  1. Nothing special. You seem like a 12 year old, not a 21 year old, after seeing all of the trash talk you try to do in /say.
  2. Can you afford the 0 credit cost to respec? If so, try it and see. How do we know what you will or will not like?
  3. I'd say they are wrong. Rage spec CAN do more damage, but then again, so can Carnage. It all depends on the situation. As far as being useful, these days I'd put Rage 3rd on the list as the "best" PVP tree. Annihilation is still #1, in my opinion, due to the survivability and overall DPS. I'd put Carnage at #2 simply because of Unbound. Rage still remains a 1-trick pony. It's fun to Smash folks and do big damage on multiple people, but that is what you HAVE to do for the spec to be useful. Try defending/taking a node one-on-one as Rage vs. Annihilation and you'll find that the single-target damage and baby heals in Annihilation are tough to ignore.
  4. As mentioned, what works for some may not work for others. I still use the 1-5 keys for my main attacks (Annihilation spec, by the way), and I combine them with my Naga. Here is how I have mine set up (going on memory). I like having both of my throws above and below each other (3 & 6) 1 - Force Leap........ [shift] + 1 - Medpac 2 - Force Choke..... [shift] + 2 - SMASH 3 - Vicious Throw... [shift] + 3 - Force Scream 4 - Ravage.............. [shift] + 4 = Dispatch (stun break) 5 - Force Camo 6 - Deadly Throw 7 - Disruption (interrupt) 8 - Cloak of Pain 9 - Relic (buff) 10 - Disruption (interrupt).. [shift] + 10 - Intimidating Roar 11 - Intimidating Roar 12 - Relic (buff) Click down on Wheel - Berserk Shift/Click down on Wheel - Mount/Dismount
  5. I will be curious to see if your opinion changes on one of those two Companions as you get closer to level 50 (as far as the class story goes). If we are talking which do I prefer to use (which is different than which is my 'favorite companion'), I'd say Quinn, since his heals make pretty much everything outside of the +4 Black Hole daily quest trivial.
  6. 1700 DPS on every single boss fight is pretty impressive.
  7. No. They can only be used on non-elite incapacitated mobs. They are strictly used (or not used) for questing.
  8. You'll get a few differing replies here. The bottom line is any of the above choices are not 'wrong'. It all comes down to you. I think Ravager is the best choice among the 3 you are deciding between. Quite simply, Ravage is now one of our strongest attacks. Buffing it and lowering the cooldown is a good idea. Your accuracy is plenty high, in my opinion. What concerns me is why you'd worry about crit at all. You should be going for power and surge, with crit as an afterthought. With Berserk up, your DOTs will crit 100% of the time. Don't worry about crit. Go for power now.
  9. You are assuming everyone plays in optimal groups with the right mix of healers, DPS, and tanks, in every single match. Protip: every game is different
  10. This sounds awesome. Since it happens once every few Warzones for you, can you please make a video of it? I want to one-shot people as well!
  11. You cannot buy War Hero pieces without first having the Battlemaster pieces. You can, however, get the crafted versions, but then you're just wearing re-skinned Battlemaster gear, since you won't have the War Hero mods to put into the crafted gear (without first purchasing the War Hero items from the vendor).
  12. Keep in mind, the set bonuses will not transfer with the BM mods. That only works on the War Hero stuff.
  13. If you do a little digging, you'll see 100 different people telling you that without a doubt XXX is the best spec to use in PVP and anyone who says differently is a n00b moron who needs l2p. The truth is, there are a few variations of what is the 'best', as far as I can tell. However, most people will agree that this is the best starting point: http://www.torhead.com/skill-calc#100bIrRMRMfsZhM.1 That will leave 5 points for you to play with as you see fit. The debate begins when people talk about which talents are more useful out of Ravager, Malice, Narrowed Hatred, Defensive Roll, and Phantom. Ravager Pros: Ravage has been buffed and is now one of our hardest-hitting abilities. Lowering the cooldown and increasing the damage makes it that much more powerful Cons: While it can't be "interrupted," it is still easy to move away from it. It's still channeled, and you still cannot move while performing it. Malice Pros: +6% crit chance is nothing to sneeze at. This does include all DOTs Cons: Annihilation Marauders should have Berserk up the majority of the time, so you're not getting that much bang for your buck. Narrowed Hatred Pros: Everyone hates to miss. By spending the points here, you are able to re-mod your gear with more power/surge. Cons: Most people will be at or very near the hit cap without needing to waste 3 points Defensive Roll Pros: It's frigging THIRTY PERCENT reduction to all AE damage. Cons: Let healers worry about keeping you alive, you are there to do as much damage as possible, and your points should be used to do just that. Phantom Pros: It's a great way to get away from a fight. The speed boost can be handy. Cons: It's spending points to run away from fighting. Darth Vader would not approve. I'm sure someone will chime in with more useful information shortly, but in the end, you need to decide what will benefit YOU the most.
  14. I think you may want to grow thicker skin, if you are that heartbroken over my post. You posted your opinion, I responded with mine. The Predation boost is the only point you made as to why Carnage was worth trying. I didn't make it up, you said it. In fact, you listed two negative aspects of the tree (lacking survivability and being CC'd), compared to your one positive (Predation). That is not to say that Carnage doesn't have a place in PVP, as it certainly does and I love it when I am grouped with a Carnage Marauder. But if you are going to say "it's actually better" (hardly a colloquialism, by the way), then give some other reasons to support your point. You can run faster in Huttball. You can run faster in Alderaan. You can run faster in Voidstar. You can run faster in Novare Coast. Therefore , Carnage is the best spec for warzones and team play. That is what you said, to me.
  15. First Pointer: Gain levels. You are missing some key talents still, due to your level.
  16. Thank you for your input. ps: The insane boost to Predation (which is the only point you bring up) does not make Carnage "better" than Annihilation or Rage for Warzones. It all depends on play style and/or who you play with.
  17. Your Annihilation Marauder has 4 interrupts, not 2.
  18. I never said you were wrong and I was right, I just said that in my experiences, the expertise as it is now seemed to be worth more than wearing Rakata, as we did pre-1.2. I wanted you to show me some numbers where you could say "you are wrong, take a look at these numbers with and without Rakata gear." You didn't say that, so it seems your findings are based on anecdotal evidence, similar to mine. In a perfect world, we'd all have access to unlimited supplies of power/surge mods. Since that isn't the case for everyone, if you just go with the base stats on the gear, I think you are better off wearing all BM gear vs. mixing a combination of Battlemaster and Rakata gear, thanks to the change in Expertise.
  19. You don't need to drop your crafting skill for the crafted gear, it is BoE. Just check in the GTN for it. The general idea for the War Hero gear is to get the crafted versions of the gear that have augment slots. Then when you buy the set pieces with Ranked Warzone Commendations, you pull the mods out of those pieces and put them in the crafted pieces with the augment slots. The set bonuses will carry over when you do this. Hypothetically, you could craft any piece that crits, and put the mods into it, it doesn't HAVE to be the War Hero set. You will see people running around in full crafted War Hero gear, but if you inspect them, most of them will be using their Battlemaster mods in that gear. If they do this, the set bonuses do NOT carry over. The set bonus will only carry over of you pull out the lvl 61 mods from the actual War Hero gear.
  20. I am basing my opinion on my experiences as a Valor rank 83 Marauder. If you have some raw data that supports your theory, I'd be interested to see it. As it is now, it seems all talk. Pre-1.2, I replaced several of my BM mods with Champion mods due to the poor itemization. I'd wear my Rakata bracer/belt/boots along with my BM gear. However, as I said, with the change to the Expertise soft cap, I feel it is better to stack Expertise now. Perhaps I am wrong, but until I see the hard data to support one over the other, I'll stick with full BM & War Hero gear.
  21. It sounds like someone has never raided in SWTOR. It also sounds like someone has never made it beyond 3rd grade Language Arts class. The +4% extra critical CHANCE with those extra 2 points in Malice is nice, but it hardly the bread and butter of the spec. I'd say taking 2 points in Defensive Roll is just as useful, overall, than 2 extra points in Malice. As Annihilation, you should have Berserk up a vast majority of the time, which means you get more use out of Defensive Roll than you do out of Malice. 4% crit CHANCE increase some of the time, vs. 30% AE damage reduction all of the time is pretty comparable, and one is not necessarily better than the other. If you'd like to compare DPS logs from your spec vs. mine, I don't mind doing so. I seriously doubt you'll be "hundreds" of DPS ahead of me on any boss fight. Here is my PVE spec: http://www.torhead.com/skill-calc#100bIbRrorfsZhMMZR.1
  22. Where are you "posting hits" that are supposed to impress us? Pre-1.2, it was a good idea to wear a mix of Rakata and BM gear, but post-1.2, that strategy has pretty much gone by the wayside, thanks to upping the Expertise 'soft cap'.
