  1. Sorry, old timer new to the Eternal throne expansions here (and I play mainly Sith) - what type of choices does someone on the Republic side have that a Sith character wouldn't? Was it regarding the Saresh hullabaloo?
  2. maybe getting on the Card-bandwagon and releasing a full $60 version of Pazaak
  3. This is terrible. Exclusivity kills creativity.
  4. I preordered this game and have been playing off and on since it launched in 2011 (I think?) - I was a heavy WOW addict at the time but loved Knights of the Old Republic. Where I'm not a full-time player in end game, I come back to this game about 1-2 months a year and just catch up on the story. The combat in this MMO is my favorite of all - I love wielding a lightsaber and being able to force-choke people who I don't care for in conversations.
  5. Jeepers- that really sucks. Could you write a ticket in regards to it? I know its a long shot but maybe worth a chance? Or slowly withdrawl everything you want/need - and start over by yourself. Will suck for a while but might be worth it in the long run.
  6. ^^^ - I'm returning from a couple year break myself and have encountered this at times, but then other times most people are chill. I have found it annoying as I am not familiar with many of the Flashpoints when everyone assumes to cut corners to skip trash mobs. Combat is fun for me, why not just attack everything ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ If you want to join a guild I have one that is just myself and a friend who no longer plays (i'm on one of the NA servers). I mainly use it just for the 5% exp boost and the guild stronghold instant-port that has GTN / Banks / Mailbox etc. You could also just accomplish this yourself by buying the right Decorations with CC or off the GTN.
  7. Yeah it costs a little more CC to unlock the mount account-wide - it depends on the rarity type (more rare the more CC)- there is a little button on the collections tab when you hover over the mount that will allow you to purchase it account wide (you will just have to be on a different toon to unlock it fully I believe).
  8. Hiya! Stolen from http://www.swtor.com/community/showthread.php?t=878811 - there are several flashpoints with a "Solo Mode" you can do. In that mode it will be a nice breeze of casual play for yourself, a companion, and a Jesus Droid. I say Jesus Droid mainly because it is very hard for the droid to die and it will seemingly always make sure that you don't die as well. Solo mode is for the following: 3 x Republic FP's - The Esseles, Taral V, Maelstrom Prison. 3 x Imperial FP's - Black Talon, Boarding Party, The Foundry. 1 x Imperial and Republic FP - Directive 7. 2 x Ilum FP's - Battle of Ilum, The False Emperor. 4 x Forged Alliances FP's - Tython, Korriban, Manaan, Rakata prime. 2 x Shadow of Revan FP's - Bloodhunt, Battle of rishi.
  9. Yes - Treat it like Knights of the Old Republic 3 - especially now with the double exp till the end of November, you'll be able to level pretty well too (where you feel like you are making progress). Then again, I usually end up wasting half of my allotted playtime just playing dress up with outfits.
  10. I think Alt is saved for other things with SWTOR - I know there is a Christmas/Holiday themed speeder that shoots Snowballs if you hit Ctrl Alt and Z (I think it was those keys). I only use Ctrl and Shift myself after giving up with Alt not working too
  11. Highly recommend Rocket Boots and whatever upgrades to make the CD shorter - also hotkey them to something easily in reach of your home row. Utilized a lot. Also - I love the upgrades for the personal star ship - CD reduction on Starship / Fleet Pass / Quick Travel If you get a stronghold - I recommend a neutral one to "sup up" so that both Republic and Empire toons of yours can enjoy it. Nar Shaddaa / Tattooine / Yavin There is also a decent bundle for around 1000/1100 for Stronghold utilities (GTN / mailbox / guild bank / legacy bank / cargo hold) that helps very much.
  12. Always shoot first - use Spacebar to skip cutscenes - or ESCAPE immediately if you realize you made a mistake on a choice (can redo conversations that way).
  13. Welcome fellow Jawa! It is really cool playing through the classes and seeing some crossover with companions too - (Jedi Consular has a small cross over on a Companion story with another class companion as an example (there are a couple of these)). But yeah - do you want to use the force to kill jerks or do you want to use a blaster? Thats the main question. Overall - consensus generally puts Imperial Agent as the best class story - as far as for myself, I really enjoyed my female smuggler more than any other class to play (she made me laugh quite a bit with her lines). Sith toons I enjoy because I get to feel like I'm super powerful. Up to your personal preference though - all fun
  14. You Might want to throw a Spoiler tag on that first line or edit it - you have a plot spoiler for Sith Warriors (there are a few people out there who might be upset). Just want to give you a heads up
  15. I always thought Flame was kill first (I just assumed that flame = mob to BURN) - you know the whole "Burn boss! -50 DKP moar DOTS!!! DOTS!!! etc etc But yeah - its ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ in swtor though - but I personally go Flame = Kill - Blue thing - CC (leftover from Square - Trap/Sheep from WOW)
  16. My Yavin was a waste too If you are going to be playing both Republic and Imperial, I would check to see if you can get Nar Shadda stronghold as it works for both sides (it was free for a time, your account may have qualified). There is a decoration pack from the Cartel Market that sets you up pretty nicely with GTN / Mailbox / Cargo Hold / Guild Bank/ Legacy Bank / Appearance Customizer / and a workbench. You can basically skip ever going to the fleet since Stronghold is always a instant port too.
  17. There are several solo flashpoints with the questline, planets of Rishi and Yavin to quest on. It takes a while but I thought it was very good story telling. Starts at 54 I think for Prelude?
  18. Yeah - stay as a sub and you have it "preordered" already Confusing but easy
  19. Hiya! No - legacy does not carry over from servers Thankfully though if you plan on leveling up toons quickly, now is a great time. They basically give away EXP free now. You'll have more than enough 25% tokens in bank if you focus only on class story - with the double exp too, it goes fast. Instant 60's do not count towards Legendary either (or are not supposed to). If there are sets that you're curious about, check the GTN to see what they sell for on credits. The best way to turn CC into credits would be to buy Cartel Packs and SELL the packs themselves. Revenge Packs on my server for instance vary between 1.25-1.75 million each. You can buy a 5 pack for around 950/1000 CC (forgot exactly) -= around 7-8 million credits. I always enjoy having all the unlocks I can for my star ship (especially when leveling up). If you're in a guild with a guild stronghold that has all necessities (cargo hold / guild bank / legacy bank - GTN - face changeroo - mailbox ) you would be all set. If you're just coming back too, dozens of people have referral links that when you click on you'll get a free transfer (that you could possibly use to transfer a old toon over). I would recommend using a friends as the owner of the link gets cartel bonuses too
  20. Its been over a year since we got the Tortooga's - please make it happen: Ideas: Jawa Gungan Jawa Ewok Jawa Wookiee Jawa I think mainly I would just really love a character who did not speak "Basic" - That would be incredibly fun (they could reuse the same Jawa words they have recorded and mix it in and no one would be the wiser). Super Longshot, but that would be great immersive fun for storylines for me.
  21. Highly recommend Discord. HIGHLY recommend. Using your iPhone as a speaker phone to chat works wonders (as a option if you dont want to set up / configure headset sometimes) - Super easy / user friendly mobile App / Computer app. Also has a great chat room feature that you can link Gifs and Youtubes (the main concerns for any good chat rooms). And FREE
  22. well with the new Cantina information - it seems we'll be able to kill off some companions in the next expansion. Maybe we need some reserves?
  23. In the future if you did figure it out / find out how to do it - its good for the community to leave your original question and also state how you figured it out. It would help anyone who may end up with your exact same problem and are browsing the forums to try and find a solution just like you were. Just a tip - cheers
  24. Yeah with some of the older sets, you'll have to wait until Bioware reintroduces the set onto the Market. They seem to have an old set up at any given time and rotate it weekly (most of the time). If you have credits, usually buying the specific item directly off the GTN is the best way to go. I would recommend watching the price on the set/ weapon / etc for a week or too because the GTN fluctuates a lot.
