  1. For players who like star wars...a lot. Vanilla was made for people who like immersion and storytelling. That was what it was good at. Vibrant, living, explorable worlds. I don't think this game has even been good at (or has ever focused on) PvP or Endgame.
  2. True that would have been nice. Though GSF was advertised as a minor expansion, this is 'simply' an event. If you look at Bounty Brokers for instance or the Nightlife event...this is more imaginative and more fun imo.
  3. I am not ashamed to say that I liked it. There are most definitely things that can be improved. If nothing else, it would be nice to see the NPC's standing on the floor instead of in the floor. It is not a big event, there is not that much to do, but it is entertraining and I immediately completed all 9 tracks/gangs. I will do it again too. It is something else to do and a welcome change.
  4. There must be more malavai hate threads out there though. He is indeed the companion (out of all them) that I despise the most. Don't like his face, voice, story and whatever they try to pass as a personality.
  5. Some people's idea of fun eludes me...
  6. Exactly the same for me. In the beginning a lot of people played GSF, the queues at peak times where very short. And than bombers happened. I stopped playing because I heavily favored the Scout which was pretty much useless at that point. I never looked back.
  7. Yeah, there is something about those original planets...I think it is the fact that there is so much going on that is not directly related to the main story. Most worlds after Corellia feel very deliberate. Everything has a function and a reason. That makes the worlds less...real. On a planet with 8 class stories, 2 main stories, multiple bonus series and a whole lot of sidequests and heroics, it feels vibrant and alive. Exactly because a single character doesn't have to go everywhere and do everything. Example of this on Tatooine: I remember wondering why there was a burning sandcrawler with war droids far out into the desert on my smuggler. Replaying a consular I found out (again) that it was part of her class story. Worlds where too little is going on besides the main story can feel more claustrophobic and less immersive. That is even worse when doing railroadstories (KotFE KoTET ). The story can be immersive, but the worlds don't feel real. I want to go out into a world and find quests left and right, wonder why stuff is there and feel I get more info on the planet and people because of these side quests. Also, open spaces like on Tatooine, Balmorra and Alderaan make the world more real to me.
  8. The vanilla story at the moment...it's just so good. It is my 23th alt and the original (class) stories never dissapoint me.
  9. I feel I should be able to play this game for the sub money so I do not buy additional CCs. Everything I 'buy' is from the free monthly CCs. Where the CC money goes is indeed uncertain. The one thing we do know for certain however, is that if too little money is spend, it will mean the end of SWTOR. So I am still grateful so many people decide to 'support' SWTOR this way.
  10. I am sure they will extend it because 1 person has some personal story about why they should. Meanwhile I am level 69 on Alderaan on my 22th alt because I like to play through all of the story, as it is the best part of this game. If you want a shortcut through a game that already made leveling very easy, I suggest just CCing yourself to max level.
  11. Hey so a question...why is that? Why are there so many new players? Is it Corona related? It's great for the game. I do have to get used to doing FP's with newbs again but you can't have it both ways I guess.
  12. Yes this would be great and might actually save BW subs
  13. Agreed, it is a LOT better than it was before! You would have to try very hard *not* to hit the conquest goal. That said, I have two small suggestions: 1) create a way to sort the conquest goals now that the list is so very long. Maybe a separate list for completed goals(?) 2) rebalance some of the rewards. Some goals are extremely easy yet give a lot of points in comparison to more difficult goals
  14. To me it would matter what it would do their turnover. I do not see it being in anyone's best interest if their revenue was cut in half. Content would roll out even slower and people might get fired too. When I myself had some money issues I simply started playing for free for a half a year and than started paying again. This is a far better option than paying half price.
  15. Jedi Knight and Imperial Agent were very nice. Overall the Smuggler and Trooper were the worst imo. I wasnt really into the Inquisitor either but I realise that I am just really pro-republic at heart
  16. I was thinking the exact same thing. Besides, is endgame so great you want to rush to it?
  17. 13 pages of troll feeding...classic
  18. Not really because they were clear about it being the size of hearts and minds so I knew what to expect. Yes when I saw that I was a bit disappointed, but my expectations were lowered in a way that made the Alderaan stronghold very impressive.
  19. It is absolutely amazing, I love it! It will certainly be my new go-to stronghold. It helps that I really like Alderaan. Even so, great job BW's!
  20. Hoth Republic side: "I'll remember that next time I'm a Wampa"
  21. Iokath is the worst in every way for me. Travelling is annoying because the map is unclear, all the teleports and all the mobs. The story is very bad. Out of character for a lot of the characters and Rep and Imp become generic stereotypes. Quests are awful and when there are multiple people you have to wait for a long time. The mobs are boring droids. The atmosphere is just bad and uninteresting. It is not just the environment that is artificial, it is everything.
  22. Last night I had a lot of lag spikes on Darth Malgus as well. ms was all over the place and I could not find any problems with my internet connection neither.
  23. You are right that it should be more balanced in terms of rewards. As someone who does not have time for OPS though, I am not affected by that part of your post. I am however affected by people only running Hammer Station in the group finder. I want to be able to complete my weekly and daily without having to run Hammer Station ALL THE TIME. There must be a way to fix this, so that if I queue for a random FP...I get a random FP! Either reduce the HS reward or make it impossible to skip so many mobs...
