  1. You know years and years ago (the patch to fix the patch) used to be a joke. It was an unfortunate thing that happened once in a while. These days it's considered 'normal' for a patch to introduce more bugs than it fixes. /sigh
  2. I feel like Troopers reporting to the internal afairs guy .... Nope, refugees still exploding everywhere.
  3. Most players don't go into all that crap. The impression was certainly there, even if they never said it.
  4. [New return of old bug] Sweeping Blasters is now bugged again. (Character does not turn to face the AE effect, even if placed behind, just fires straight ahead) [New bug] Tracer Missile sound effects are gone. (Just silence while channeling and casting) [New bug] Death from Above sound is 'sometimes' missing. (Sometimes no issue, sometimes it only has sound on every other projectile) [New bug] Space missions sound and graphics glitching. (Half way through a mission <ascendancy barrier> all sound stopped, the rest of the mission was complete silence, also at the same time my ships blaster fire dissapeared. You could see the impact on target effect, but no blaster bolts) Also my toon has been getting a red 'half reticle/half triangle' marker over his head now. I have icons/markers/class symbols/name tags turned off. Can find no other option in relation to turning this off. This is after logging in and playing for about 30 minutes ... I can't wait to see what bugs I'll find in the coming days!
  5. Ah yes ... the gnome effect. I remember back in EQ I used to play human or larger races, when I made my first gnome I felt like 'the flash'. You're just so low to the ground it rushes by, not to mention those tiny legs in overdrive.
  6. All depends on what sort of gear you like. I think my body type 3 looks pretty average in the gear I wear ... http://imageshack.us/a/img812/6058/stinkingblasters.jpg I went with rype 2 for my marauder when I first made him .. 30-some levels later I deleted him and re-rolled as body 3 because type 2 just looked to much like a toothpick. IMO body 3 is 'muscled' but average. But then I'm a 6'3" 250lb barrel chested guy IRL so I may be a bit biased.

  8. It's tough. I played my Paladin in EQ through all the hard times. All the many nerfs and hybrid penalty ..... yeah imagine your class requiring 150% as much exp to level as everyone else despite having your 'utility' that justified the penalty removed. It took FOREVER to finally get Verant/SOE to remove the exp penalty. In fact by the time they finally did, I was already at max level. (which back in those days took about 26 days /played) My arsenal merc will always be my 'main' though I have started a powertech. With 8 slots I was determined to have 1 of each class, now I have 4 more slots I can use for other AC's I'll still slog through.
  9. I've seen it. More commonly I see around 900k My asenal merc in PvP with a good group, on a good day, (you know one of those days when you don't have a melee dps locked on you for the entire match) I can push 400k-450k and that's about my max in WZ's under optimal conditions. You know it's a strange feeling sometimes when I'm defending a door in VS or some such and a healer starts pouring everything they've got into keeping me up while I burn guys down. It almost makes me want to send them a tell saying "Hey, I appreciate the heals but I'm realy not the best choice for this sort of support. It would be better for the team if you focused on someone else."
  10. I have never encountered that situation. Trying to cast a heal as an arsenal merc while being beat on is probably the worste thing you can do. You're better off firing off nearly anything and hoping for a crit.
  11. The change to rocket punch isn't a stun, it's a root. Meaning the enemy can still attack you as normal, they just have to stay there next to you as they do it. Which . (PAY ATTENTION HERE DEVS) makes absolutely no frickin sense whatsoever to a ranged class that needs seperation to survive and has no jump/pull/run/escape abilities. Not to mention the 'beyond even pretend world physics' physics fail that a full body rocket-assisted uppercut would make the target stick to the ground.
  12. What buff? Never used healing scan in a capacity that the change would make any difference. It's a useless ability save for 'post combat' when you duck out to heal. Just try to cast healing scan while being beat on, you will be dead twice over before you could cast that.
  13. Last thing we needed was more BH animation bugs. Especially considering how long it took them to fix the 'endless unload' animation bug .... Wait ... is it .... yeah right. /sigh
  14. shift/click and you can use "split stack" mechanic to buy the number of comms you want. This isn't new though, you could do this before 1.4 Perhaps pre-1.4 you could only go as low as 10? I don't think that was the case but I never tried buying just one com.

  16. Never knew that. In my experience the healer, and any ranged would head for the wall. I've never had a whole group stand up there to 'skip' the fight. Have they also fixed the way the turret event would trigger early 'on it's own' and not end?

  18. Not everyone wants PvP. Not everyone wants instancing. Not everyone wants facial emotes. Not everyone wants rediculous looking wow-wanna-be armors. The list goes on. "Not everyone wants" has to be one of the dumbest reasons for or against anything. No matter what you're talking about, not everyone wants. Now if we want to go back over the months all the way through beta and make a count. I dare say that full 3d space is likely the "most wants" of any other item. I was there, I was part of those hundreds and hundreds of pages of posts that dwarfed all other issues with the game. "Not everyone wants" indeed. But a whole heck of a lot of people do. It's just to bad so many have already left.
  19. Something .. the current system is a pain .. by the time you get a marker on something the tank is already airborne half way to the target.
  20. Clearly these aren't the patch notes you are looking for. I get the point. This is the fist MMO I've played where they take the forum/website down at the same time as the servers. And yes, in terms of patch notes the worste I've ever witnessed.
  21. That would be to cool. I have an issue with a bug on my sniper more so then other classes. Where for no reason his attacks get glitched and don't do any damage whatsoever. Happens both in WZ's and FP's and open world. I think it's a bug related to cover. All in all I think my sniper is right where he should be. Really it's the only class I've got where I don't think there should be any changes one way or the other. The upside/downside of the class ballances out just fine, and he can do his job. Yeah, hiding behind a glowing screen isn't exactly "sniper-ish" but it is "Star Wars-ish" so it works. I don't see any need for a stealth. I already consider existing stealth classes OP, to add a stealth to sniper would be 'undenyably OP'.
  22. Can I call em or what? On a serious note .. if you want good defense and DPS, you might look at playing a class that includes tank and DPS trees. A Sith Jug or a BountyHunter Powertech for example. You can always go for a hybrid ballance between DPS and tank skills. Classes like the merc may wear heavy armor, but with no tank skills it really means nothing.
  23. Judging by your forum avatar, and factoring in your typing skills. Then allowing for a random modifier. I sense that you should play an Arsenal spec Mercenary. For you, this is the best class.

    omg .. I just read part of the chat ... "We're fighting a republic team?" "Yup" "Weird" "It happens but no idea why" Just yesterday someone was in general on fleet asking how the Imp PvP WZ's were on 'this server' and do they loose all the time. General pretty much to a man informed him that it's hard to say because most PvP WZ's are Imp vs Imp. Thus they win and loose all the time. Could it be that republic players just don't know that same faction WZ's are possible? /giggle
  25. I have all icons turned off. While targeted I just pay attention to what they're casting, if they're casting healz .. well then .. Just get an idea of what heals are actually 'healer spec' and which are 'shared spec'. A sorc casting 'inervate' is a healer, a merc casting 'rapid scan' may not be.
