  1. Is your argument that you are awesomeest? That is really what you are saying in the face of complaints of the sniper mechanic..I guess all the world is a stage. I mean LOL your position negates any all complaints I mean hell if you are awesomest than everyone else must be delusional.
  2. NO it doesn't not in my experience..I have been knocked back many times with it up. I'm glad you haven't..but I can tell I have..it doesnt' work all time..If you don't want to believe that..then whatever I am not gonna beat my head against the wall.

  5. it is low..ambush takes a long time to cast and is a staple attack. It is not a channeled ability like rocks or lightning it has to finish its cast to hit. While it is casting you are a sitting duck. When it does hit it is so mitigated by defense the long wait it hardly worth it..particularly when you have someone in your face. It also broadcast who it is targeting with a long flashing sign..allowing the player to run behind cover interrupt it and re-emerge shortly after.
  6. It deserves consideration of the devs..I thought that was obvious...I still think the issues in this thread are valid and need to be looked at. I'm glad you are satisfied but it doesn't change my view one bit.

My laundry list: A few ideas: Either half the cast and cool down times of ambush or significantly raise the damage and defense penetration on it Slightly lower cast time of snipe ( this Is sometimes instant but not always) Allow series of shots to be used outside of cover (as well as in of course) Fix cover pulse (fails me about 50% of the time) and give it a longer root Fix entrench I shouldnt be able to be knocked back with it up Give us stealth detection either in passive talent or activatable skill Increase damage mitigation of cover Increase range to 45m oh and rooting shouldn't prevent you from dropping into cover.

  12. Honestly first thing they need to do is fix ambush (make it faster cast time or cool down or seriously jack up damage and defense penetration on it) Make cover have more benefit...I shouldn't dread getting into cover. Then implement the other stuff on my list as they go.
  13. Damage doesn't really mean anything...even if you consider all the numbers deaths, kills, damage. It doesn't speak to the usefulness or lack thereof of the sniper.

  17. That's fine. It the extended cast time of ambush and the ease at which an enemy player can avoid it (just move behind something or run out of range) warrants a devastating attack and right now that isn't the case

  19. Snipers are not really hard to understand I mean the object is fairly straight forward . Just the mechanic is very limiting and restrictive. And you have an attack that has an eternal cast time which yields proportionately low damage. Hard to understand? No Difficult to play? It seems to be the consensus
  20. Yeah all the same though I think combat should disable stealth..this is a common model used in many other games. It is too much of an advantage to stealth away from a bad outcome...you are not really shouldering true risk.
  21. Thats all good but being able to vanish to escape death...thats a bigger issue than the stealth gank thing.. These games are supposed to be based on risk vs. reward and if you can skirt the risk by simply vanishing and running away...well.
  22. You would be surprised at how much is mitigated by armor and such and force shields and all that.. I think a damage buff and a defense bypass buff are in order...
  23. I dunno being able to vanish to avoid death seems to take the risk out of risk vs reward ya know..stealth retreat heal up or in a close fight it is a way to get yourself untargeted and repostion..it is a tremendous advantage...don't try to undersell it.
  24. Its really easy to knock a sniper out of cover though...just saying.
  25. I hear all the sniper greats saying it's fine..but really cover needs to have more benefit it is more of a liability now than an aid. Ambush is a primary attack for a sniper it is almost foolish to use it in PvP because it has a long long cast time and the pay off is really not proportionate. I think this attack if we are going to be locked in a lengthy cast time like that and essentially sitting ducks...it should hit hard and bypass much more defense than it does now. I should want to use it...not swear it off.
