  1. It was owpvp and you caught some peeps with their pants down The insta spawn surely was a huge surprise in your favor and good job to take advantage The other one wasn't ready to fight either so pride and ego kick in: "ILoosesomusbHAX" Owpvp rules
  2. Makeb is better since you get bolstered to 55, an exploration exp bonus, and everything gives higher exp than corellia and the old 50 dailies Therefore you won't need to upgrade gear since when you hit 55 you can do the sor quest line solo and get 162 level gear Usually I get near the end of makeb on a fresh 47 Make sure to get any crew skills high enough to farm - if you are into that
  3. Hold onto them if you can spare the space Then periodically check the gtn over the months with all your saved items Otherwise you can just keep it or trash it
  4. Yes You need to go into interface editor and select the specific quickbar Then you need to scroll through the options and I think it's called seething like "scale" or something like this
  5. As a permapugger I love it when we have a competent team who does all the little things which contribute to victory without being told For example, last night in a novarre the team was split 4/4 in the spawn when game started One guy ran straight to cap west and three others went straight for east and got it The ones who died at mid immediately went to west and the ones at west moved east All of this in 30-59 with very little ops chat - the occasional specific incoming calls at east with numbers and stuff It was worth the $15 a month just for those 10 minutes I also love it when my "that's what she said.." Replays on gen chat are timed perfectly For example- re: rackghoul event "Time to go get everyone infected" *immediately followed in gen chat by- "That's what she said..."
  6. I dislike cap and bailers (the guy who races- usually in ah- to cap node then immediately leaves to greener pastures) I dislike the 6v1 at a node and no attempt is made by the 6 to cap it until the last guy is dead (only to have another enemy show up and it starts all over again) I get mildly irritated at the lack of awareness to rotate or backcap I get frustrated in hb when team does not move ahead of ball carrier There are many more but these are the main ones
  7. Sorc= ranged versus Lowbie hatred(w/o shroud, execute, etc) = fodder Sorc beat op once- easily, and picked on op rest of wz
  8. This is a very good summary of level 30's in the bracket As such, you are at the mercy of the calibur of your teammates; good teammates make it easier to be productive with the "little things" For example- on my level 30 sin I ditched hatred and went into darkness- being able to protect and spam the aoe slow/damage mitigation and guard swap is much more beneficial to the outcome than a über squish hatred sin Sure there will be times where it is totally futile but knowing what to expect eases the shock many players are describing in this bracket; obviously some classes will have more options as lowbie fodder still, one needs to play smart- los, smart engagements, etc go a long way in wz's
  9. The key is to not break 162 rating on your mods or you will start losing lots of expertise You can check out some of the old pve gear to get some gear set bonuses on your pre-60 "pvp" gear; they take basic comms to acquire You will have to tinker with your main hand/off hand to get your expertise at 2018 (for example, on one of my toons the main hand/off hand are a combo of 162, 15-,148 and my expertise is 1990) If any of your old gear has expertise and it's not Brutalizer it will also bolster in a gimped fashion (so ditch it) Just remember to not go higher than 162; don't mix old expertise with pve mods; and tinker with main/off hand and you'll be good to go
  10. It looks like a mission terminal and yes, it targets you and beeps and stuff; there is one at every hub/taxi pointe- where the quick travel, taxi, and medical droid are It lasts awhile but if you die it might need to be reapplied (it's been a bit since I had toons on makeb)
  11. Make sure you have the makeb bolster activated Put your companion on passive when you have to run up top to click on the turrets You can aoe the little pests on the 1st floor after you finish clicking the turrets Put companion on "attack" when you get back downstairs Interrupt the droid when you can
  12. Expertise is only effective against players But you can do all dailies in augmented pvp gear totally solo (w/o companions) So if you are out in the open world on a pvp server I would strongly recommend using your pvp gear all the time and switching to your pve gear when doing fp's and the like
  13. What if "op" disciplines were only available to newbs? If one's valor, ranking, or whatever went past a certain threshhold then it's only hi skill cap toons for you Mouth breathing, keyboard turning, clicking derper? Well- hatred/serenity assassin for you
  14. My problem with 12xexp has always been it basically removes the mmo game bioware created Sure you can speed level solely doing class missions- which after the first 12xexp- I still ended up space barring through everything and the game becomes even more of a single player game Also, for new players - 12xexp destroys lowbie flashpoints and the "life" on planets for that part of the game which was supposed to be the draw in the first place- and teaches new players the ins and outs Level 60 essentially becomes level 1- and the volume of max level players who don't know what they are doing increases immensely; max level players who don't know how to play in group content, can't fund their characters, and get bored much faster than if they leveled at a more steady pace I guess what I am trying to get at is that bioware, by implementing 12xexp, is killing their initial game in order to keep the current incarnation (tactical fp, cmarket, slot/no slot, etc) afloat for a little while longer
  15. This- you want to make the sorc barrier- your team might even get lucky and burst a slow barrierer- by getting the sorc to blow his life preserver on your terms means you are doing it right
  16. Hypergate has been causing me all sorts of problems today, although I have not had this specific problem yet, I have been dc/booted from several and needed to restart pc each time since I was not even able to login after Everything else in game was working normally
  17. What is the scam? That one made a mistake and purchased something? There is so much wrong with this sentiment I don't even know where to start
  18. title should be: New Paths? Or add to old paths?
  19. Judging by the responses it appears that biowares derpolster is misunderstood by many many peeps still
  20. Just did hk quest on a couple of my 60's and it has never been easier Can solo everything - so I may have to dig a little bit- that's a whole lot easier than trying to find groups to run the fp's after the novelty wore off and max level was 50
  21. For a brief moment I thought the op was referring to shadows being so powerful even the game itself shudders when one pops out of stealth
  22. I agree with this line of action Make inheritance gear relevant Perhaps allow crafters to be able to buff it further in some fashion
  23. If you have the gear go for it You will see how you are fast enough Lots of responsibility as heals but whatever; the biggest thing I noticed versus regs is maximizing your dcd's to the fullest and being more precise every cool down You will get better than you are now if you do lots of ranked so there's always that
  24. Want to get better with your toons? Then enter warzones and play a bazillion matches As for crew skills- they are the backbone of your legacy's financial strength Check out the crew skill forums for that kinda thing Also, don't be afraid to make mistakes- swtor is very very very forgiving and most things can be changed during the life of a toon (except your class) To elaborate further- for a first toon with little legacy development I would choose slicing, scavenging and either bioanalysis/archaeology; if you plan to only level on planets you can farm every sinle node you see - sell the stacks of mats you acquire on the gtn- be sure to check to market price and not list at default price; don't spend on frivolous items; use planet comms to upgrade gear, etcetc Pvp will help you immensely get better with your toon but it takes time to get acclatex if you have never pvp'd in an online environment- but you don't incur penalties when you die so get in there
  25. So much this One needs to play his lowbie midbie much more selectively If the toon can't tank or heal then peel for one who can heal Attach your focus target to the best dps and help kill targets Stay in the pack Learn to abuse the terrain and keep your signature low It is worthwhile to practice these If it is still to much then get leveling asap- hit the kuat academy (and deal with all the derp there) and you can stack comms at 55
