  1. lol....I was in a huttball on my lev 23 sniper being a turret and didn't realize I had the ball after killing the ball carrier. Was to focused on being a turret. The poor guy healing me pst me and said, "Dude, you know you have the ball right?". I responded in ops, "hell no, sorry, was just focused on killing" and promptly passed the ball. I have 3 50's and still I'm a noob in huttball....lol
  2. The poor community in the game I won't name is the main reason I looked at games coming out and chose this one at the time. After TBC, that community got really bad. It seems ALOT of those bad eggs migrated here and ran off some really good people. You can be pro at anything, be it PvP or PvE, but if you're a d-bag, does it really matter? When I first started playing MMO's, it use to be you could ask a max lev person with all the gear for help in rotation or spec and they would gladly take time out of their day to help you. I have to admit though, that there are a few helpful peeps on the forums and have watched their videos on youtube and have learned alot. I guess people just need to realize that it is a game, not a job, and that people will make mistakes from time to time. I have found though that the 50 bracket is the worse due to (and I can only guess to this) guilds preparing for rated wz's (that can't come soon enough) and pugs getting rolled. Not saying premades are a bad thing, but losing 6 in a row puts people on edge.
  3. I can't understand the concept of allowing anyone to win. I'm in a duel faction guild and it gives me no greater pleasure than to faceroll my guildies. The bragging rights alone are worth more then the valor/coms. Even same faction matches where we are on opposite teams, I target guildies first and mark them so I can spot them easier.
  4. Here are a couple of good reasons to PvP before 50. http://www.swtor.com/community/showthread.php?t=451299

    Preparing for Lev 50 PvP

I don't see the logic in a WH weap and recruit gear vs. 6 main pieces of BM and recruit filler. After all, you are still going to have to grind the BM gear to exchange for WH and this way you are 6 pieces ahead of the game and Viable to your teams success. And no it isn't a race, but I would rather spend the coms on 6 pieces vs 1 when we are speaking about basically free rated coms from 40 to 50, as in there is nothing to do with wz coms but purchase rated coms.

    Preparing for Lev 50 PvP

Not sure which way is the better way to go. Was just showing how viable it is to get geared now in this game. There is no reason for anyone to be in orange/greens from leving in 50 pvp bracket.

You still need the BM gear to turn in for the Warhero so I would say no.

    Preparing for Lev 50 PvP

Rated to wz com conversion is 10 for 10.
  9. Here is what I have learned about the new system of getting gear for the 50 PvP experience. 1) By lev 40 you should have all orange gear by now and 2000 wz coms saved. Spend them on Rated WZ coms. They can be purchased at lev 40 and have a cap of 3500. CAP THEM 2) Cap your wz coms at 2000 also. Totally possible to do this before 50 and you can still quest between ques and do your class quests. 3) When you reach 50, spend your coms on BM gear, the 3500 rated coms + the 2000 wz coms=5500 wz coms. That is enough to purchase 5 main pieces of BM gear which will give you the 4 piece set bonus and a main hand weap. 4) Fill in the rest of your gear slots with Recruit Gear. And now you have a viable toon in the world of 50 PvP. Now on to do the daily, play 6 matches (win or lose), turn in the daily and you should have about 1565 wz coms. Use those for the off-hand or a helmet. this now gives you 6 total pieces of BM gear with the rest filled in with recruit. You won't be a power house, but you won't get rolled either.
  10. I just hit lev 49 on my powertech. I have 3500 ranked warzone coms and 2000 wz's. That will give me 5500 wz coms and I'll have almost a complete set of BM gear when I hit 50. Way easier to get gear now then it was on my sage or sent. As of last night I hit 50(yay). With the above mentioned saved coms, I was able to purchase 5 main pieces of BM gear(chest, hands, pants, feet and weap) filling in the rest with recruit.
  11. lol......this is pure BS. The Imps have it way easier with the better skill sets. I have played both sides and from what I have seen the Imps mechanics are far more polished, the BH hits way harder than a commando, and the sorc has 2 more stuns than a sage. The only class that looks "mirrored" is the knight.
  12. I don't think it's the class at all, I think it's the tactics used by multiple Maras/Sents in a WZ atmosphere. But with any class, 1v1=50% chance to kill or be killed, 2v1=dead. Truly though, the 2v1 can happen in a group and you are still dead. What other toon can claim that?
  13. No they haven't changed much, but all other classes have been nerfed into the ground.
  14. The biggest prob with Maras and Sents 1v1 is it's never 1v1. While the Mara/Sent jumps on you and is upclose and personal you lose focus on the pocket healer this so called OP toon has. It's never a 1v1 fight because they know they are screwed when kited away from the rest of their group. Not only that but when you actually get them 1v1 and stomping them, their Mara/Sent buddy they came into the WZ with will jump on you and there is NO winning against the 2.....although most times you kill atleast the one.
  15. From my personal experience the balance tree plays exactly like a shadow priest.

    Trophy Stealing

I call BS. If you haven't gotten the killing blow com then this can be aggravating to say the least.
  17. This whole nerf this/nerf that is getting way out of control. The PvP in this game is pretty balanced as it stands right at this point. The one thing the OP is over-looking is the fact that the one class,operative/scoundrel, isn't being played as much due to the nerf-bat coming in 1.2 that kills the class. They are the healer killers that were in PvP matches before that most re-rolled another class. BW is making a serious mistake taking these skilled healer killers out of the loop. Are they aggravating, sure. Are they unstoppable as they are now? Not by a long shot. But someone got butthurt by a couple of exceptional players and cried foul. There is not one class out that I can not kill 1 v 1. Sure some classes played by exceptional players roll stomp me 10 to 1, but that makes me a better player in the long run and soon I can kill them 30 to 45% of the time. IMO if you are having trouble killing a certain class it is your spec or a lack of knowledge of that class period. Sorry for the rant, but Nerf's have to stop before this game is trash.
