  1. I've always thought somebody holding two lightsabers looks eminently silly. The choice was almost completely an aesthetic one. I've never regretted the decision, though.
  2. Level 1-44 currently, and im a juggernaut. hybrid immortal/vengeance build. Since I left Korriban with her I havent used anybody but Vette. I keep her geared and she absolutely melts opponents. I never reached a point where I felt like I needed a healer, even on some harder story bits. I feel that with the series of defensive cooldowns the class gets, plus the use of an occasional medpak [im biochem] the two of us are pretty near unstoppable. I do occasionally manually direct her in combat, which perhaps makes some difference, but the damage she provides has always been a welcome addition to my repertoire. Shes like a cannon i drag around behind me. I light the fuse and then jump into battle.
  3. Hey folks Played a juggernaut to 50, rolled a mercenary for my next story playthrough. All the tasty-looking low-tier stuff seems to be in the arsenal tree, but judging by all the angry static im hearing from everybody about what theyve done to tracer missile and heat seeking missile, i was wondering if i should just go pyrotech instead. dots are cool by me. so, that said, could i get some feedback on the viability of lvling as pyrotech? is it doable? is there a certain tier where its best to just switch over from arsenal to pyrotech? thanks in advance!
  4. Here's what I use: http://www.torhead.com/skill-calc#101RMGzuzZcGRMM0zZ0M.1 I'm only lvl 43 and I've only used it through flashpoints, mind you, but its always been perfect.
  5. From the start I turned off the light and dark side indicators with my warrior. I just tried to make what I felt was the most reasonable decision in every situation, and build his personality from there. Amusingly, I ended up completely neutral till the end of tattooine, when i finally started drifting more towards light side. Frequently, Ive found as the story has progressed, the light side decisions just tend to be smarter. You spare people who could be useful to you later. You manipulate situations for the best possible outcome rather than just beating everyone into submission. LS sith warrior seems like a much deeper and more believable character than DS. He actually starts to be recognizably human - downright intelligent as well as a face-melting bada**. In short - go DS if you really want to kill every last person you meet. Go LS if you want to be the sharpest knife in the drawer.
  6. Just curious as to most folks decisions. I've been using a yellow crystal ever since the black talon. My juggernaut was pure neutral [completely by accident] up until Tattooine - I just chose what I thought was the most reasonable decision in every event and ignored the alignment impact. I've since drifted more towards light side, but I still see myself as pretty agnostic as far as the light/dark allegiance goes - even after they removed the force restrictions, yellow seems to signify that neutrality. Anybody else?
  7. go vengeance, use a dps companion and be biotech if youre worried about healing
  8. Hoth is where you start getting a lot of elemental/internal/whatever damage. I'm a juggernaut too - we re tough as nails against vanilla damage but that **** cuts right through our damage reduction. Start using your defensive cooldowns more often - saber ward and such - other than that just be aggressive and take on fewer enemies at once.
  9. he was a beast and a half - first time i had to use my heroic moment in 20 levels. made me proud to also be a juggernaut.
  10. "cooler skills/attacks" may generally be true, but I absolutely despise the animation for rocket punch. I had planned, before launch, to play a Powertech, but once I saw the animation I deleted the character and rolled a Juggernaut. I would love for them to implement some way to cross factions permanently in the future. A LS Sith, for instance, going full jedi.
  11. I'm only 38 now, so I can't say what I'll be doing at endgame, but I'm a hybrid immortal/vengeance juggernaut and I've exclusively used Vette during the entire game. I like her sassy personality, she puts out fantastic damage, and frankly I"ve never felt I needed heals or someone to take the damage instead of me. Every other companion just hangs out on the ship - i dont really foresee any of them getting off of it any time soon either.
  12. ive actually heard some pretty persuasive talk lately about playing a viable [and arguably better] vengeance tank using soresu form if you just put enough talents in immortal to get up to "invincible," then place the rest in the vengeance tree [avoiding shien form, naturally].
  13. I'm vengeance spec, and I exclusively use Vette. She puts out obnoxious damage - I've never had a problem with a fight yet, between my big cooldowns and the occasional medpac. I honestly can't remember the last time something took me down.
  14. you can get a gigantic double-bladed one from the commendation vendor on tatooine. i had to use that for awhile because ive been neutral. i didn't realize all higher end sabers would have force requirements. i want some grey sith love from bioware.
  15. Ymir Norse mythology, the first frost giant
