  1. I think you'll find that you're not hitting all of the mobs in a group. If you get the first hit on a mob, it's yours. You will get the credit for the kill, even if you only did 1% of the damage. If you're not, try throwing down some AoE to make sure all of the mobs in a group are tagged to you. Yes, you're probably right in asking them to stop if there stealing mobs in a group that you haven't hit yet, but they can't 'steal' mobs from you in the sense that you seem to describe in your OP.
  2. James Ohlen said a lot of things.
  3. As much as I don't care about Cathar themselves, if they're not free for subscribers, I'm done.
  4. It's pretty pointless. True casuals won't care whether or not people that put more time in have better gear. In fact, you could say that it hurts true casuals. If they're only able to play for one week of the month, for example, but they have unlimited play time for that week, there's still no way for them to catch up on the three caps that they missed out on.
  5. In that case, a lawsuit probably wouldn't be upheld and it's just a dick/lazy move on EA/Bioware's part not to remove the part about early access altogether.
  6. I actually don't care about early access, but if the advertisement stated 'Pre-Order now for early access' after the Jan 7th deadline, it's false advertising, regardless of any fine print. It's like advertising a game with a free, real life pony, then adding a disclaimer that the pony is fake. The fact that they're offering a free, real pony is what grabs the consumer's attention and makes them interested in the product. Adding fine print to state that the offer does not, in fact, include a real, live pony, is false advertising. And yes, it can be punished in court, depending on whether or not the judge thinks that the advertisement would mislead a common individual.
  7. I'd just like to pop in here and represent the people who didn't want to blindly throw money at EA/Bioware and aren't complaining that they don't have early access. Because those people exist. I think there's at least two of us.
  8. They have the metrics, and the metrics told them that 'many, many' people did not use them, hence their removal.
  9. I started patching GW2 well after I was getting 50KB/s patching SW:TOR. There was no change in SW:TOR's patching when I began GW2 patching.
  10. That makes no sense; the abilities weren't usable in PvP anyway.
  11. Those abilities were removed from every class because they were deemed utterly useless wastes of space.
  12. Currently patching GW2 at 1.2MB/sec, SW:TOR at 40-50KB/sec. There is a problem, it is not on our end. Just because the problem does not exist for you, does not mean that the problem does not exist.
  13. I'm downloading slow as ***** too. No, it's not on my end, everything else has been downloading fine for me recently, as have all previous SW:TOR patches.
  14. Also, unless something has changed, Tionese will be gone with 2.0. Some of the sets look nice.
  15. I was going to say the same about EA, but I see that you've already done that. Anyway, in case people haven't seen it, is the full video on player housing (and here is the video on it, with more details), and here is the for the game (there are also faction trailers and gameplay segments on their youtube channel). Honestly, I'm most intrigued by the sense of humour, which the housing and guild-vs-guild build your own battleground type thing being icing on the cake. Also, judging by the devspeak video, the humorous aspects aren't just people saying 'hey, we should make the trailers funny, that'll sell'. The dev actually has a sense of humour. I'm optimistic, at this point. Might bite me on the ***, but oh well.
  16. I know it's an April Fools joke and all... But doesn't have a link to downloading the game constitute false advertising?
  17. So do only class quests. I guarantee you'll stay under-levelled regardless of double xp and you can have all the challenge you like. Don't want to miss the side-quests/world quests? Never fear! You can either a) wait until double xp weekends are over and roll an alt for doing all of the content or b) roll an alt and only do world/side quests during double xp. The solutions are simple. There is literally no reason to complain about double xp. It's entirely possible that making double xp optional would require more work than it's worth, no doubt creating a new bug where your lightsaber turns into a lollipop and your guns shoot mini sandwiches.
  18. Since when does complaining = trolling?
  19. I came off as upset? That's odd. I thought I sounded vaguely annoyed. Hence the 'well that's annoying'. I'm surprised this got any responses at all tbh, but the whole story is there now. I just had nothing better to do than come and make a thread about it during the 5 minutes I couldn't re-enter WZs. Funny. You couldn't deduce that healing doesn't stop you from being vote-kicked in PvP from 'Healing Doesn't stop Vote-Kick? Well that's annoying. Edit: In PvP.' You may want to take some reading comprehension lessons, friend .
  20. It is also entirely possible that this was during a <50 Warzone. (It was during a <50 Warzone).
  21. Watchamacallit (Pylon WZ), got in half way through. Was keeping two people alive mid. Too busy healing to notice the 'you will be vote kicked in 30 seconds if you don't defend a node/attack someone' message. Get kicked, despite clearly contributing to the WZ.
  22. Roll a new character if you don't want to skip the truckload of side quests and planet quests that most of us are already sick of.
  23. I'm talking about back when Makeb was first announced. Bioware/EA wanted us to pre-order before a certain date in order to get the 5 day early access, yet the released virtually no information other than level 55. I wanted to be sure that they'd be actually expanding the game before I went ahead and pre-ordered, so I waited until 2.0 was on the PTS; after the early access granting date.
