  1. C) People would couldn't be less interested in Wow/Rift/whatever other games people always bring up here. Just sayin.
  2. I like it. Solo flashpoints with multi companions sounds like fun. I don't see how any added content could be a bad thing.
  3. Options --> Preferences --> User Interface --> Quickbars gives you the ability to unlock the right, left, and bottom center quickbars, giving you 4 bars visible without scrolling. FWIW, may or may not suit your particular needs.
  4. -More Chapters for the classes -More Planets with their own stories -More “lateral story quest arcs” for current planets Agreed. I want more game, not more endgame. Additional kinds of leveling loosely related to story (in addition to combat and crafting) would be good, too. Racing, hunting/trophies/bounties, fishing, cantina games... something along those lines. A boot camp for people new to MMOs would be nice, too, where people can learn the basics of their group role (tank, damage, healer) with a bunch of NPCs if needed.
  5. You win the Prototype Obscure Reference Doohickey. I have not seen any multiboxers in TOR thus far. I've seen them in other games. Doesn't bother me in the least. Not a playstyle that appeals personally, though.
  6. THATS THE WAY IT WAS AND WE LOVED IT That's the way it was, and I chose not to play MMOs then.
  7. "It's time for the Life Day festival!" NOOOOOOOOOOOO!
  8. This is purely speculation, but I believe this game has attracted a good number of people new to MMOs, or with limited playing experience, because of the IP.
  9. This mainly an issue with classes that use tank companions. Please turn off the in-battle companion dialogue cursor/option. We should be able to click-target enemies through our companion once in battle. I can't believe anyone would wish to have a leisurely conversation with his/her tank companion while trying to target the enemy directly behind the companion.
  10. I group up for flashpoints and heroics. I usually run them with friends, but sometimes I PUG, too. Haven't had trouble finding a PUG for heroics on my server so far (caveat: playing more Empire than Republic). But I definitely like being able to run solo side quests at my own pace just to get my Sith on, too. I support the idea of an improved same-server LFG and porting to group. I can see where light server players and Republic rollers might have to revisit 4-person heroics several times to get a suitable group together at level.
  11. What I don't understand is the logic behind this progression: 1) board the ship from Planet A 2) take off from the planet 3) travel to a different area of the galaxy for a space mission 4) do the space mission 5) step out the back door directly onto Planet A Not that I think the process needs to take longer or use more cutscenes to explain travel. It just doesn't make any sense as is.
  12. I agree that the hats and helmets could be less ridiculous. But I do have to point out that awful helmets are cannon. http://images.wikia.com/starwars/images/2/2b/NAVYTRP.jpg http://images.wikia.com/starwars/images/0/0e/Deathstar_gunner.jpg
  13. I vote for alternating between adding more MMO features AND perpetuating the story/quests. Keep the most players interested that way.
  14. Subscribed. I'm having fun. No MMO burnout factor to deal with for me.
  15. I enjoy the voice acting and cutscenes in each quest. The OP does not speak for me.
  16. That ought to be offered on 5/4. I would buy one!
  17. No. I got the one I wanted, and I'd like to keep it! Okay to have options for people to change their legacy name if they don't like it, but don't take mine.
  18. I still believe the PvP and PvE servers should be separated with regards to some features, with targeted approaches, so that there are two fairly different playing environments to choose from. The people who inhabit the two kinds of servers have vastly different expectations and preferences (seamless attacks, heavy server population, quick grouping, raiding/ops, competition vs immersion, story, solo content, instancing, co-op etc).
  19. Calling him out as "Senator Palpatine" 15 minutes into the 1st film pretty much revealed (and wrecked) the entire 3-movie plot instantaneously for any Star Wars nerd (like me). Recognizing the actor/voice pretty much did that for me. Unavoidable, though.
  20. I think there needs to be two different games available. PvP servers allowing macros, add-ons, animation interrupt/faster attacks, dungeon finders, meters, etc. PvE servers without the above, and no PvP flagging in non-PvP areas. That way, people can really choose the environment and community they want to play in.
  21. http://help.ea.com/article/star-wars-the-old-republic-manual This is a downloadable PDF on EA's site. I found it from a previous post somewhere on the forum.
  22. I wonder if the majority of players might be content if add-ons and macros were added to or allowed in only certain servers (or just PvP servers), if that is feasible. Then players could choose to play in the environment they prefer. Just a thought.
