  1. It is far from impossible as I am 2 for 2 at the moment, but your point is still valid. It is odd that one of the hardest quests in the game is suddenly a minor daily quest on a simple event planet.
  2. I fully agree. An entire expansion around one shipyard...that's more of a planet arc type of thing. Compared to the other expansions it feels very small (in terms of story). Sure there was one big space battle, but we did not see much of that either. The first chapter of Kotet showed how war feels, with high stakes, big decisions and leadership. In terms of story, it was so, so much better. The worlds are really nice, they refer to a lot of other story parts which is great. But the overall story is WAY too small for an expansion imo. And yeah, if you allow people to be traitors...think things through. Right now, being a traitor hardly changes anything and has very little added value.
  3. Yes please! Or even better, give us a 'favorites' tab or somesuch and let us choose which companions are on the top of the list.
  4. I do not know much about all this yet but I am unsure whether you are right. For instance the difference between gold and purple augments is negligible, yet it keeps people busy. That is pretty much what endgame is, keep people busy while giving them a feeling of doing something meaningful. Always has been. I bet less than 10% of the players even know about rotations, let alone use them. Casuals own this game else it would not be this easy. So new effects and abilities could be a nice addition if min/maxing isn't what you are looking for in a game anyway.
  5. Yes the Juggernaut does have the push abillity, mara's get the two sabers so no pushing for them!
  6. Hooray! Good choice for a planet imo, can't wait to explore it. Also fun to see Dxun return. Or is it another moon? Either way, good stuff.
  7. Ah yes, there are in fact elevators so you should look around, Maybe they don't activatie till you take care of the mobs...that I do not know. But there are certrainly moving platforms going down.
  8. Yes please, it is absolutely awful. Pretty much everything about it. From the bug that disables sprint, to your name tag changing, to the terrible lay-out, ****** quests, to the fact that half the time my companion disappears for no reason (can't blame him though).
  9. I could give you Manaan and Blood hunt as they seem more difficult than the others. Honestly though, I have been here since (here it comes) launch and I have never wiped on Athiss or heard anyone say it is difficult. So I think some of your problems could be attributed to bad luck. I would not mind if they would make the adds less strong in the Manaan boss or removed the knockback from Valk and Joss. About the others I think you are dead wrong. In the dozens of times Ive completed them I never had a serious problem. Except for maybe the knockback from the commando on Tython that pushes people into other mobs. Thats it. As far as I know any difficult tactics were removed from Veteran a long time ago. It's OK to have to learn sómething to do a FP. That's the problem with the solo game nowadays, it is so close to godmode that it teaches you very little (like interrupts, staying out of a blast radius, using defensive cooldowns, etc.)
  10. Yeah that used to be a probem, but not anymore since you get conquest exp for everything now. I am a casual player and if I just focus on one character in a week I complete conquest even without doing ANY of the conquest achievements on purpose. So I do not think it is unfair. Besides the conquest cycle was made to favor different styles of playing every week. I do not think it is a problem if the effort to complete it differs.
  11. I think there is a far greater sin in the storytelling by BW: traitors! How many people backstabbed the outlander or betrayed him somehow? Especially those brought in by Lana, who (having been a spymaster) should be a little bit better at spotting betrayal. If you kill them all you are pretty short on allies by the end.
  12. It's nice. I always enjoy a new planet and it is different and atmospheric. It works fairly well immersion-wise. Except for the quest givers who feel somewhat out of touch. I feel a lot of people forget that this is an event and not an actual update. Next to the other events, this is a welcome addition. On the flipside it is a bit crowded and the H4's are fairly uninspired.
  13. I disagree, I like the system. If you read more thoroughly you would have seen that 9, 999 or 9999 ranks don't matter as it is just a number.
  14. No it isn't bad. SWTOR (to me) is a great game. When you read the forums, it sometimes seems people feel differently. The fact is that a lot of games in the list were doing a lot worse after 7,5 years, if they were even still around. For an MMORPG that is a pretty long time. SWTOR really did stand the test of time. I think the thing that bothers people the most isn't that SWTOR is not a good game, but that it could have been better. Maybe even a lot better. It might have even had the potential be the promised WoW-killer. Instead, it just put a dent in it's armor. And that is dissapointing. To those who really care about SWTOR or Star Wars, that is frustrating. To see a game with such amazing potential not to become number one. I myself believe it could have been. What went wrong and what should have happened don't really matter anymore. So those passioned people wil often feel disappointed about this hard truth. On the forums however (and maybe irl) it is much easier to deal with (and express) frustration and anger than suffer through sadness. In my opinion, that is where the negative posts come from. To end on a positive note: I have loved playing SWTOR since launch and I will be here till the end, because I still do, almost every day.
  15. I appreciate the response, but if you think the problem we have is the time investment...you should read this thread or my post more carefully.
  16. Yeah I am ready to call it. I hate the gearing system now. I got 5 bad relics in a row... That means someone who is not unlucky, is about 15 crystals ahead of me for no reason. That is A LOT considering how hard it is to get the crystals. I sortof get the RNG, but at least make it RNG with equal chances instead of mainly relics and implants. At the very least greatly increase the reward for destroying 252 gear. Or even better, do not use RNG when losing means you get NOTHING. At least in the disinticrates you often get something useful. I am far more fanboy than hater, but this is just a stupid system which discourages me from playing endgame stuff. The set bonus bug is not helping either...
  17. What bothers me the most is that the entire flippin' fleet was near Odessen at the time. Why on earth would you do that!? Hylo says she pulled the entire fleet there, but that still makes no sense. If you have an empire you would assume a lot of the ships would have been on some mission or the other. Just as you were able to isolate a ship in KOTFE when Arcann stil commanded them. A few shots and BAM the entire fleet gone...rly!?
  18. First off, everything that makes the game (virtually) unplayable like bad lag, ability delay, constant DC's and the like. Second, if OPs are needed to advance the story I will start to consider leaving. Nothing else that I can predict though, I am a pretty hardcore SWTOR fan.
  19. It's not much better in the Netherlands...keep getting massive lag spikes
  20. Dark side and Light side are not the same as right and wrong. They are different philosophy's. It is the same with moral philosophy, who is to say what is right and wrong? The reason so many people have studied the subject is because there is no clear cut answer. As I understand it, Light side is live and let live, no matter the context, no matter the price. Killing someone cannot be a Light side action. If I am wrong and there is a Light side way to kill someone in game, let me know.
  21. Jedi Knight! Epic story, great companions, nice ship, binary sunset music, references to KOTOR, very iconic and archetypical. Plus being able to go to Dromund Kaas is awesome! I am a big fan of the Hero archetype so that may have something to do with it
  22. I still want, and always will want...Kashyyyk
  23. There has been some serious discussion about the new gear and how to get it. Some people say it is a grind, too time consuming, too expensive to craft, not fair for PvPers, not alt-friendly, etc. My question is simple: then what do you want? How should we be getting new gear? What is the best way for you to get higher tiers of gear? What is most fair for everyone? I get the complaints, I do. Though I am uncertain what is a better way of gearing up. Would it not be helpful to give BW some alternatives? Please share your views.
  24. Here is the thing though...if gear is craftable, it would make the current command system obsolete. That seems rather unlikely. So I think one of two things will happen: 1. The highest command ranks drop mats for crafting 2. Only activities that require high end gear will drop mats So yeah, in case of no. 2, that means only ranked would give mats, if PvP gives mats at all. But you can bet on them taking PvP into account given their recent focus on it.
  25. I found it an intense and exhilarating experience. Very well done on that part! Beautiful immersive world, that's how I like it. The story was a bit thin but the stakes were very high and I really did wonder whether someone was going to die. Truth be told, story-wise I didn't expect much so there was no dissapointment there.
