  1. Wow what a great idea, why even bother having forums if players can't come to discuss anything. I guess I could have just asked in general chat in game and the normal response would be "google is your friend". BTW, I did look at the armor pieces and put aside some numbers the sets would give me but like I said, it's nice to know I can mix-match the weaponmaster/challenger, which I found out only from people being helpful on here
  2. Well that's really good to know you can mix-match the challenger/weaponmaster set and still get the bonus. That makes it a whole lot easier to know which pieces to get now. I didn't like the idea of having 2 or 3 pieces look nice but then not being able to get the 4 piece bonus set if I decide to go with another type of armor
  3. Well the Vindi set for some reason gave more Strength and Power versus the Weaponmaster set which gave more crit, but like I said this was pre 2.0 so I'm not sure what is the best set now since Weaponmaster has that nice bonus set. I'm basically not trying to have to buy multiple pieces and min-max the gear like we've had to do since launch, but I have a feeling we will still probably have to do that
  4. So before 2.0 the Vindicator set seemed to be the best set for Sentinel even though it was Heavy Armor, which means I had to pull the pieces out and put them in Medium Armor to get the set bonus and stats. I was just curious is that still the case? I see there are new sets of armor and the set bonuses are nice but I'm confused which set would be better for Sentinel
  5. False advertisement is still false advertisement no matter what way you look at it. I unusbbed in October, looked at some stuff about the expansion in late February which got me slightly interested enough to resub and purchase the expansion on the premise "Pre Order", as in you purchase it before the content is released, would get early access. If I knew this, I would have not even bother resubbing and buying the expansion, I could have just gone Premium on Battlefield 3, a game which I actually enjoy. And the content I would have got from Battlefield is way more than this crap, reading about people clearing the expansion content at lvl 52, not even a full 5 levls worth
  6. So I bought Rise of the Hutt Cartel in March under the assumption that the advertising which stated "Pre Order to get early access" would give me early access, which obviously didn't. Now people in fleet are saying that early access ended in January. Next time don't bother advertising crap which is very misleading. I'm already regretting subbing to this game and even buying the expansion.
  7. I'm usually the first to call out and grief a team if they're doing something stupid. And most of the time I get the team yelling back at me. But if somebody doesn't get these kids to fall in line and realize what they're doing is wrong how will they ever learn to use their heads in warzones. Stupid things I love to call out are: 1. Players that are nothing but lemmings, they have no concept of not leaving 1 player solo to defend a node/pylon/door. These are the guys who do nothing but follow the crowd trying to get their shots in while they leave 1 person to defend a node and they get burn down by 2 or 3 stealthers 2. Healers are marked for a reason, burn them down instead of the Jugg or Tank that's guarding the healer. I swear nothing bugs me more than seeing 2 or 3 people attacking a tank and right next to said tank is the marked healer just laughing and healing away. 3. Players who decide to play Deathmatch instead of Huttball. Another quirk of mine is players who have no concept of how to play Huttball. In Huttball there's really only 3 things you need to do 1- Stay ahead of the ball carrier so he can pass it to you. Having 4 or 5 players all huddling around the ball carrier will not make him stay alive any longer (unless you're a healer) 2- If the opposite team has the ball you shouldn't be me dueling off to the side while the ball carrier is making his way to score on your team. Always focus on the ball carrier or a person ahead trying to receive a pass 3- And for crying out loud, learn to pass the ball. I don't mind if squishy classes grab the ball and run it towards the goal. But if you are getting burned down by 2 or 3 people don't hold the ball till you die, pass it off to a tank who's actually made for tanking. It's so annoying watching a scoundrel or commando walking to the endzone just to end up dying and thinking he was somehow going to live when 4 or 5 guys are attacking him
  8. I'm surprised nobody has mentioned the aspect of Imperials doing mostly Elemental damage (which isn't mitigated by armor) versus the Republic players doing mostly Kinetic/Energy damage (which IS mitigated by armor). Now I personally haven't worked on any of my Imperial characters yet, but I do have people in my guild which say doing PVE content is way easier on the Imperial side do to this. Also they do mention that most of the Imperial gear is better looking than most of the Republic stuff, but once again I'm going off what my guildies have told me not through personal experience
  9. Until I see everything the F2P model has to offer, I won't be like these typical lemmings and say "oh now the game has really failed". I'll just wait and see how it turns out
  10. What a bunch of lonely souls, hanging around the forums of a game you obviously don't like just to trash it
  11. If it becomes P2W Bioware and EA can suck my....nevermind but yeah I will quit this game till a private server opens up
  12. Yeah I can't freakin believe they've had so many maintenance's in the last week. It's almost like planning ahead to not even be able to play those hours. I'm still pissed they haven't sent any email regarding transferring my characters from Jung Ma over to The Bastion
  13. Well I finally just clicked all the Flashpoints in the Group Finder even though I haven't run Kaon and I don't like doing False Emperor. Did another random HM, Maelstrom Prison, and finally got credit for the daily. Maybe you need to have all of the Flashpoints selected, which I think is stupid because what if you only need gear from 1 of them On a separate note, in the Group Finder it says "Daily Quest" to run Eternity Vault or Karagga's Palace on Story mode to receive 5 Black Hole Comms. Does that mean those Ops have their lockout reduced to a day or is it just bad wording in Group Finder?
  14. I had all of the HM's except False Emperor and Kaon Under Siege picked and it randomly put us into Esseles. Still no credit for the quest
  15. How many HM's do you have to run through the Group Finder to get the Black Hole reward comms? I ran Taral V and Esseles both HM using group finder and still didn't receive the reward. There's also no quest in the quest log so I'm not sure if I need to do every single HM or what
