  1. I think it all depends on what time of the day you are playing. From my experience, before lunch (eastern) on weekdays, it is almost always imp v imp unless a guild gets together and forms some groups to make it pop on pub side. At least this is the way it was a month ago.
  2. Didn't know POT5 is that bad against RP'rs. Well that sucks. Some of the best friendliest and supportive people on our server are the RP'rs. You are write about the auto flag. If we were to be merged with a PVE server, we would only lose the open world pvp/ganking. I have been leveling a character or 2 on Harbinger to try out that huge population. I am a pvp'r at heart and that is what I mostly due. To be honest, I haven't missed the open world stuff very much since the warzone queues pop constantly. I don't know what the best answer is other than not doing anything will eventually kill the server off.
  3. Thanks Luniara for trying to setup fun events for the server as a whole. I know there are a few guilds out there doing this and I thank you all for helping keep our server alive.

    I am the GM of The Guardians. I was also the SWTOR division lead up until we completed our Galaxy COnqueror title from Conquest. I stepped down at that time so someone more dedicated to the game daily could run the show in SWTOR. You won't see me running around in an ops group unless it is a guild event. I solo mostly on Yavin. Occasionally the 1 or 2 I group with for warzones might be hanging around. If I jump someone, I don't talk crap unless the other starts it or there is a history there. Yes there are a very few imps (and some pubs when we are on imps) that no matter the numbers or situation, they get jumped. Any GM can tell you that you cannot control the actions of every single member. Are there Guardians that sometime take advantage of unfair situations to gank people? I am sure they are even though we tell people to at least try and make it fair and don't be a d-bag about it unless it is specific people with a bad history. Do we have bad PVP'rs? Yes we do, but they are some of the nicest and most fun people to play with in the game. DO we have good PVP'rs? Sure we do, but a lot of them are off doing different things. Do we have a good ranked team? Not any formal one. We have tried to get our better pvp'rs to dedicate some specific time to form a semi-balanced team, but it never seems to work out to get them in at same time. This is something our new pvp officer is trying to figure out and get going. The problem is finding groups to run against with the crappy population. The Guardians are far from perfect, but our number one goal is for our members to have fun. We do try to enforce some limits, but that is always a fluid situation. If you see Guardians that you think are being d-bags, send a message to Killeshandra or another Guardian officer and they will investigate and take action if it is needed. We do however go under the mantra of red is dead since it is a pvp server. Like I said, it is a fuzzy situation at times. There is a time and place for all the crap talking and such. Its part of the game. We try to keep it fun and not step over that line to it being harassment. We will definitely defend our own if starts up like it did somewhat in this thread and others. I do want to point out though that Q'anora was simply trying to stir up some more open world pvp for the server because without it we are no more than a poorly populated pve server.
  5. IF they could provide a cheaper way to mass transfer and a way to take the Guild resources (Ship, bank, SH's, etc), then I would be all for it. BW needs to get off their *** though and just go ahead and do the merge themselves. If the whole RP tagged versus not is the issue, that is a freaking joke. There is no RP enforced ruleset. They don't even do the basics like name control. Therefore, the RP stamp means nothing. The RP'rs will be able to do everything they do now except with a larger pool of people that might want to RP.
  6. This. Our guild has way too much invested at this point to move in mass. I have been dabbling on Bastion and Harbinger. The queue pops there are incredible compared to Jung Ma. I usually hit Jung Ma first to war zone and do other things with guild such as raiding or flashpoints. If we don't have anything going on and warzone queue times are extra long, I will hop over to get some wz in during my limited play time. They could merge us and POT5 and we still wouldn't be nearly as big as Bastion. However, it would help and I think we would get some players back that don't even hit Jung Ma anymore.

    The Guardians are not the biggest guild on Jung Ma. They aren't even the biggest pub guild. SCW, Remnants of Hope, and Penumbral are much larger. Plus a lot of The Guardians have moved on temporarily to other games or servers to dabble a bit. Like any other larger guild that doesn't just focus on one aspect of the game, The Guardians have players that range from the low end to the high end in pvp. I find it funny that the big bad pvpr's stroke their ego when they are jumping the more pve oriented Guardians in pve gear. Yet when these same trash talkers jump the better Guardian pvp'rs they get their butts handed to them. Flavius, you are one of these people. You get rickrolled when it is pvp'r against pvp'r and YOU are the one who starts bringing in help.

  10. A lot of PvP. When we were actively conquesting, we had at least 10 on pretty much all day from 6am to 1am EDT spiking up to 30 to 40 at times. It was just everyone doing their thing. When we went all out and threw crafting into the mix it was even higher. It took us a while to get the infrastructure in place for crafting and additional leaders to direct things where points were better accumulated, but once we did that it was smooth sailing for the most part. Anyway, we are still competitive in Conquest to get planets missed by members the first time around.
  11. On Jung Ma yes. I didn't check for multiple on Harbinger. There very well could have been multiple even at those high numbers.
  12. The server population is getting ridiculous. WZ queue times are way up even for normals. Group ranked doesn't happen at all unless pre-setup between groups. Solo ranked only happens at specific times and only for an hour or so unless setup before hand. I logged into JM 2 days ago around 6pm EDT. Republic fleet was at 45 people. Imp fleet was at 52. I logged over to Harbinger. Republic fleet was at 143. Imp fleet was at 173. Coruscant had 162. Very sad state of affairs. Combining POT5 and Jung Ma should be a no brainer. What are you waiting for BW. As much as I love PvP and espeically open world PvP, I am really considering just going to one of these higher volume PvE servers. I can deal without open world if it means warzones pop consistently.
  13. I understand Force Storm/Quake is no longer OP like it was before. However, looking at the dmg number tooltips, it still appears to be the best hitting ability when Telekenetic Wave is on cooldown and you have at least 2 people you are hitting with it. Admittedly I currently don't play a Sage that much, but I don't understand the complaining. IF 2 people are close together and Telekinectic Wave is on cooldown, is there another ability to use (even twice based on cooldown and cast time) that would be better dps wise?
  14. The problemis you aren't guaranteed at least 1 armor set. I bought 3 to get a good set. I ended up with 2 security droid mounts, 1 raptor mount, and crappy dyes. Last time I gamble on packs. I should have learned my lesson before when doing this.
  15. No. I want pvp on a pvp designated server. I don't gank. I pvp. I know its a hard concept to understand, but a PvP ruled server should be PvP. If you don't want open world pvp, go play a pve server.

  17. How is it killing a server type? The SWTOR RP servers are RP servers in only name. Nothing is enforced. There are no special rules for that server type. It kills nothing. Tell me, what does the RP server give you that a non-RP server doesn't rules wise? On Jung Ma, there are a good number of RP guilds. Talk to those guild leaders to see what they gain by being tagged RP.
  18. Both servers are bleeding players and queue times are very pathetic for pretty much everything. It really stinks to have to go to another server just to get queue pops for wz and flash points. Ranked only happens in specific times for solo queue and group ranked doesn't pop at all unless preorganized. POT5 and Jung Ma combined would still be much less than what is on Bastion or Harbinger. The only reason I can see people against this is the fact that POT5 is PVP while JM is Rp-PvP. There is no enforcement of RP on the server so having a server designated as Rp-PvP is kind of useless. THe RP'rs will reach out to each other. Typically servers designated as RP enforce specific naming rules and other RP type of items, but obviously this isn't happening. Combining these 2 servers would help both populations and it should be fairly easy to do.

  20. Augment market wont drop that much. What will drop is people earning money off cartel market gear. Friends will be able to pass unbound gear around to design a costume. It doesn't bind it when you add it to your costume therefore, there is no need to buy cartel gear off market any longer for the cool looks.
  21. Actually its a loading screen to go from fleet to hangar bay, then one into your ship, then one out of your ship, then one from the docking bay , then usually one down to the planet. Still not 8 but more than 2.
  22. I have a question about the phrase " as well as the end of the current Conquest Event. ". What exactly does this mean? Each event lasts a week now and will end on that day. Are we getting a new set of events or is the cycle changing?

  24. I am having big time heat/ammo management on my Vanguard playing Tactics. I think things will get better once I get 6 piece set bonus and such, but I was wondering if people could provide any tips. I don't seem to have the problem playing Plamatech nearly as much, but I am really wanting to run with Tactics. I also don't have the issue in PvP. This toon is just starting out to raid so I only have augment 186s with no set bonus at the moment. I know that the last thing you need to happen is to let the resource pool get too low as the regen is less efficient. I want to keep my DPS up but I am wondering if it is as simple as throwing in an autoattack in the rotation at key points to prevent ammo from depleting too fast. Thoughts, tricks, ideas? Thanks in advance.
  25. This is the first game I have played where the guild leader has no way of knowing when members quit the guild unless the guild leader was online and watching guild chat. A notification upon login, or an in game mail, or access to a join/quit log would be very very helpful. As guild leaders, we have access and resources external to the game that need to be handled when a member leads the guild. The current mechanism of member leaving tracking is severely inadequate.
