  1. Totally agree. Deception is underperforming and hatred is over imo
  2. What legendary(s) are people using for deception/infiltration and hatred/serenity? What about tacticals now? I am still using the same tacticals I was before but am wondering if we should mix that up now with the other changes.
  3. What are people using for a tactical now for AP? The options seem underwhelming. Also, which implant(s) are people getting for AP?
  4. Sounds like you have not been playing PvP on live servers the past 2 days. IN all the reg matches I was in yesterday, Sorc, marauders, and dot spec ruled the dps charts. IF we are seeing such a disparity in PvP, you are either not actually playing on Live or match makeup is more important than the actual classes. Good riddance to people unsubbing on the first day of a big release. We all knew it would be rocky based on past experience. Lets give it a bit for people to find the right combinations of ability selections, obtain legendaries, and the new correct tacticals before we make a snap judgement. I can tell you with great confidence there has been tweaking since the final PTS build. I fully expect there will be more. ONe of the things they were trying to accomplish with the simplifying/dumbing down of combat was to be able to make tweaks and adjustments in a more timely manner. WE just need to play so they can get the metrics they need to start making those.
  5. Personally, I like the black background better. I guess that makes sense since I use "dark" desktop mode on all my computers. My problem with the new UI is it is less efficient than the old one in my opinion. FOr example, I like to keep tabs on how many tech fragments I have especially since you start getting the "almost max fragments" message way too early. I used to be able to see it just by looking at currencies. Now I have to scroll through to find it.
  6. Similar to keybind issue, some of the Preferences -> Control settings stop working after zoning. These include Right click autoloot, area loot, auto target closes enemy and focus target. I am hoping today's maintenance fixes the root cause that affects this and key bindings but wanted to get a report in specifically for this.
  7. Add me to the list of people. Played 3 existing characters and all have the problem. This is the most irritating bug. Im on windows 10 with steam client
  8. If this happened right after you moved and assuming nothing else changed like damage to your pc in transit, then it is most likely a network issue. You service might be fine at your new location, but understand that the route your traffic is taking to/from the servers most likely changed. There might be an issue in the route somewhere. You can see examples of this in old forum posts when servers were unavailable to people or having issues for people. For example, at one point, the route coming from Comcast into the AWS (where SWTOR is hosted) us-east-1 region had a routing issue. It only affected people that were using that particular route. Some of those old posts had troubleshooting techniques to use ping and other network tracing and diagnostic tools to help determine if there was a lag or issue at one of the hops. HTH
  9. If you want to make deathmatching less prevalent in PvP just get rid of the stats at the end of the game or only show objective points.

  11. if the ranked premade groups are trolling regs, then just start signing up for solo ranked and troll them and their ranked score. They get really touchy about it.

  13. This will never ever happen. Animations for the most part are tied to the weapon you are using. If you allow classes to use other weapon types then you have now have ability x weapon type animations for each ability that uses the weapon in the animation.
  14. All it would take to shut down all the negative hate would be for a dev to confirm or deny that the items missing are coming back in one form or another or to state they aren't simplifying things by removing abilities.
  15. Its pretty obvious that they thought about this. They mentioned they would rework where abilities come from. Today, we get part of our abilities from our base class but most from the advanced class. Obviously they will make changes to where all abilities come from the advanced class. As they mentioned in the live stream the reason for the change is to separate story from gameplay. The only thing that is going to be tied to the base class is the story. All combat and other stuff will be tied to the combat style. You want have a force speed vengence. force speed will still be tied to the 12 playstyles represented by the current 4 advanced classes of counselor/inquistor.
  16. I am pretty sure this is exactly what they mean. THe idea of mixing and match different advanced class abilities is ludicrous. Would be great, but common sense says that is not the case. I am pretty confident that weapon types are still tied to the advanced classes because all the advanced class animations are tied to the type of weapon(s) you are using. I would not get your hopes up of being a rifle using powertech unless you intend on choosing the current operative or vanguard advanced classes.
  17. Concerning loadouts, will we have to have the gear that we have in a loadout in our personal inventory or can it pull from legacy. If the former, then we will still be dealing with tons of manual stuff having to move gear from one character to another.
  18. Very curious on how combat styles will work. FOr example, is the weapon type tyied to the style? If so, then a Vanguard who wants to use a pistol will be fire based powertech. I think this will be the case because the animations for advanced class abilities (at least for now) are specific to the weapon type. FOr example, shadow and assassin animations for the most part assume a double bladed saber. Im assuming they aren't going for a total revamp here so just making it so a force user can pick any advanced class assuming light/dark requirements are met. I don't think we are getting a Flame based pyrotech using a sniper rifle.
  19. Actually based on the chart I think its only 2 toons isn't it? 1 force user who can be any force based AC and 1 tech toon to be any tech based AC. You need more for story of course assuming they customize the new content by base class.
  20. IN my main room of my Nar Shada strong hold, I have numerous merchants. IT is taking over a minute for them to spawn after entering the strong hold. It has been doing this since the patch this morning. I have restarted, relogged, etc. Tried it on different pub and imp characters. All have the same problem.
  21. I finsihed the story and no Jaesa alert. I have a few of the old ones though so I am wondering if there is another prerequisite. DS Jaesa ended up being my wife in the story so I don't know why I didn't get the alert.
  22. I highly suggest DO NOT start the new story line. It totally borks your companions. For example, on my Shadow I had Lana at comp level 50. She was the only lvl 50 on this character. She is now in the unavailable section and my next highest character is 10. Good job. I also have C2-N2 in both the available and unavailable sections. I have none of my original companions on my jedi knight available. I made it to Ossus (or tried to launch Ossus) and now my Game crashes when I log into that character. I can't log into another character because it says the one that crashed is still logged in. It is ridiculous that we haven't heard back from the dev team after the 2nd (failed) launch of the patch. For those of you who did not start the new story, lucky you and DO NOT attempt it until things get sorted out.
  23. Yes this is stupid. Why remove the setting? Obviously they cant detect from the browser settings properly. Please tell us how to fix this. Everything looks 1 hour ahead for me and I in in EDT
  24. I agree. The stories don't really make sense for non-force users. They try and make it work by basically giving non-force users "force" powers through the emperor's possession. I don't think it is pulled off very well however. If you look at the origin stories for the others, it just doesn't make sense that you end up as a leader of a Galactic Alliance.
  25. Off the top of my head, the "conquered by xxx guild" message you get when on planet could easily accommodate showing the winner for whatever category of guild the current character is part of. I am not sure about what you mean by the "commanders" part of winning. If the 3 winners per planet thing will be too difficult and guilds don't want to be locked into a particular planet each week, then more planets need to be available each week. Make it 3 per guild size category. That way each guild size still has a choice between 3 planets. Im just spitballing here. There are details that could be worked out. For example, the size check should be done at invasion time. If you lose or gain a bunch of people to change which category you are in during the week, you still stay at whatever category you were in when you invaded. Yes, people could game the system by kicking everyone out and re-adding after invasion but if guilds do this, figure out a way to penalize. Like I said, this hasn't been thought out 100%. Im just trying to throw something out there who say competition can't be fair if a really small guild is competing against large guilds. The people currently winning will say the system is just fine. That is human nature. We all know in reality though that conquest power is controlled by a hand full of guilds. People will join these guilds even if just alts just to get the win. This keeps the larger guilds on top. I don't want to take anything away from the leaders of the larger guilds. The politics and time it takes to run one can be exhausting. However, on the conquest side, it is extremely easy to win with a big zerg guild. You don't even have to try to make top 10. It just happens by the sheer number of people in the guild. The only real competition comes from other large zerg guilds. The small and medium sized guilds are after thoughts. Why not make it so the competition is between similar sized guilds.
