  1. That's because by keybinding M to the regular world map, you unbind it from the other function (the smaller map), which is left without a shortcut unless you give it one. The GSF map opening is bound to the shortcut of the smaller map, so you have to give it a keybind when switching the M key to something else.

  5. Well, I got 2500 requisition which is 1 good game with a single ship that has bonus requisition. If I used more ships, my requisition number would have been higher. Also my hit percentage is 66 which is not so easy to achieve if you switch ships in a game If I was on a T1 gunship I am guessing I could have done way better too in this particular game.
  6. A deathmatch game on half upgraded Condor. Saandrig - Condor - Telcontar's Hope - Red Eclipse - 39 kills & assists Saandrig - Condor - Telcontar's Hope - Red Eclipse - 30 kills Saandrig - Condor - Telcontar's Hope - Red Eclipse - 116 770 damage Saandrig - Condor - Telcontar's Hope - Red Eclipse - 24 kill streak Saandrig - Condor - Telcontar's Hope - Red Eclipse - 13 solo kills
  7. Yes, they could have used some other type of change. For example, each capital ship could use its turrets in different time frame. And that could be sent as a match message like "capital ship B recharged his blasters and is ready to use them in the next X minutes." And something like "Capital ship A needs to recharge them and will not fire for X minutes." Or just give a capital ship that will fire on you a mark on the HUD.
  8. I am exclusive Scout/Gunship pilot. I got over 200 games with each of those crafts. Only once I flew with a Strike Fighter before today and it was a fluke, because I hit "ready" before switching from the default starter craft. That 1 game with a Striker in my Legacy Achievements irked me a bit So, I made a new character today and decided to play only Strike Fighter on it to get the Legacy Achievements for that craft. First game I did on a stock Strike Fighter craft with zero upgrades - top damage in the game for my team (around 28k), top medals (12 I believe), second highest kill score, top on assists and second highest Objective score of my team. We won with about 1000-750. After this experience I do believe its pilot skill that matters the most. And I don't consider myself a great pilot, but I do have a lot of space sims and Freelancer experience Also, I think the Strike Fighter is much easier craft to master than the Scout. The numbers I did with a stock Striker - well, It took me quite a while to get them with a scout
  9. Recruit gear is a starter set. You are now as the level 10-15 players you were wrecking in lowbies while you were in your 40+ level. Yes, you have all your skills, but the other players are better geared and have much more experience. And you have to accept your class is a glass cannon. Even if you get full EWH gear, you will receive 7k hits and die fast when focused for a little. It is not as much as "l2play" for your class, which you should know by now. Its more "l2play" issue about your place in the Warzone food chain. A 2-3 War Hero pieces don't make that much of a difference. You will start feeling a change after getting at least a weapon and 4 armor pieces for the Set bonus. So, with all that above, you probably have to change your attitude and tactics in the Warzones until you get better gear. First off - medals will be your friend. More medals - more commendations. However, in Recruit gear, you are not the lowbie bracket killing machine you used to be. You cannot just go to a level 12 anymore and burst him before he can find his basic attack button to retaliate. Lets see: Use Taunts - every CD and all the time. Ease the pressure from your teammates and grab 2-3 easy Protection medals every single game. Taunting a smasher right before he unloads his LOLskill can net you 2 medals alone. Accept guard duty - yes its boring and your class is not the perfect one to do it, but often you are the weakest link in the team as Recruit. Let the better geared player help crush the opposition while you stay ready to call incomings in chat and delay an attacker as long as you could. Defense medals are among the easiest to get. Do not be a solo hero - yes, you could kill a solo defender easy in lowbies, but now in recruit, you will get laughed at. Stick to your team, peel off attackers from your healer and pay attention to which target your team focuses. Learn to recognize and mark healers. No medals for that last one, but it may help you win. ...and pass the karking ball...
  10. The quests you describe are part of the regular Nar Shaddaa storyline. Your SI story quests should involve two young apprentices of Zash who help you to destabilize Paladius's cult. You missed something somewhere. Check your quest log for your "Class" mission. It should tell you what and where to go.
  11. You must be glitched or something. On my several twinked alts I never experienced this. Every time I put a new Artifact modification, I got bolstered quite well in the WZ. My stats never dropped down and were increased when entering the PvP area. I had a Merc between lvl 45-49 bolstered with 18.5k HP (no End stim), 78 % Surge, 42/35 % Tech/Ranged crit. Unload was hitting any non-tank for a total of 7-8k. My Shadow is sitting on about 18k, my Sorc on 17k. It usually takes 3 people to take such character down unless I face same level twinked players. I would notice if my stats dropped down, because I keep an eye on them. So the problem should be some kind of bug for you. Or you just forget to refresh your stims and your stats drop because of that
  12. Well, I am guilty of that on my Shadow, but there is an excuse in some scenarios. If I remain stealthed, I can mess up with those 2 guys for a long time, CC-ing them out of combat and then delaying them with actual fight until reinforcements arrive. If I break my stealth to help you when the odds are obviously bad, they will just kill me in no time too and cap fast. I should play my lowbies again. So much fun there Especially the stealther in Huttball who says at start "I'll camp their line. Pass to me when you get there." And there he stays whole game leaving us 7 vs 8, then complaining we "just have to walk to him". And the two times I actually managed to pass to his stealthed scrub bottom...you will never guess...he didn't go out of stealth. The comment "Pass more accurate" was the last straw after which I went balistic on him for a few seconds and then all I cared to do was pull him into the fire with my "pull friendly" skill
  13. They will still fail to grasp the basics and probably will keep dying on the explosion, because "needed to get one more hit". Or like ususal will run to the forum crying "Nerf the class that I don't play, buff my class because I can't play it, remove gear gap because I get zero Objectives and no medals for some unknown reason and am still in Recruit."
  14. I could be wrong on this, but there are 4 types of attacks. As you can see on your character sheet, you have tabs for Ranged, Melee, Tech and Force. Dodge protects you only from the first two types. Also I only read about it, never tested it - but Dodge is supposed to give you 100 % extra Defense chance. Which means that if that puts your Defense around 105 %, someone with 106+ % Accuracy can still have a chance to land a hit with Melee/Ranged.
  15. My former pre-50 full purple Power-Surge oriented, 16k+ HP, Focus specced Sentinel would like to have a word with you 5k+ hits were not too common, but I did get them every second game or so. 4.5k+ hits on the other hand I got all the time. Far too easy. I could go against 3 people and kill them if they were bad or even if they had an idea what to do - kill 2 of them before defeated. I have killed people in 3 globals. Though I admit, it used to surprise me when it happened. As I hit 50 I knew it was going to be hard at first. But the 3500 + 2000 saved comms accelerated things. And yeah, Sentinel is a pretty good class right now, hands down. At the end of my lvl 50 evening I had Elite WH main and offhand plus 3 BM pieces. Landed several 5k+ hits, won a bunch of games and already contributed to the team. In a few days already finished full BM gearing, augmented it and honestly - I feel quite competitive. I like both 50 and pre-50 PvP. Funny thing - people play as bad in both
  16. I came to the conclusion that 90 % of the players are scrubs in PvP I mean -- I am your average Joe PVPer and even I can see how many stupid things people do in Warzones. The general mentality is - "why should I bother, there are 7 others that will work this one for me. Me <drool> wanna kill <drool>.". The door thing is one of many. Just yesterday I lost a game because 5 people on my team let themselves get ninja capped in the last 20 seconds of the first round, bomb exploded, counted as breached door. One tiny second. And where were the 5 brave heroes? Chasing kills on the bridge But wait, its get better. Second round - me and another guy draw 4 people on left door, then our 6 geniuses manage to plant a bomb at right door. Five seconds later - "Bomb disarmed"...And there were 2 enemies waiting on spawn and 4 on left side...

    WZ queue bug?

If you at any point go afk and miss the entry window, the game counts you as you accepted but will still show you are in the queue and you wont realize a team somewhere is fighting with 7 people because of this To fix this you need to leave the queue and reapply. Other possibility is that its just another bug.
  18. Gearing up becomes more easy than it used to be (grrr, Champion/BM boxes). Now you practically get a free almost BM grade gear once you hit 50. Which makes you viable against the BM geared people and most of the half WH/BM players. Definitely not going to win on equal skill ground, but there are so many bad PvPers in full WH, that sometimes I wonder why people complain. Even the baddies get geared up decently fast. Its not so bad compared to some other games. AION comes to mind. Where you have to PVE...to get your PvP gear. And in Open PvP you get severe penalties and diminishing returns if you are high rank and try to (gulp) actually PvP to get points for the PvP gear. The time you spend getting 1 piece in Aion is comparable to a full set of BM. Heck I could even compare it to a half WH set.
  19. Oh, look - there is an enemy guy just standing 50 meters away from the turret I am defending and he is scared to come fight me. I'll show him how this is played...chaaaaaarge... (8 seconds later - enemy stealther captures turret). Guys...totally not my fault... Hey, all 7 went to middle turret at the start of Civil War. I am a bit behind, but I will follow them too, because I don't want them to think I am a noob straying away from the collective. Hey, someone says in chat 'west 1". I know he is 1 at west, I see him on my map. All 7 of us at mid see him on our maps. Oh, now he says "west 2". He must be drinking and seeing himself double. All 7 of us are still here in mid. What? Now he just types "4". Man, this guy has the worst graphical glitch ever. (turret lost)...Hey, noob, why you don't defend the turret? Oh, he just quit the Warzone. Probably ashamed of his failure. Dammit with those nerfs to my Vanguard. I can't kill people from range. And now that Assassin ball carrier is right there in our pit. Let me just pull him up with my Harpoon to close the distance and show him who is boss around here...Hey, using Force speed is unfair, stay here...noob... What do you mean you had him Flashbanged into the Fire Hazard? I got a Jump/Ranged skill, I am gonna use it whenever I please. Learn to play your class and dont tell me how to play mine. Nobody can escape my vigilant eye of a hawk. I see all, I defend all. And my front and camera are totally not on the turret/door. I mean, there is no way anyone can sneak behind me and capture, right?...Right? Whaddayamean we lost it a minute ago, I was here the whole time and saw nobody.
  20. Yesterday I was on my Shadow's ship, when I met a Trooper running around with his companion. I was like Then he saw me and the moment I started trying to chat, he used his Emergency Fleet pass and went off. Dont know what this is, probably a bug, but its weird.
  21. All the new tooltip font for skills, items and crafting is horrible. Too small and hard to read. Big strain to my eyes and the only option to fix it "a little" is to lower the graphics. Which in itself is a big "no-no" for a fix. Nothing was wrong with the old font, why even change it?
  22. I never knew that a Powertech can disable the whole team of the ball carrier too, while waiting for his own team to come help Two whole seconds of a slow must last a whole PT rotation too... Needs constant cleansing. Absolutely overpowered compared to the CC, slows and roots the other classes have.
  23. Because the republic shuttle was bigger and higher and you could climb up to its top, then run to the side, jump over the force field before the timer released you and plant the bomb before the enemy is even out of their spawn. If people were fast, they could be capping the second door too before the match even started out. I have seen this being done. Even tried to see if its possible for everyone or was a "/noclip" hack or something. Well, I managed to get out on my own too before the match started and was like . Then had to turn in a report for it with screens.
  24. When the next set of PvP gear becomes available, you will probably gather the current War Hero set in about a week. Just don't PvP until then Do you see me complaining about Battlemaster gear? I hit Valor 60 back when Warzones gave pitiful ammount of it, didn't exploit Ilum and grinded the BM tokens bag by bag after bag and so on and so on. Now everyone gets in a casual week what took me months. But its ok
  25. My level 46 Sentinel is hitting almost 16k HP in Warzones with mostly purple gear/mods and some blue stuff added in. I put on MK-5 kits on every piece of gear and used lvl 45 blue augments. I guess with full purple stuff I will easily get over 16k HP. Also worth noting is that I prioritized Crit/Surge/Power and didn't bother trying to get pieces with more Endurance. So I would guess I can go over 17k+ HP, but then I will lose those 4k+ crits I do on those lvl 40+ Juggernauts And steamrolling some poor people in their teen levels never gets old in MMOs, does it? It was expensive to gear like that. I didn't craft all of the stuff myself and mods on the GTN were overpriced, so it costed me about 2.5 million (counting some purples I have ready up to lvl 49). If you have the money to waste and want to feel superior for about 6-8 levels, go for it.
