  1. I don't care one bit about Anthem and I can't wait for its launch so I can hear more about the game, aside from SWTOR of course, I care about: Dragon Age.

I'm coming for you, Solas, you dbag.

I recently finally got around to giving DA:O a try (I got it as part of a huge sale bundle on GOG a while back). So far I’m liking the story. A power-hungry jerk betrays the king and the entire country (possibly the entire world) in the middle of a demon invasion, and *now* I’m dealing with a zombie apocalypse on top of that *and* having been falsely declared a traitor just because I got recruited to the Grey Wardens... and everything so far actually makes sense...unlike, oh, say, taking a non force using character through KOTFE/KOTET...or the whole traitor arc...or how the entire galaxy’s apparently forgotten that my consular is Barsen’thor...or the fact that a force-user-eating dashade (Khem) is willing to have an intimate relationship with a Sith Inquisitor...

  2. Haha as mostly empire side my Marauder would probably respond with a light saber through the gut. Assuming your race has a gut in the same spot humans do.

Assuming your marauder could catch her off guard, which doesn’t happen in the presence of humans. She has quite a few very good reasons to hate humans in general. Any that she doesn’t absolutely loathe and completely distrust are very notable exceptions.

  3. I think it’s handled well tbh, much better than I anticipated. Im treated as the commander not called “outlander”. They respect me as such, my character does not bow to Malgus because I have authority as commander, I outrank him but sure lets pretend we are equal footing. Your not going to be suddenly put into the dark council or any empire stuff right away. You just got back with them. This is a prologue of you coming back, when the full story comes in you might join fully by the end of it your original faction. But right now they can’t put you right away with them when you can sabotage them. Not everyone’s characters feel like they are jedi or sith anymore so this is a way to make those characters still be their own thing.

Regardless of the alliance thing, my Consular should have been addressed as Barsen’thor, especially since she was dealing with other Jedi. *That* title didn’t change just because I’m the leader of a separate faction, even if other class’s titles/positions no longer apply.

On another note, Vitiate calls the SI “little Sith”? SI should take extreme offense to that, as that’s Khem’s pet name for the SI :D

  4. You should rejoice because Ben Irving got sent from SWTOR to Anthem and no single move BioWare has made has brought me more joy. I know it's petty and immature and unbecoming, but I will never forget watching the live streams where they talked about how exciting RNG is (even though players had practically risen in one voice and screamed NOOO!!!!!) and how we as players weren't playing the game the way it should be played.

He must be one of the bozos that likes lootboxes. But that’s only one obviously undesirable person. What about the rest? :p

  5. I didn't want to bring EA's own reputation to the mix, but yes. Anything EA has "worked" on for more than a couple titles, was ruined, their sports department excluded... Command&Conquer is , maybe, the most prime of examples of that rep

That’s because their sports vomit, sadly, is what made them big enough to start buying and ruining that growing list of unfortunate studios...

  6. The only human character I have is my Smuggler, unless you count cyborgs as humans, then you can add my BH.

    JC: Cathar

    JK: Miraluka

    SW: Sith pureblood

    SI: Twi’lek

    IA: Chiss

Haven’t made a trooper yet, no idea which species I’m going to use there. Probably one of the ones I haven’t used yet.

Keep in mind that only the blindfold distinguishes Miraluka from humans, so you might not notice a Miraluka if you’re not paying attention.

  7. Kel-dor

    Nautalans

    Devaronians

These three, IMO, are the most likely

Less likely but still amusing and/or interesting to see/play as:

    Ewoks

    Jawas

    Ithorians

    Rodians

    Bith

    Bothans

    Sullustans

    Mon Calamari

    Dugs

    Gamorreans

    Tusken raiders

    Dathomir Nightsisters

    Dashade

    Ugnaughts

    Droids of various types

    Wookiees

    Kaminoans

    Geonosians

    Killiks (joiners or otherwise)

    Gungans

And yes, I know that some of them you can dress up as, but that’s not the same

  8. The specified rarity ***or better***.

    Bronze packs give any rarity.

Silver packs give any rarity except bronze.

Gold packs give gold or platinum rarity.

Ahh, wasn’t aware of that. I always assumed it was the specified rarity only.

  9. Go right ahead. Just be aware that every Cathar in the galaxy will probably be hostile to you. It’s only been 300 years since the Battle of Cathar (which, really, is more accurately described as genocide or “nearly successful attempt by the Mandalorians to render the Cathar species extinct”) after all, and it’ll take a couple thousand years for the species and planet to recover.
  10. I have to look into that. Thank you. Now the problem lies in having to unlock everything -individually- for each character in the legacy window.

Yeah, I agree, that is a pain. Best way to do it is to only globally unlock collected items when you’re wanting to use them on a different character. I’ve only done that with a few mounts and armor sets. The most generally useful ones I’ve found so far is the covert energy armor pieces (for setting up outfits/appearance by hiding slots the appearance you’re wanting doesn’t include a specific piece for). You can find them on GTN if you have enough credits, otherwise you’ll have to get them from cartel crates.

  11. Time for more random musical shenanigans!

This time, imagine your characters are calling in to a radio station to request a song. What song do they request? Do they dedicate it to someone? Does the song have special meaning for them?

I’ll start with a couple of my characters as examples:

    Myra Blaize: human smuggler

    Song: Any Man Of Mine

    Artist: Shania Twain

Dedication: “you better be payin’ attention, Corso!”

This fire-haired “privateer extraordinaire” is a country girl at heart, who won’t let anyone push her around and insists on being treated right.

    Darth Vaccina: Twi’lek Sith Sorceress

    Song: The Sickness

    Artist: Disturbed

    Dedication: “screw Zash”

    Need I say more?

  12. Would it be similar if I was playing an light side Sith ?

Nah, Zash only cares about your force potential for when she takes over your body, so she’s too busy buttering you up to make you more pliant so it’s easier for her to do. Can’t say about Darth Cartman, as I haven’t gotten that far into the SW’s story yet.
