  1. CZ-198 Application for position of Security Officer 1. Please tell us a little about yourself. Why do you want to be a part of the Czerka family? A little about myself, my name is Shalassa, and I'm not the sort of person to beat around the bush with fancy words, usually gets in the way of the job . I'm interested in money and prestige, and Czerka has both. That's the kind of 'family' I care about most. 2. At Czerka, we pride ourselves on our accomplishments. Please name three of your accomplishments that you are most proud of. (Please do not include family milestones such as marriages or the birth of your children.) Accomplishments. I have many. Asking me to choose three is a tough call. I'd have to say that getting into the Great Hunt would have to be one of those, along with actually surviving. I guess that only counts as one of the accomplishments you're asking for though. I did some work for the Hutts in taking down the Exchange, I'd have to say that the ambushes I organised on their shipments were more than just a little successful. I even managed to worm out a bonus for my work from those worms, I guess you could say that's an achievement in and of itself. I also got to do some work for House Thul on Alderaan, managed to stop an assassination attempt on Elana Thul, nice enough lady but the money was nicer. 3. How did you go about achieving the accomplishments above. Would you say you would do "whatever it takes" for success? I do whatever it takes to survive and get paid. In the Great Hunt I was beaten, but that is not shameful. I survived where others died, and now I can ask for more credits when I take a job, because my employers know that my achievements are worthy of it. When I take a job, I see it through to the end, and beyond if needed. You pay me, and it'll be done. There's nothing more that needs to be said. 4. Would you say you have a strong moral compass? Do you think this could get in the way of your job, should you be asked to do something...questionable? I do what I'm asked, my feelings are secondary when there's money involved. I'll get what you want done, anything unspecified is up to my compass. That's as much leeway as I give the damned thing. 5. You are about to enjoy our wide variety of complimentary cocktails and snacks, when you notice that your esteemed colleague's newest experiment is likely to break out of their confines while you are gone. How would you handle this situation? I'd handle it personally. That kind of thing always needs the personal touch, I'd stop sitting on my *** enjoying myself and keep that experiment in its place by whatever means necessary. I'd ask for extra compensation though, since it's coming out of my free time. Don't expect me to do anything for free.
  2. I suck at PVP but I really want all that beautiful gear that everyone gets from it. However is it worth watching my *** get handed to me every five seconds and then have people whining about what a n00b I am? Maybe I've missed something, but I'd just like a really hard PVE area where I can get gear that at least looks like the beautiful stuff you can get PVP. I don't mind too much if it's not as powerful, but at least I won't feel like I'm utterly useless getting it.
  3. There's nothing worse then reaching the final boss in a mission chain, only to have it stolen from you, not my another PC, that I can handle because I just have to wait for respawn, but by NPC allies attacking it. There's nothing I can do to stop them. Restart the mission and oh crudmuffins, it happens EVERY SINGLE TIME. Why? Because I'm only one person getting attack by a whole mob of enemies and there's about 5 'helpful' npcs firing at the boss because NOTHING is attacking them. Please take out the NPCs that can steal all the experience, it would make me cry with frustration just that little bit less. Oh, and people telling me when I put a ticket in about this that 'Everything is working as intended' and that I 'just have to beat the boss myself' doesn't make me feel any better. Ok? Maybe you could change that too.
  4. I have no idea what this post is about, all I can think of when I see Assassins in this thread is 'HAHAHAHA A S S TANKS.'
  5. Uhh yeah, that might be your problem... lol.
  6. Are you light or dark side? Because I have heard that dark siders can't romance her.
  7. Okay, just finished the bit that everyone is talking about, and honestly it seems to be a loose end. I'm not going to go into detail, I don't like dropping spoilers but for me this bit isn't resolved and does seem like a bit of a plot hole, in a sense that the resolution isn't satisfying or believable. However it still doesn't explain why everyone wants to punt him out the airlock. Since it still feels exactly like I expected it to feel.. perhaps a better dialogue would make it feel complete, but this hasn't effected my view on his character or the romance at all. I'm still a bit confused about all this, well since it isn't hate, I'll say anger.
  8. Actually that's the thing I'm not. I'm actually perhaps the worst player of games ever. I play everything on easy mode where possible, and I managed to get through this battle without looking at the forums once. Usually I'm all over the internets trying to figure out a loop hole, but nope. I died the first time, popped a presence stim, kicked *** the second time. I don't know, maybe I'm just a lucky bastard, but this wasn't hard for me at all. I'm a marauder with Quinn kitted with all the latest stuff they give me in the Voss quests for him, and that's about it.
  9. Are you kidding? That fight was a cake walk.
  10. Not sure what the problem is with this quest? Just did it on my second try, just pumped a presence stim and popped my buffs after each other along with heroic moment. Did this with Quinn level 47 marauder with Carnage spec.
  11. As a marauder this should be smooth sailing so long as you have Quinn and pop your protective abilities quick smart (saber ward and then cloak of pain one SW expires), make use of your fury as soon as you activate and just keep on top of your ability cool down. Sometimes taking out the smaller mobs before the big bosses works, however I found that sometimes that approach just fails spectacularly. Also heal between waves, though that should be a bit obvious. Anyone who says this quest is far too hard is an idiot, it's challenging but not impossible. Since I'm basically the biggest failure at games (easy mode is my best friend XD) and I managed through it without the forums.
  12. Yeah, you've just done the convo wrong, what you should have done is used escape to leave the conversation each time you make the wrong choice and eventually you'll figure out how to get the beast to back down. Buuut since you didn't do that, I have no idea what you should do, I never had to face it since I just got it to back down
  13. I really don't understand all this hate. Quinn does exactly what you expect him to do, if he hadn't done it there would be a real disappointment there.
  14. Just got married! My heart is now goop, damnit bioware, this happens with every love interest I come across!
  15. Personally I've found the marauder to be unstoppable, at 50 it has some of the best little nifty tricks that everyone ignores but get useful at high level. Specifically the Fury powered abilities, you get 3 buffs to choose from and can keep popping like there's no tomorrow. Pair up with Quinn and you'll go through mobs like a boss, haven't gone through PVP but found it to be more than adequate in flashpoints and heroics. Haven't played Juggernaught so unfortunately I can't really compare, hope my idiocy helps!
  16. Quinn in my opinion is the most unique love interest in the whole game, I never seen a game where a male LI for women has been the less dominant partner. I'm tipping my hat to them too!
  17. I can hardly wait either, and I haven't even finished the romance yet! I'm just so excited about the possibilities that Quinn brings to the table. So many people are willing to ignore Quinn altogether - but as soon as I talked to the Moff that's on Quinn's tail I was utterly sold. I couldn't stop laughing, the lines were so well delivered...
  18. Though that said there are a whole crapload of dark side options that get to a point of outrageous, like some of the things you can do to Vette if you feel like it are... well, sickening. I think the Devs have done a pretty good job on the whole with Light/Dark balance. >_> However this is slightly off topic. The prequels don't exist in my corner of the universe, just like there's only three Indiana Jones movies. I refuse to acknowledge certain movies as canon when their existence brings nothing to the series. But um, yeah now I'm going off topic again! It seems sad that spoilers for Quinn's storyline are rife on the web, I'm sure if more people got to it without knowing before hand (I mean, suspecting is one thing, but knowing for certain is a game changer I've found) they might see it with very different eyes. Throughout the game Quinn is shown to be a man of principles that he will not break for anything. He doesn't care if sticking to those principles ruins him, however it does give him a fundamental weakness, as I've discussed before. Um, oh right, I digress. Well, the choice that was taken out of the game, I heard gave more resolution, but since I haven't gotten to that point in the game itself I can't really comment on whether it feels resolved or not. I'll be sure to post with my opinion when I do, and it'll probably be as rambling as this!
  19. Blue and red, one signifies my peace and tranquility as a light-sider, and the other symbolises my unwavering faith in the Empire and all it stands for.
  20. I didn't realise at first, but I knew he was a liability, all you'd have to do was convince him an action was good for the Empire and you could get him to kill his own mother. However I found that fact so obvious I didn't even pay attention to it until I got spoilers. I completely understand that view though, his transfer to the ship does seem a bit incongruous, and I'd actually like to see more options in the game to refuse certain companions. but then that might unbalance the game. I heard that originally you could kill him off however so many idiots complained that 'WHAT? Killing him actually KILLS HIM???" that they took the option out. I think a lot of people would be happier if that option had just been kept in the game....
  21. I just don't understand the shock around it, since it makes complete sense to me >_> I know, most people go 'Oh, but my love should conquer all!' but that's just not how it works. Yeah, it seems with most of the LI companions there's not much middle ground, because the LIs are so fleshed out to appeal to particular types of people, since you can't exactly make a LI that appeals to everyone. For example, Corso Riggs is loved by many women for his kind and chivalrous nature, however anyone who feels that his kind of chivalry is sexist soon find Corso to be just a big blot on the landscape. Baaack on topic however, as a Quinn lover who doesn't know many people IRL who play OR, I find it hard to understand the haters, simply because the plot 'hole' that people hate so much makes so much sense to me... maybe I'm just easily pleased or an idiot...or more likely both, but yeah. I just want to get the point of view of people who hate him so that I can understand I guess.
  22. I love pretty much all the love interests I've met except Jorgan, but that's not what I'm here to talk about, I'm here to talk about Quinn. He's aware that he's not even close to your power, he knows at a drop of a hat you could crush his throat without a second thought, but still he loves you, and feels no shred of jealousy. In fact he is awed, and that's something I can't get over. Most Imperial underlings I assume would resent the power the Sith have over them, but Quinn isn't that type at all. Quinn is a bit of fresh air while still being an atypical Imperial. You don't expect his honourable tendencies amongst his unscrupulous actions (he will, at the drop of a hat, do anything it takes to serve the Empire), he talks about his previous leader, Moff...Dracen? I don't remember his name, but never do you get a real feeling of resentment. The feeling I got from him was that while he still felt perhaps a small amount of anger towards the events that took place, all in all he's moved on from that and accepted his lot in life. Now that he has freedom again however, he's willing to see possibilities that he never dreamed, possibilities like you. That's just the feeling I get from Quinn, that before you came to Balmorra he had lost his drive, he had been dealt a poor hand and thought that was the end of the matter, but fate dealt him his wild card. And what a wild card it is, Quinn obviously doesn't know how to deal with women, I would assume that his number of serious relationships before the Sith Warrior is about 0. He's conflicted with protocol and his feelings, perhaps for the first time in his life, and the voice acting carries this across superbly. I'm going to kiss you now, my Lord I haven't gotten very far with the romance, no where near the end bit which I have heard enough spoilers about and won't trouble people with them. I am actually excited to follow this relationship, unlike the only other character I've gotten up to level 44 - my trooper who I stopped playing when the Jorgan romance activated. That felt forced, that felt terrible, it made me lose all my interest in my trooper. I'm now waiting for same gender relationships to kick in so that I can romance Dorn. Maybe I just like British accents? Oh well, there's something about Quinn that makes my heart melt, and really I couldn't care what it is really. So apart from me rambling, I'd just like to know if anyone else felt the same about Quinn
  23. Pffft, Pureblood Knights are where its at! Get with teh times bro.
