  1. Hah, this is always very fun thing to happen I enjoyed some Huttball matches against guildie premades. Especially memorable was the first time because several people from the opposing guild premade were very skeptical about my SS-spec Vanguard in a Warzone, claiming "You can't do much except Guard". Their team scored early and expected a landslide win. However we pulled ourselves together and the game went even for 6-7 minutes. During that time I found out what the enemy thinks while playing against an annoying Vanguard. The ventrilo was full with “Oh, ****, he pulled me into the fire again!”, “Kill him, kill him, kill him…why can’t you kill him?”, “You just don’t die, seriously now…you never die”. I managed to carry the ball to their goal line and score with 5 of their team bashing me. And on vent was “Get him quick! He is at half health…wtf, his health total is 21k? Stop him!!!” The advantage they had the entire game was that they had a healer, we didn’t. So at the end I caught the Sage with about 35 % health and locked him to stay on a spot and heal himself to survive. At the same time my team carried the ball to score a winning goal while the other team cried on vent “Wheres our healer? We die too fast.” To which I answered with a sinister “Kekekeke” I even ended the game with 3rd best damage.
  2. Few weeks ago I queued with 2 friends. We get in a Huttball match and we are the only 3 Republic players against 8 Imperials. We laughed and decided to give it a 120 seconds attempt. We get to middle, kill the Imp with the ball and 2 of us Jump/Storm a "smart" Sorcerer who was up on the ledge while his team was down in middle chasing our friend 7vs1 And we score by rushing through the Fire pits with Guard/Defensive CDs Then we got the ball again and the match ended. Also had a couple of 600-0 wins against Impeirlas that were actually fighting back. Some of the most intense 8 vs 4 battles I been into. After those victoires I think the side speeders might be just a bit OP
  3. I can give an estimate of my team strength right at the start. The HP is a dead giveaway. A Commando with 12200 HP, a Guardian/Vanguard with 13 800... Hey, guys, did you replace your lvl 30 gear yet or what? I've seen lots of people leaving just by checking the health bars. Its funny though when a Sage with 11 000 health says "get geared, noobs" and exits However I left a Warzone just 2 times up until now. First was when 2 player deliberately were helping the enemy team by getting escorted to our goal line and passing the ball to them. Second time was when me and a friend were holding a turret against 5 attackers and our 6 allies lost their turret. Not so bad, we recaptured. But after I reminded them to stay close and keep an eye for stealthers, the answer was "l2p". After losing it a second time because they chased a single enemy (all of them visibly moved half way through the map) while others took the gun...well, bye-bye
  4. Started happening to me after the last patch. Extremely annoying. And its only certain players who I can't put a Guard on. No idea what triggers this glitch.
  5. As Vanguard I got Adrenaline Rush, healing me for 15 % of my HP over 10 seconds. I can use the skill every 2 minutes. And I have 21.5k HP. Do the math
  6. Jen Hale does Renegade Shepard much better. Gives you the creeps sometimes. With the Trooper its somewhat watered down. I am not sure exactly what is missing. Maybe the impression that my Trooper doesn't get a kick from harassing the lower masses.
  7. I have a Dark V Trooper. Usually it comes down as this: General Garza: "We know this guy is a traitor, but he is a big politician, so we must act carefully. Here is the evidence. Now go, expose him to the public." Me: <goes to the guy in the Senate> "Traitor" <guns him down in front of the whole planet watching> General Garza: ... Me: What?
  8. Well, I use a SS spec. Its still pretty good in PvP. Since I figured a decent macro rotation I am usually finishing as the top 3 DPS in every WZ, sometimes even as first (mostly when my team sucks). And you should consider that my main goal is always going after objectives first (ending on top of that chart 8/10) and guarding players. As for numbers, I got 8.7 % PvP. Before the 50 bracket I managed to pass the 300k damage on several occasions. Since the bracket I am at around 200k, most of the time sitting at 170k.
  9. While I agree, I imagine its not so easy to implement. Who can stop you to queue without your gear and put it on once you are in? Of course, maybe the game can track if you ever purchased any Expertise, but as said - not sure its easy to do.
  10. Want...no...more...huttball? Re...roll...Republic...
  11. The Empire has more advantages over the Republic right now. Bigger populations is such one. Zerg better I am sure any republic player will trade this Boss mob for your faster ticking turret glitch in Alderaan warzone
  12. I had the same problem several times too. Absolutely no speeder bike is spawned and visible for me after death. Nothing fixes it, you just need to wait and hope they appear before you get kicked out. Its an annoying glitch and sometimes it happens to everyone in your WZ group too.
  13. The speed of the mounts is almost identical. But their strength is vastly different. I did a test with each at an Empire base on Tatooine that has lvl 50 champion guards. Speeder 1 - crash on first blaster impact. Once held till the second shot. Speeder 2 - managed to soak a bit of damage. Once almost got to the middle of the base before sending me on the ground. Speeder 3 - riding through like a champ. Back and forth through both ends of the base with an angry shooting escort on my back. I almost saw how my Trooper was driving while giving the finger to the Imperials. Only once I have been dismounted from Speeder 3. A silly Strong droid on Corellia did a 1k+ shot on me and managed to bring me down. I've taken bigger hits before with no issue. Go figure. I also believe there is no issue with money if you just play the game and follow the quests/flashpoints until 50. Right now I am sitting on an ever growing pile of about 2 million creds that I have no idea what to do with. When I dropped Slicing after the nerf I had around 800k, not even lvl 40. Since then I did two crafts and 3 gathering/mission skills up to 400. I don't even bother selling on the GTN, just NPC everything. Money is easy and worthless in this game, no idea why people struggle with it.
  14. I am really curious to see how the new changes will turn out. The situation on my server is not different than most. Yesterday I go to Ilum, the whole place is Empire controlled. Ok, I am alone and set out to get some objectives done. Blow up 3 tanks and who would of guessed - 30 seconds later the spot is filled with about 40 Imperials recapturing back, begging me to trade for quest. Naturally several red names attack and kill me while the rest scream “noobs” at them. Not a problem, I respawn, repair the turrets at the republic base, try to avoid/sneak past the zerg and slowly do my daily objectives around the map, getting ganked by groups of 3-5 Imps on occasion. With the above experience of mine, I fully expect the new changes to be frustrating for both sides, but mostly to the Republic. Empire players will have to compete for the rare enemy kill and race each other to tank-quest spots that somehow got ninjaed under their zerg noses. The Republic players will try to somehow escape the taxi spot camping and manage to blow up the tanks and run away fast, maybe killing the rare Imp who accidentally lost his zerg buddies. Well, we know Empire has the majority of TOR players. So Bioware intentionally or not makes changes that are favoring the larger population. But hey, don’t forget its very easy to reroll and be 50 in less than a month of casual play. And then who will the Empire fight on Ilum, hmm?
  15. I should roll Empire. Huttball is my favorite. And as a Vanguard I get to play it about 1 out of 10 queues. 5 out of 10 is usually Alderaan, which I find boring already. Voidstar is good, but just not as much fun as The Pit And yes, I love pulling people into the hazards.
