  1. People advise hitting the 50% mark because that's the soft cap, aka: point of diminishing returns. Your skill tree talents don't factor into that however, so if you can get it above 50% with the skill tree points then why not?
  2. If you're a tank you should get it. We have a few abilities that proc or have a chance to proc upon shielding an attack. More shielding = more procs. And there's the obvious damage reduction...
  3. I'm on the Hoth part of my class quest so I'll be unlocking Blizz soon. Ever since I found out that Bounty Hunters got a Jawa I knew I wanted to use him, who doesn't love jawas? But I'm a tank and he's a tank so obviously the math doesn't really work out. So can anyone tell me if his DPS stance (I'm assuming he has one) is any good to pair up with a tank Powertech? Has anyone tried it?
  4. Not on my server... I see more shouts for tanks than anything else. Healers aren't too far behind though.
  5. I find Cybertech very useful and I've never even touched the grenades...
  6. They should just make Sprint a passive ability. Does anybody ever actually WANT to turn it off? It's a pain in the rear setting it back every time you die, especially in PvP. All in favor?
  7. It might be hard for them to allow anyone to pick from the companions that are already there because they'd have to write A LOT of extra conversation options for all of them to go with the different classes. However, I would definitely like to have the ability to unlock an extra companion or two of your choosing afterwards. There should be something like another 5 optional companions that require a quest or some other kind of condition to unlock them with. And then allow players to unlock up to two of them or send away other companions if they want to unlock more (you don't want people to have an overabundance of companions). They could start with HK-51!!! I want him so bad.
  8. But that's the thing... they could very easily add this to the story aspect of the game. TOR already has a great setup for something like this. They could have the two characters getting married go into a conversation cut scene with an NPC officiate to play out the ceremony.
  9. Wouldn't it be better if they just allowed us to get HK-51 as a companion? Anybody know why they took this out or if they'll be putting it back in? I SO want him!
  10. LOL! Silly me, yes that's what I meant obviously
  11. That may be true. However, even if the content team stays on standby until the bug team is done fixing what's there, you'd still have the new bugs show up when the content team does add in the new content. So you're still not going to have any less bugs in the long run just less bugs at any one given time. And it will take them twice as long to do everything on top of that. It doesn't make much sense in the long run to do things the way you're suggesting. I think they're handling things fine. Bugs are constantly getting fixed and new content constantly being added. Everybody wins.
  12. It's a nice idea, but I think there would be too many variables in the ships in order for Bioware to pull this off. I would like to see them at least add the option to buy different pre-made ships. I think that's a happy medium.
  13. I'm not sure about other MMOs, but in FFXI you had the option to marry another player. You could have a wedding and invite all your friends to it. There were actually locations you could rent and formal attire to wear for it and all that good stuff. I'd really love to be able to have a wedding like that in this game and possibly some sort of title or item that you receive afterwards that shows who you're hitched to. You can romance and marry companions in this game, but you can do nothing of the sort with another player. I play the game with my boyfriend and I know there are a lot of others who play with their bf/gf or spouse so I think it's a cute idea for people like us. Would anybody else like to see this in the game?
  14. Ohhhhhhh if it was a green crystal then it must've actually said "restricted to Dark I and above." Which means dark siders can't use it. You shouldn't even have been able to use it at tier I even.
  15. Damn that would be pretty awesome, but not for that price! There's also no 10-key pad =/
  16. I've thought of this too. It doesn't get quite close enough before going into first person.
  17. Instead of a mailbox on our ship, I support the idea of having a personal mail bot pet to summon to us
  18. Dark I and higher means Dark I - Dark IV. Light siders and neutrals can't use it. As for your saber, that sounds like a bug. If it said it was for Dark I and above then you should still be able to use it at Dark II. And as far as I know the only modifications that can alter the LS/DS requirement are color crystals.
  19. Focus target is there but the target of target needs work. You can only use it to target your traget's target. But most people are looking for a tool that will actually show you who's targeting what.
  20. Because people solo in PvP way more than in PvE. You HAVE to form a group to take on the big PvE content. Pretty much everything 50+ requires groups so it's good to know the people on your server. Plus when you're thrown into some random server, you're more likely to get ninja looters who don't mind screwing you over to get gear for their companion. But you don't need to form a group to PvP, you can queue yourself solo and I think most people do. And nobody can steal your loot either. I don't really see how cross server PvP can ruin communities...
  21. /sign I'm actually very surprised this wasn't already in the game. It seems like a fairly simple mini-game to add in and it would really please the KOTOR fans. It's something that could be enjoyed from level 1 to 50.
  22. These are all solid ideas that I'd like to see in the game. I'm glad to see you're for cross server PvP but not PvE, I'm with you on that. Especially more sandbox elements. I know it's a theme park game, but that doesn't mean there can't be some sandbox elements thrown in. And planets like Tattooine and Alderaan have plenty of room to add in some really neat things.
  23. Personally, I don't feel we need one but I'd be okay with a LFD tool as long as it's NOT cross server. I'd really rather see them keep the cross server stuff out of this game though, except for PvP.
  24. Because Absorb only mitigates a percentage of damage from a percentage of attacks. If you dodge an attack (defense) you're mitigating 100% of whatever percentage your dodge rating is at. I think I'm going to go with shield > defense > absorb and see how that works out for me.
  25. You can only shield certain types of damage? What can't you shield?
