  1. Also possible.

Off topic, but that last windows 10 update sucked, it totally reset my start menu to defaults, I had to re-pin and re-group everything.

Erasing user settings is a standard feature of windows updates, don’t you know that? :p

  2. Hmm. My choices don’t mesh with any of those. I killed Jadus, kept Kothe alive, kept the Codex for myself, and told Keeper (former Watcher Two, not the Minister/former Keeper) I’d go wherever I think I’m needed.

IIRC, the choices on that last one (she asked what I’d be doing while Intelligence was rebuilding their operations) were:

    1. “Watch and see”

    2. “I’ll go where I’m needed”

    3. “What are your orders?”

  3. 6-hour downtime was mentioned as also being necessary for some back-end work, which probably meant the extra time had more to do with running the stored procedure in transactional SQL on the back-end tables across all the databases to fix the mix-up in legacy names, plus turning around and testing that's what they actually fixed.

Or maybe server hardware upgrade/replacement, or applying a long-term fix for the login/server list problem from last week...or even simply installing windows updates on the servers.

  4. HDD vs SSD affects load times but not frame rates.

This is true, but logic doesn’t exist when it comes to people with 5 second attention spans...

Not saying that applies to the OP, but I’ve encountered a few people that particular shoe fits.

  5. Basically this. While a small group may have enjoyed the Alliance narrative, the rest of us were sat stuck with something we didn't like, waiting to go back to our factions or get back to the conflict that mattered. During the entirety of KotFE and KotET we didn't get any choice to go back to the Empire or Republic either, we didn't get a story that suited our playstyle.

Some people say they're "forced" into a narrative they don't like. Well, welcome to our world, we had that for the entirety of KotFE and KotET. We were forced into the Alliance with absolutely no option or ability to escape it or go back to our factions. But the difference here is that more players felt that way than there were those who liked the Alliance. What do I base that on? The fact the devs are backtracking now and are returning to the Empire vs Republic narrative with the Alliance slowly disappearing. KotFE and KotET simply got so much criticism, that it became evident to the devs it wasn't the story that majority of the players wanted.

As long as they can pull it off in a way that feels organic and works for the majority of characters with all their myriad potential motivations, I’m all for the alliance going away. But I have doubts that they can pull it off properly and maintain a cohesive narrative, given just how nonsensical KOTFE/KOTET is for the non force using characters. A quality, cohesive story regardless of the direction it takes is what I prefer, and to do that, they need a logical means of tying up all the loose ends that are present in the current situation.

Unfortunately, they’ll most likely handwave away everything instead of giving us a proper transition that makes sense.

  6. Witcher 3 made CD Projekt the biggest company in Poland, earnings-wise. (CD Projekt Red is their game dev division.)

And I’m betting they knock it out of the ballpark *again* with Cyberpunk.

It should also be noted that CDP also owns GOG, which has a steadily growing library of DRM-free games in its store (Being DRM-free is a prerequisite for being added to the GOG store.)

  7. How about this:

Separate dye modules into ‘modules’ and ‘packs’. A module would be an empty mod that you insert one or two packs into (with one primary slot and one secondary slot), with the packs being a single dye color (either restricted to being a primary or a secondary, or else usable as either slot when inserted into a module). You would insert the packs of your choice into a module, and then apply that module to a piece of armor. Applying the module would color the armor the same as it does now.

You could insert or remove packs into/from a module all day long (this would allow previewing how it would look on the armor you’re intending to use it on), but once the module’s applied to a piece of armor, that’s it, single use. Module and both packs currently in it when you apply it to armor are destroyed if you remove/replace them. Alternately, changing the dye packs in a module would destroy the pack in the slot you’re replacing.

  8. As a note of curiosity, have any of you Lana-haters ever considered the possibility that how much of her we keep seeing might possibly be a matter of contractual obligation between BioWare and her VA? Maybe she’s a player herself and insisted on terms that would let her be as deeply involved on the dev side as possible for as long as possible. :)
  9. Like STO foundry? I approve, great idea!

Besides the RP value it would also be a nice way to wait for more Dev stuff content, actually have those companion interactions we all wanted to have, the possibilities for this on SWTOR are endless.

Foundry popped into my head as soon as I read the ‘idea’ section, too :)

And all Foundry is, is a very limited and stripped down version of the exact same tools the STO developers use, with a big pile of prefabs for building custom maps, and a way to access the player-made areas/missions in-game. :)

  10. I would add also Aratech Achievement vehicles to legacy. Doing all 4 quests for every character to get them is quite annoying, especially Colar and Nightscythe. When quest for getting vehicle by one character is done, it should be in Player`s Legacy to share for not making these quests by other characters, of course by some CC fee.

Like unlocking HK-51? That actually makes sense, they should do that. :)

BTW, what are these quests you mention, and where can I find them?

  11. So I read in the 5.10a update that this issue of getting the Dark Jaesa alert for a Light-Sided Sith Warrior was meant to be fixed but as of 12th January 2019 my Light-Sided Sith Warrior is still getting the Dark Jaesa alert instead of the Light Jaesa. Or am I doing something wrong? It should be noted that I did skip right to Ossus.

I’d say it’s because you skipped. As I understand it, skipping causes *every* choice to be overwritten.

And the “default” choices for imp characters are all dark side.
