  1. My main is a dps darkness sin. On average I tear through snipers like crazy. Only time I die to them is when they are on ground that I can't quickly get to. Like on a bridge in Huttball, or a cliff in NC. Worse case scenario is that I have to stun then pull them or just cloak. Sniper dps is balanced out due to the fact that their pretty much turrets. They have to sacrifice mobility for damage. Overall, their probably one of the more balanced classes, relatively speaking. The only time snipers are deadly is when their ignored and allowed to do their insane damage.
  2. I have yet to lose a 1v1 fight vs a Deception sin while on my Darkness. I usually stay above 50% health vs a deception sin. Every time I see them work up their Slash charges, I get ready to pop my force shroud. So they then blow their shocks and discharge for zero damage. Most other pure dps classes have tons of ways of just shutting down Deception sins. Due to expertise, Deception sin's fall hard at 50. They don't have the survivabilty, the maneuverability, or the resources to be viable in endgame pvp. Which is kind of sad, yet Bioware has made no attempt to fix it. So until they do, expect to see Darkness as the gold standard of pvp.
  3. If you have a very good healer that is willing to heal you nonstop then you can get away with Deception. But Darkness just destroys both Deception and Madness in a 1 v 1 encounter. Personally, I loved playing Deception from 20-49. I could drop most people easily in a one on one encounter. Once I hit 50, I had to respec. Even with half BM/WH, I still can't get back to the pre 50 destruction. Until they fix Deception and Madness; Darkness will stay the pvp standard.
  4. I just bust out my dance dance revolution dance pad when it comes to WASD. Talk about a good work out
  5. Looks like it. Cheaper just to buy the adrenals.
  6. Any class that could heal in a warzone, yet don't; then whine about not getting healed. But overall, don't like seeing snipers in a WZ.
  7. You left out that every said mez, stune, root and snare needs to be AOE. Because what fun is it, if only one person can't move.
  8. I actually had that happen to my team before in a Civil War. The other team just zerged mid all the time. I went to grass and someone else went to snow and we ended with a 3 cap. I didn't get any defender medals due to just messing with this one sage who went out of his way to try and find my cloaked sin. I wasnt even near my node and he kept on trying to find me out in the field. So it is possible in a win. Very unlikely in a lopsided win but possible.
  9. The unstealthing one is what I get blamed for alot but its due to our Huttball team being a pug and not a premade. So no communication. I usually say when Im in an advantageous spot to catch the ball and wait for them to pass it to unstealth. Also sometimes on low health. The game works against you. Had a few times hit the button to throw yet get killed right before the actual toss. The low health one alot of times can just be put down to bad luck for me half the time.
  10. Was this one of the few people still with the rakghoul plague? (Can't be spread anymore but you can still get insta killed from having it.) I've seen the speed bug hack before. In a Civil War there was this republic character that was moving around super fast, said player was a trooper. Even when stunned, they would still run around all crazy. Everyone else was fine. Seen the invisible bomb plant before on Voidstar only once. I was the only one guarding a door and was eyeing the door the whole time. Went from no bomb to bomb with no one else around. The only real exploit I usually see is the wall run in Civil War.
  11. The highest I ever crit on my Sin was over 4k with a Maul. I was heavy crit and popped my Surge stim and crit/stim relic. It was followed closely by a 3k reckless boosted discharge, Voltaic Slash x 2, and a 3k reckless boosted shock. Stacking crit is nice.
  12. Your first one is wrong. It makes them immune to CC due to being either Force or Tech. Best thing to do is work on getting your rage up and using non force attacks. Worst case scenario, just use base attack. And your second one, yes dead on. Knockback and pulls are your friend here. Overall Marauders are pretty much harder fights for Deception sins. Seeing that they are alot alike.
  13. They really need to boost the range on the defender points. Cause alot of fights don't really happen right at the door, their usually a bit off. Yet still quite close.
  14. Actually I've found that Darkness Sins are some of the highest damage dealers due to the fact that they rarely die. They can continue to unload constant damage on targets.
  15. from 20-49 Deception can pretty much kill any other class 1 v 1. You'll still lose to better players though. Darkness on the other hand is the survivor class, other teams learn to hate you easily. Your AOE's and taunts make it loads harder for them. I actually used my insane survivability in a NC game where I would just go to the west node and start fighting the two guys there. Thanks to spamming Wither and Shock, I was able to get my 3 stack for force lightning easily. Then I would just use that to stay alive while beating on both of them. It usually took three guys to kill me cause in a 2 on 1 scenario I would be able to kill one and slowly start grinding down the other before more peeps would show up. Eventually they had to have four guys stand guard just to stop me from attacking west. Darkness was good for the fact that I could just spam AOE's and hurt alot of people easily. Yet the downside is that I rarely got the enjoyment of just bursting someone down. But overall, it'll come down to your own play style on which you'll choose,
