  1. Why is it my 208 pvp gear will give more damage than 216 pve gear? I'm assuming that I rip mods to max both equivalently. Still, the 216 pve gear is lacking in power and the increase in mastery is not enough to make up for it. Plus, there is no set bonus on the 208 pve gear bought with crystals from vendors, so my question is why anyone would ever bother with 216 pve gear when comparably modded 208 pvp gear is actually more base damage AND has a set bonus.
  2. I'm killing Kaliyo the first chance I get with no regrets and zero remorse.
  3. @XNakaaX, Danke für das. Ich werde es versuchen.
  4. maDskiLL, thank you so much for your post. I implemented the first part, making sure my CPU's cores were being utilized properly in the advanced settings in the boot menu. I'm unable to implement the priority and affinity settings because for some reason my Windows 7 tells me I'm not allowed to change those settings. Maybe some User Account Control issue, not sure. However, just the one change, in advanced settings of boot menu let me realize a doubled framerate on Odyssen. I have yet to try a warzone but I'm very much looking forward to it. Thank you. I've struggled with low FPS for years in this game and others and apparently part of the issue is that I wasn't utilzing both cores in my CPU correctly. This fix solved that. Now both my cores run the same temperature (previously one was always 2 or 3 degrees hotter than the other), AND the best thing is that my CPU temperature went DOWN not up which was sort of unexpected but well received. Someone should seriously sticky this thread.
  5. I feel pretty sure this is foreshadowed at the end of an earlier chapter, maybe chapter 4 or 5, if I recall. I remember the cutscene with Satele Shan overlooking the Odyssen base talking to Marr wasn't the first time I had seen her in cutscene in KOTFE. I'm not certain if Marr was visible in the earlier cutscene of if maybe it was just his voice talking to her.
  6. /signed and fully endorsed as a brilliant suggestion.
  7. For historic reasons as people have said, because population used to almost justify the number of servers. Since then there have been mergers and there should now be more mergers to alleviate low population on some servers. But having multiple servers still is of benefit to the player because you want to play on the one physically nearest you, the one that gives you the lowest ping ingame, which you can check near your ingame minimap. If you try to play on a server thousands of miles away from you, you will experience ingame lag that, in PVP at least, will put you at a significant disadvantage. Shop around for low ping and note your contentedness with game will increase.
  8. I enjoy finding Lore items because I think the quality of the writing is one of the best things about the game. I wish more such breadcrumb trails of facts led to in-game easter eggs. I'm not really a completionist and I doubt I've gotten all datacrons because I don't have the title for that yet, but the coolest "hidden" easter egg / secret stuff I found was on Hoth and it's a datacron you have to recharge in order to use. It gives +4 Mastery. Near the Star Fortress shield array on Hoth, there is a Champion level Ancient Probe Droid running around pretty close to the edge of the map boundary. When you destroy it, it drops a Depleted Datacron. You can't GTN it; I tried. You can however take it over to the enormous downed ship in the Ship Graveyard, the Star of Coruscant. There, there are two entrances into the ship from the western side of the ship. Take the Northernmost of those two entrances. In the first room there, there is a catwalk. On that catwalk is a terminal with a clickable thing. Click it. Your Depleted Datacron will become a +4 Mastery datacron.
  9. This is a really big bug. I'm surprised they haven't patched in a fix for it yet. If I were a crafter of items I'd be upset. I don't think I'd be able to sell much either.
  10. Yeah this is a very annoying thing EA did by forcing a romance basically in what could reasonably be viewed as a time for a strategic meeting with either your longstanding ally in your own faction or your less longstanding ally of the opposing faction. I took the opportunity to confer with Theron because I wanted to get information about the whereabouts of Satele Shan because of the cutscenes that indicated Darth Marr was conferring with her from beyond the grave. I also figured that as brokering alliances and balancing opposing interests is a theme of this KOTFE expansion, it would be strategically most sound to attempt to pay attention to the NPC from the Repubic, since I am Sith. Unfortunately the game now when I mouse over Courting gifts with Theron as companion, my game thinks I've turned into a lightstepper. It breaks my immersion and is personally offensive to me.
  11. Yep, that's her name. Thank you. It had slipped my mind. http://www.idigitaltimes.com/star-wars-force-awakens-tv-spot-who-maz-kanata-and-why-she-speaking-new-episode-vii-488589
  12. I just read this whole thread and it seems that allowing Valkorian to channel his power to/through you twice will remove your ability to refuse his power later, and that if you kneel to him during your first scene with him that itself counts as bending to his will so if you do kneel then you only get one shot to use his power before you're unable to refuse him. I didn't actually know it was possible to beat Heskal if you refused Valkorian's power. Though the fight was not hard it seemed to me at the time as though it was scripted to make you accept his power to push a plotpoint. This appeared borne out to me in later scenes when it was my accepting of his power there that eventually let everyone realise what Heskal did, that Valkorian lived on inside my mind. I now regret accepting his power there because as a dark side sith, keeping secrets is something I tend to do, while giving away my strengths reveals to others potential vulnerabilities. I hadn't actually planned on taking any alts through KOTFE but I think based on this thread I may take my sniper through KOTFE and try to see if I can prevent any of the NPCs from realizing I have a head-Valkorian at all.
  13. Google search on Red Cross Camp Deaths Total before you parrot propaganda.
  14. After further consideration of your weird sort of post earlier, I revisited your original post, quoted above, and it dawns on me that you are actively defending ninjalooting. You claim that Master Loot = gibsmedats for the raid leader, whereas everyone else in party understands that there are agreed upon rules for item distribution and that the raid leader is essentially holding items in escrow, but that you still have a right to items, to the extent that you do if any, according to the rules set in the raid. Master Looter is not a license to steal.
  15. People should play stealth classes. Stealth classes are awesome. This is yet another reason why.
  16. Hey, OP said he was talking about a ninja. I proceeded with the assumption that he knows what he's talking about and that he has identified a gear stealer, or a person who misrolls Need on something out of class. You want to talk about minutiae about gear rolling rules and that stuff you typed out has nothing to do with what I posted. If a person is a gear ninja, a stealer of drops, that person needs to be publicly named and shamed in order to do a service to the rest of the server.
  17. I don't now how to check for achievements until I actually unlock them but I can add that I've found multiple datapads of Zakuulian poetry on the various star forges and even though most are highlighted to indicate I can click on them, clicking on them doesn't do anything. I'm assuming they're all multiple copies of the same poem, spread around a bit to make it easier for some people to find and get that achievement. Also a lot of the stronghold decorations I get from Star Fortress runs, maybe all of them, have a two day timer indicating that in two days the item will be bound to me. What's amusing is that, since I don't use a stronghold at all, I tried to GTN them and it's not allowed. Assuming the message about binding to me in two days isn't a lie, I vendored them for around 5k credits each because they're of no use to me unless I can sell them. I've had people explain to me what Prestige is and I still can't see how it has any value whatsoever.
  18. Naming and shaming is the only way to deal with ninjas. They can always get a name change and then just start their old tricks again, but at least naming and shaming them will make them have to spend money, ingame or otherwise, to do that. Since forum doesn't allow you to name and shame gear-stealing theives presumably, I'd recommend naming and shaming them in general chat on Fleet and also on Odyssen, say once an hour for twentyfour hours at each location.
  19. Buy massive amounts of Cartel Packs off the GTN and stash them or open them and list their contents on the GTN. Or you could take the opportunity now to do any gear tweaking or augmenting or maxxing you might have difficulty doing with only a 350k credit cap later. You could also spread your ingame credits around amongst your alts so that they each have 350k when you go Preferred, rather than having millions held in escrow while finding later some not oft-played alts were penniless.

    Lokin

Yeah right, if happen to have like 6 or 8 stacks of 99x Metamorphic Cell Cultures laying around. I'd expect a lot of people don't.
  21. Oh that's interesting. I think I actually only used his power once, if I recall. But that's interesting that we had different outcomes. It seems in KOTFE some choices really do matter.
  22. Well in the real world actual experimental testing beats theorizing. I merely wished to share the results of me actually swapping in various amounts of alacrity in order to assist the OP of this thread. He said he was interested in PVP.
  23. This is not only an oversimplification, but it is in fact false. At lvl 65 with 3 alacrity mods I can get by with rarely being out of MP in WZs, pulling usually top damage on my team. With 4 alacrity mods and .4 added to my cast speed (get .1 per mod at lvl 65), I could spam lacerate nearly indefinitely with only a tiny pause between casts. If I used 5 alacrity mods which I wouldn't because my crit would suffer too much, I could literally spam it indefinitely.
  24. Not an agent exclusive bit of dialogue about the kowaki monkey lizards being morphed into little rakghouls by Lokin. I play an Inquisitor and got the same exact convo.
