  1. Can you please fix this so I can advance on all my characters? One of the reasons I have so many alts is so that I can experience all the different options SWTOR gives me.
  2. These are quite good I must admit. Nice framing and atmosphere.
  3. IMO this should have top priority since as a story-driven MMO this is pretty much gamebreaking. It is bad enough to see Theron everytime regardless of the fate you chose for him. But this bug is too much for me. Ive got 2 dozen characters waiting to do this 'quest' and it will stay that way until its fixed.
  4. I am well aware of the patch notes. They have not always been accurate though and it is quite frustrating not to be able to advance the story. You can't exactly go back and do it again.
  5. I just hope they will be able to make a decent bad guy again, instead of using one created by the original team, like Malgus. If it has to be a sith then make him like before: heavily armored, dangerous and brimming with power. Someone who inspires fear and respect. Malgus, Jadus, Marr. Defying them meant death, and you knew it. Sith-wise, we have to content with Acina, Vowrawn, Rivix, Krovos, Shaar, Savik etc. Who are all political and cunning, but do not have any of the above mentioned characteristics. We need powerful sith again, as bad guys or dark council members.
  6. Just remembered more that are great: Darth Marr cutscenes! The KofFE one in the throne room: That whole scene, actually. "I will not kneel!" Fantastic cutscene all around. Also the VA btw. And then the one inside Satele's mind: "Avenge me, avenge us all!" Great writing, great camerawork, awesome cutscene.
  7. Oh and I forgot the best one: the KotET intro scene when you arrive on Voss. Beautifully done! How you fly through a space battle seeing Voss from above and than land in a straight up warzone when the door of your ship slides open after an inspiring speech to the Mando's. Perfect. Wish we had more of those epic scenes. It really drew me in and made it feel like a movie for a sec.
  8. Taking out Arcann on his flagship was pretty ******. Him staying alive...was not. Though his redemption was cool. The JK fight on Tatooine with the sith lord on the rock bridge...epic The scenes at the final (solo) battle with Revan. Awesome scenery
  9. Wow that is a whole new level of bad! Imagine having to write that explanation knowing there isnt't really an excuse for it. Anyway, personally I hit few gamebreaking bugs in SWTOR so I am not that worried. Also I had hoped this thread was about geonosians or collicoids or some such.
  10. Honestly, it has not been a problem for me at all. Regardless of my companions at that point. I was pretty well geared by the time I got there though. Since the fight is very straightforward, the usual applies: - stay out of any abilities she casts with an area effect - make sure your companion is set to heal - if need be use: stims, medpack, heroic moment, unity or even sacrifice - you likely have a skill that reduces agro which you could also use
  11. The thing is, in the original game (up to Ilum) you had a pretty good sense what was going on in the galaxy through a combination of class story, planetary arc, side quests and the flashpoints. Now flashpoints ARE the story. I guess it's better from a content perspective but it is a way more narrow way of telling the story of the galaxy. It also leaves far less room for class-specific variations, which leads to a decreased sense of immersion.
  12. I feel this deserves a bump as it is a common sentiment I believe. For me something feels of about the way the Empire is now portrayed. Yes they got their act together, that is great I guess. But it does not feel exactly right anymore. Where are characters like Jadus and Marr? Those characters oozed strength, competence and power. The Empire used to be ruled by power as much as it was ruled by scheming. I find the current leaders bland and unimpressive, or just about conniving instead of might. Where is that sense of danger and awe? I still see this in Malgus somewhat and Scourge, but it does not seem to be integral part of the empire anymore. As a Sith character, you should be among those mighty, awe-inspiring characters rather than treated as a generic commander.
  13. I made a thread pushing for a way to avoid having to do a particular activity in GS. I was happy with the reroll system until I saw it in practice. There are too few different quests and rerolls often get me the same quests as the day before. With the bugged objectives and the badly thought out ones (hello shaclaws), one reroll does not cut it. I do not even mind random quests, but having to do the same quests in a row or having to deal with the above...that takes the fun out of it. And since I do not do OPS, I cannot risk rerolling weeklies unless it is the OPS one. So that gives me no choice regarding the weekly objectives. With a better system, de rerolls might have worked (for me). But as it is...I need more to keep me motivated. More rerolls wont make it a better system or more fun quests. They need to rethink this GS system entirely.
  14. As far as I know you indeed have to do the VETERAN version to complete the weekly PO. Depending on your skill level and gear, VETERAN is soloable but takes quite a bit longer than the solo version. In a duo or group it can be cleared fairly quickly. You will need someone who is either good/quick or understanding I guess. EDIT: PvP and GSF are relatively quick 'group content'. I do not think you can solo weekly's.
  15. There is a lot more roflstomping going on for sure. But I have been on both sides of that. Same as with GSF really. It doesn't bother me that much. Sometimes in PvP it is annoying if you want to win and your team is completely clueless. In GSF however, I am thankful for all the newbs as I am trying to relearn it myself. This way I can actually land quite a few kills. And also muck up without feeling like a failure
  16. Basically, if you feel like soloing you can refresh your PvP daily to get a GSF daily:rolleyes:
  17. It is even worse than that. If you log out anywhere during the quest chain, you will get stuck there and will have to redo the whole bonus series. So the way to solve this problem is to complete it without loging out anywhere in the proces.
  18. I completed the veteran mode dozens of times on quite a few different characters. None of them had set bonusses, none of them had a level 50 companion. They did have a full 306 set. These are things that helped me: - In the room with two elites and 2 standards I sometimes have to run/kite the elites to get my healer to catch up healing me. It looks silly on a melee class to simply run away around the room, but it works - In the rooms with the two elites and the exarch I always make sure to DPS down 1 elite ASAP (make sure your companion targets the same one). Try to kill it before the new mobs spawn - also, a bit of a cheat, but if it's really necessary, here you go: if your companion is still outside the room, the exarch does not activate droids. So you can kill the two elites while being healed from outside the room. Then get your companion to come in and you'll have a much easier time - lastly, save your best AoE for the 5 skytroopers that spawn and immediately focus on them when they do - I am 90% sure not all the SF's are equally difficult so that info might help - Do not use HK-51 as a companion... - Make sure to activate the heat shield thingy you get from mobs every time it drops to 0 - Mobility is very important, so make sure you know how to play while running around Maybe this will help. I am convinced every class can do it. But some are definitely easier than others. Like I said: mobility is key so more mobile charcters are probably easier.
  19. I agree that as a whole, fhe system isn't great if you want to do specific objectives for GS. Even for those people however, the possibility to refresh is a step in de right direction. It really is a positive development. Especially for the Weekly objectives which require a group. I do understand being only able to refresh once though. Else it would take 0 effort considering you could just do what you normally do. And that was not the idea behind GS. Though by the looks of it, the objectives could have been more imaginative. I don't suppose they include space missions for example.
  20. I just saw this in de dev tracker: Which is pretty much exactly the answer to my concerns. So thank you very much for this! It is reasonable, fair, has no negative impact that I can think of and will increase GS fun. I sincerely hope this will make it to the main servers.
  21. I had quite a few of both actually. Those who refused where: 1) looking for peace 2) wanted to end the cycle of tyranny on Zakuul 3) had no interest in ruling or sitting on a throne all day Those who claimed the throne: 1) were looking to maximize their power 2) felt they deserved it after all that Zakuul took from them 3) believe in strong leadership, order, control and feel they could do better than Valkorion and his family It is somewhat dissapointing how little the choice matters and how it is all gone in one blow.
  22. That very much depends on how much time you have and how often you can log in. Someone else already took the liberty of doing the math: I know for many people it is standard practice to log in every day, especially on the forums, but for most it is not. To comfortably achieve GS level 100 you'll have to log in a lot more than once a week/month. The weekly objectives are pretty important to keep up, especially if you happen to be on holiday for a week or 2-3. Let me be clear that I am willing to put in effort and try different things to max out GS levels. My only concern is that this might be tough playing as a casual. By giving some more options, you do not harm anyone. Neither does it get easier in a general sense. But it will allow you to earn points more efficiently/pleasantly on a personal level.
  23. Interesting discussion on 'play it your way' and/or the lack thereof at present. I would like to stipulate that I'm not asking for GS to be easier or to make it 'play your own way'. As i mentioned, I like to be incentivised to do different content. I am just suggesting a way to make GS more casual friendly and more fun (blasphemy!). After all, most people are casual players and the impatient players will pay CC to level either way. The thing is that GS and 'play your own way' are polar oppsites right now and I do not feel they have to be. Even if they left the daily objectives as they are and just added 1 more weekly objective option it would help. I am ok with BW stimulating group content. It would be nice to not have to do ALL of it though. *Yes, I am fully aware of the alternative (paying for levels) but I have a feeling it is going to be far from cheap.
