  1. Leveled a sniper first, had no issues soloing content. However compared to the Inquisitors we kill stuff very slowly and honestly are a lot more squishy then they are. Khem Val is hands down a much better tank then Kaliyo. Also as an Assassin I have zero issues taking down champions my same level, something that my sniper had a very difficult time doing. Is it impossible to solo with a sniper? Not at all, is it on par with other classes? No its not.

  3. Ambush + Explosive Probe. Has anyone noticed that if the Ambush gets deflected the Explosive Probe disapears on the target? The cooldown says you still used it but the Explosive Probe is no where to be found. This has happened 3 or 4 times now, quite curious if others have experienced the same problem.
  4. I don't find any of the 31 point talents to be worth it. With my current 22/16/3 build I pretty much have unlimited energy with HIGH burst damage for a long period of time. 31 points just to fend off a couple of melee isn't worth sacrificing my significant ranged DPS. Doing 4k ambush+3k Explosive Probe at the same time and then recovering a lot of that energy from cluster bombs with SoS? Can't beat it.

  6. Fighting a BH or Trooper as a sniper is ridiculous at the moment. Granted i only have champ gear but an ambush crit for 1500? Thats with 20% armor penetration, ridiculous.
  7. If he doesnt see me: Ambush + Explosive + instant sniper(talent for going into cover) + follow +SoS + laze snipe + follow + Takedown. If he does see me: Instant Snipe +Target Acquired + 1.2 second Ambush(hopefully) + explosive + follow + sos + laze snipe + follow + Takedown. Granted it depends on the armor, if its a Sorc they can be dead after the first followthrough. If its a Trooper, well why the heck are you shooting at a trooper? Honestly having 115 Energy and the Explosive Probe energy regen is really what I rely on to keep high sustained damage. Adrenaline Probe as needed.
  8. Countermeasure thing is a Lethality skill tree ability, pretty far up. I don't know about the evasion thing.
  9. My only complaint is that most of our helms are completely atrocious looking. Less gadgets and glasses and more full sized helms please.
  10. Im currently specced 22/16/3 and unless im facing dudes with tier 3 pvp gear i roll people. I think a lot of people get frusterated at lvl 50 when they first start doing WZ's because you will get absolutely brutalized as a fresh 50 sniper. It's very ugly until you get around champion gear level. However they really do need to fix these cover bugs. The animation lag is absurd and the fact you cant go into cover while rooted is ridiculous. You shouldnt be able to dodge or deflect ambush, its called AMBUSH. I also feel as if we need an escape ability or a sprint. If two people target you, you're basically toast. I hate Lethality because dotting is boring and has nothing to do with being a sniper. The fact that people resort to dotting instead of sniping as a SNIPER should really tell the devs something. Honestly fix the bugs and then we'll go from there on the class.
  11. Hold Position: Passive While in cover, ranged defense increased by 20% and you are immune to interrupts and ability activation pushback. Am I misreading this?
  12. My favorite is if you do manage to get them way down they just vanish and sprint away. Wish we had a real escape ability.
  13. I dont have a problem with the class as it was intended to play. My issue is with the things that aren't working as intended. Passive Cover ability that people can't ability push me In Entrench people pushing me and leaping to me Cover not always working and my favorite "Unknown Effect"' People being able to deflect Ambush is ridiculous, especially the amount that it happens If people are stunned Ambush and other knockbacks dont work Its things like these that make it frusterating to play sometimes, especially when the biggest pvp game is huttball which is all about mobility.
  14. Frag grenades and Explosive Probe. Let your tank get all the aggro and then start picking them off. You have to target each NPC separately when you do things. 4 Mob Scenario. Target NPC A, Ambush + Explosive Probe = 3-5k depending on crits, if this doesn't kill him immediately, which it should, I rock some normal blaster fire to engage the cluster bombs which recover energy and dispose of NPC A. From the outset of combat I've wasted maybe 1 second at this point. Quickly Target NPC B and throw a frag putting him on his ***. Target NPC C and instant Snipe + laze him, followed by Series of Shots, NPC C is roughly dead at this point, if he is not I throw another frag or use Takedown. NPC D is engaged with my companion which I'll leave alone in the end. NPC B has gotten up at this point and is shooting at me. My 1.5 second Ambush is up at this point, I use it + frag grenade(which often kills NPC D as well) and then use Takedown to finish whoever is left. Game over. Recuperate for a few seconds and move on to the next group.

  16. I've posted this before but you can use Ambush + Explosive Probe. Basically just hit Explosive Probe right when you fire your Ambush and you just did 4-5k Damage if it crits.
  17. What do you call Distraction? I call it a 4 second interrupt....
