underpowered(Balanced) Sorcers AFTER the patch? Bah! Hang in there guys! This road will circle right back around to you sooner or later!

Sorcerers come into there power early on and from the outside look overpowered early on. At mid-high levels from the outside looking in they seem a good class. Many I group with talk about the Power of the sorcerer early on as if it stayed that way at 50. I do not play a sorcerer but do group with one a lot and play with and against them at times.

So I am a new BH and just got my guy to 22nd level. I just picked up tracer missile and tried it out and.....WYH is my guy doing? I see him double over kinda and make a face like he is err having issues with blockage and then his jet-pack fires off a rocket. Granted I like the effect of tracer Missiles but come on...I can't run around crapping out DPS! You guys actually spam that? I did a run with my group and my wife actually stopped and was like..."What in the heck is wrong with your guy?" So guess I will have to look at a different spec because I'm NOT gonna be doing that all the time. I can't be the only one who has a issue with it,can I? Never heard one word about it in all the anti-Tracer spam that gets regurgitated on the boards but come on.... So...now I'm off to find a new spec. Unless there is a fix or its just my gear or a bug or something. Geez!

Right. So next expansion when there are two new class's that have no option but one that tanks and another that heals then those two class's should out heal and out tank everyone else? I guess if there is a dps class with only one tree they should out dps those pure dps class's that have the option to use more trees. Come on guy....if you wanted to dps and tank you should have rolled a class that did that. If you WANTED to not have to do that then Mara is perfect! That is the very reason I like my Mara! None will say" We cant find a tank,would you mind changing so we can run this?". THAT is worth another role in my book!

I have both AC's and frankly Sith isn't my main but the subject is one that comes up time and again even after the stated goals of the makers of the game. I think because the fact is the makers of the game have said one thing but done another. We will see what happens in April I guess.

FFXI is totally different type of game. If Sith Jug ONLY had a tanking tree I would 100% agree with you. But it doesn't! You can play a Jug that is 100% dps and not concerned with Tanking in the least! It was designed to be there way! If you want to play a huge one saber hulking brute who puts out the hurt then YOU ARE TOLD go Jug. By the way there are no trade offs! The Jug doesn't give up some dps so he is more survivable! He actually has less or the same as a Mara! Heavy armor hasn't meant jack in this game other than looks.Where is the cake as well as eating it? Gimmie some cake dang it! I think the entire (This class should be better at a role because it only has one role ) thinking is so wrong its silly. So if the next expansion brings two new class's with it. The Doctor(healer) and the Enforcer(Tank) they should be the best tank and healer in the game? How friggin lame would that be? DPS is no different. Everyone who decided to spend there time working,gearing and learning to maximize that role should stand on equal ground or as near to equal ground as the Divs can reach.

In my guild its standard thinking that Mara dps is far better than Jug Dps. To be honest this seems based on feelings and no hard evidence. Today in guild chat there erupted a argument once again on this much debated subject but this time with a twist. Our Dps Jug said fine,he was done arguing and would freely admit that indeed the Mara was out-damaging him by up to 15%. Then he asked if this meant that the Mara should be Nerfed to be more inline with the other dps AC or if the Jug was going to get a buff to put him on the same level? This caused the entire thing to suddenly take on a new level of debate and a lot of things were said I had never heard before. What do you guys think? If you take it for granted that indeed Mara Dps is greater than Jug Dps by 15% then what does that mean for the AC's? *Edited to change to Mara!

No matter what sort of Nerf it is,it was really bad form for the person to put it that way and VERY amateurish. Not bringing BH in line with other class's,not fixing some BH issues that will end up lowering certain specs but saying strait out Nerfing BH sounds like a ten year old is talking. You know someone with no clue what sort of damage their words can do. It was also rude to NOT talk to the people paying money to you about issues with what they are paying for but for them to hear about it third person. My only thought is that maybe the fault lies with the interviewer and stuff was left out.

Well,I'm SHOCKED at this recent development! After all my posting and arrangements my son(sputter) decided that the Jedi doesn't call to him after all! If that isn't bad enough the ungrateful bugger makes up a SITH! A foul no honer power-mad dark heated punk who then has the nerve to demand (Make with the slaves) to the rest of us! Has such a horror ever befallen a good little gamer group before? At this point he isn't gonna get a naga for his birthday..let his evilness click and arrow key turn all he wants! I think my wife has something to do with it as well. She keeps whispering to him when they think I'mnot listening.

Well Thanks! That settles it I will tell him in my opinion he should play a Vig Guard! I don't think he will ever want to tank but I guess leaving it open is a good thing. The boy has no inclination to pvp(much like me). When you suck at something its better to not have your face shoved in it every five seconds! When I pvp I'm only happy if I win and I so very very rarely win! Just don't have the knack for it. Happens when you get old! Well it did to me anyway! Thanks again everyone!

I am still a new player with not one level 40 even but not once in game have I ever seen anyone badmouth or not pick a Guardian DPS based on his class(I have seen a few of every class who just didn't have a clue how to play but that's different). Have you guys really seen this happen? I wonder if the game gets a lot more wowish with the kneeejerk attitudes on (sub optimal builds) and such when you get to hard-modes ect.. One of the great things about SWTOR at least so far was that all that sneering judgment towards people (like most of the family I play with) is missing. Anyone speced DPS should be about 5% from any other dps spec class of there skill level right? Skill matters a lot but I thought the whole all roles will be equal thing was a major nice overhaul of the old way of doing things.

Thanks for the many posts and I read them all. A lot of food for thought. What I need to know is out of the 6 specs possible for a Jedi Knight are any of them better suited for a clicker over another? Mostly I have it narrowed down to :Vigilance or Focus as a guardian, Focus or combat as a Sent. I had always heard that the Sent-Focus spec was far easier to play but not the most possible damage. If that is true then that is the spec we are looking for! However that is just hearsay at least for me as I only ever tried watchman spec and not to any high level. The boy has asked me to look into this stuff or indeed I would just let him play whatever he wants. I am also going to buy him a Raver mouse for his birthday but that isn't for many months!
