  1. I believe you will be out of luck for the next 6 days until KOTFE officially launches. Shadow of Revan is likely still locked for you if you did not purchase it before- I believe the prologue was still available for non-purchasers of the expansion - it will be free once KOTFE launches and you should be able to continue leveling up past 55 then.
  2. I wasted my free lvl 85 or 90 or whatever it was in WOW when they offered a free boost because I was anxious to play with a friend. Ended up wasting it mostly entirely. I would bank it for later (what I'm doing with mine)- in case you have a Bounty Hunter that you level as a Merc up to 60 - but then decide that you love the class, but want to be a Pyrotech. That way you can instant another BH without having to replay everything over again. The storylines are awesome in this game - but then again I've never cared about the end-game here - I'm here for the journey, not the destination
  3. Likely though - you would need to unlock the legacy first still? (If not after Chapter 1, I think before after the second planet you do?) Do you have a Legacy already from another toon? Or are you new to SWTOR and right away knew you wanted to unlock a different race to play as? You may be stuck playing a non-cool character through lvl 10 or 15 or so before you can unlock the race Feel free to let us know for future reference for other players who are experiencing the same thing you are too. Cheers!
  4. It hasn't been live for 24 hours yet - its always wise to expect some issues when new expansions / big patches launch. The tokens are not yet available for purchase - perhaps it means that it isn't live yet either for the free tokens? http://www.swtor.com/community/showthread.php?p=8520690#edit8520690
  5. I think its just new expansion related - I had to completely uninstall / reinstall SWTOR last night myself - SWTOR would just crash whenever I hit "Play" from the launcher. Repair may work - uninstall / reinstall may work - time may work
  6. Switching from a shield on the offhand to a Focus will help dps as JediQuaker mentioned - but yeah - under level 60 I wouldn't worry about changing gear right away - just choose the DPS options as you go from this point forward (and change your skill tree too).
  7. Revan storyline is pretty neat (if you're a lore-fan of Revan too). Enjoy
  8. Have you been a subscriber since August 10th?
  9. I think you're spot on with your title unfortunately
  10. You can focus primarily on the story quests now - and you should be able to stay within the level requirements and level through planets without doing any side quests. That is nice if you really just want to play the story - A lot of quests are pretty fun to do too - but if you really do not like a planet (cough Taris cough), you should be able to streamline it quicker. Legacy Unlocks are pretty neat to get too - you'll unlock a legacy after the first Chapter 1 completion on a class (I believe) - Cartel Market can be pretty rad
  11. I would play through at least once with the Sith Inquisitor (if you enjoy that class), sure you can just skip right ahead - but if I just started a fresh 60 SI - I wouldn't know how bada## my character really was. I love the storylines for the classes in this game (some albeit more than others) - they are fun and really develop your character and some of your companions. If you are a KOTOR fan - you should get a good enjoyment focusing strictly on Class quests (that gave the boost before) - The new expansion just hit - it isn't going anywhere - I didn't get through the entire Revan storyline of the last expansion until just 2 months ago. That being said - it looks flippin amazing for Lore Fans - I personally cannot wait. If you can still level fast on your lvl 33ish character (with the new boost to class quests) - I would recommend doing that. Up to you though - still fun. Can save the lvl 60 for a rainy day when you're more accustomed. It would suck to use it on a class that you then realize you dislike the playstyle of extremely. ** Edit To go along a little bit more - I think going through the entire story arc for a character is important if that is what you are mainly wanting to play SWTOR for (the story). Sith Inquisitor gets really flipping weird too - but yeah - its incredibly satisfying throughout
  12. I missed Han and Leia hugging the first time - saw it the second - tear in my eye I'm also hoping for a scene where a Stormtrooper doesn't let the wookie win
  13. The OP said he found it from the character selection screen: http://www.swtor.com/community/showthread.php?t=842463 It wouldn't be boosting an existing character - it should be available when you're creating a new character. I'm not 100% but hopefully some of that may help: - Scratch that - Unfortunately if you just subbed on 10-18 - you probably wouldn't have access to KOTFE yet nor the 60 boost- http://www.swtor.com/fallen-empire/media
  14. i would look at it more as a benefit - that you would be able to earn EXP at an OK rate or able to help your friends without completely hindering their own personal XP from kills. it worked really well in Guild Wars 2 (from where I experienced this myself) - That being said, it would be nice though if you were "solo" you would have an option to NOT lower your level. That it would only enact if by choice or if you grouped up with someone on that level. Just my 2 cents
  15. is it still stuck in the Unclaimed portion? Sometimes I get confused with Right click and left click in this game with items myself. Claim it to bring it to your inventory - close down all the Cartel Market windows - then try opening the Race from the Inventory menu. It should unlock to your legacy then. Unless if perhaps you have to complete Chapter 1 on a character first? (To unlock the Legacy).
  16. It used to be Bounty Hunter - mainly because they received a Healing Companion right away. With how any companion can tank or heal, I would honestly go with who you would enjoy the most story wise. Do you want to pew pew things in conversations? Do you want to use a lightsaber instead? Do you want to use Force Lightning? Or if you just do what you like to play as, do you like to be ranged? do you like to smash things up close? Do you like to heal? Pick that answer
  17. If you Press "N" on your keyboard, does the companion window pop up? There should be a little clicky button over to the right to Summon the companion. If you are at that point of the story, T7 should be accessible. Unless if there may be a new bug with the Expansion that is
  18. do the vendors on the planets still exist perhaps?
  19. There was someone on each fleet that could "Turn Off" the boost- http://www.swtor.com/community/showthread.php?p=8193498 I do not know the status after KotFE though - There might be a way to block the new EXP system with the boost to class - but yeah I dunno
  20. I know I will have a fun time. Plus cool Duster coat and a cool Han Soloish companion Not having to gear a companion is awesome too
  21. yeah - Death from Above is my favorite ability amongst all classes
  22. i lol'd Or you could just get drunk and click on a random referral link one night. you can just get it over with and not have to worry about it any longer
  23. I think this is exactly correct (they need to be a unsub for at least 90 days (or a brand new account) to get the 500 CC bonus ifaik) - you can still get the 100 coins for a current sub
  24. I'm curious - does the SW CANON just have a Jedi go by either name they feel most comfortable? Did they fill out a line on a single sheet of paper at Jedi Training School under the "Preferred Jedi Master Name ___ " ?
