  1. This is especially annoying in PvP, where the 'corpse' jumps all over the place and you can't tell when it's moving and when it's still.
  2. Eh, I'd rather give them a chance, assuming everyone else in the group is geared enough to make up for it. So long as the guy isn't causing wipes/isn't being abusive, it's not going to add any significant amount of time to the run. For example, I was doing Hammer Station one night and we were completing it with relative ease. We got to the bridges and the sniper that wasn't me knocked a robot into the gap. I'd been considering doing exactly the same thing, as I wasn't aware that it wouldn't die (sometimes things do, sometimes they don't). As soon as we got to the other side, the tank/healer vote-kicked the other sniper. He was slightly less geared than me 27k hp to my 30.5k hp) and probably wasn't pulling the same dps, but it hadn't been a problem at all for the entirety of the run. Literally that one little mistake that didn't even cause a wipe (my DoTs finished it off) was enough for the guy to get kicked. In the time that it took for us to get someone else and for them to catch up, we could've downed the boss (or, at least, it would've taken exactly the same amount of time).
  3. Actually, a certain level of gear was required to raid in order to be capable of producing enough dps/heals and withstanding enough damage, regardless of skill. Not the level of gear that anti-gearscore people complained that raiders wanted them to achieve, though I never ran into any of the problems they complained about.
  4. Could be that both sides decimate each other, then the survivors say '**** it, lets rebuild'.
  5. http://www.swtor.com/community/showthread.php?p=6351183#post6351183 Or you could have read the OP. Why are you getting so upset over this?
  6. For the past 10 (I think) weeks, the Republic weekly has rewarded 20 ultimate comms, whereas the Empire weekly has rewarded 12 ultimate comms. I'm only suggesting that Imperials be rewarded 20 comms for a couple of months to make up for the time that Republic characters got additional comms, not to take away comms from Republic characters.
  7. Well, not technically unlimited, just so ridiculously efficient that it might as well be. In terms of upgraded units, Isotype-5 apparently provides slightly better shields/lasers, though I feel that the whole energy thing is the main sticking point.
  8. I'd love an add-on that emphasises which debuffs on the boss are mine.
  9. Additionally, they way it's been described, it seems that the Empire won't need any other energy resources, at all.
  10. Having quest icons on the map is just as needed as having an add-on for Roleplayers' backstories. Which is to say, not at all.
  11. I think we should also remove all quest indicators on the maps. Players should find the locations themselves based on directions given.
  12. It'd make sense if they swapped it for 10(?) weeks before fixing it to reward the 'right' amount. That is to say, for the next 10 weeks grant 20/20comms for the Imperial quest and 12/20 for the republic quest, then after that period set them both at 12/20. Also, that.
  13. I can't remember the fight, but are you using interrupts/stuns/moving out of AoE? And does your companion have decent gear?
  14. One of the things Carbine is doing with WildStar is allowing addons from the get go. They had five within two hours of beta commencing, and they've expressed how happy they are with this. I know damage meters are in, as well as (I think) dual specs. They're currently trying to work out a way to reward players who's addons they'll inevitably integrate into the game. Though I suppose I shouldn't be surprised about people being against addons here. Edit: Here's a quote from The Gaffer.
  15. HK achievement can be obtained if you just do WZs while he's active. Even if you don't PvP much, decent PvE gear means you won't get roflstomped and you can rack up the kills pretty quickly. That said, I agree about the rest. @OP, you can get them, but it'll take eons. Your best bet is to organise a group of as many imps/repubs as you can and take turns AoEing each-other down on each planet. I believe the PvP area on NS is the bonus area.
  16. I'll admit, you seem to be more knowledgeable about history than me. That said, how would those on the receiving end of advanced technologies have faired if they did not develop counter-measures? Not to mention that the new techs became more stable with time; there's no arguing that new technology did not change the face of warfare. Isotype-5 will turn the tide of the war in the sense that it should allow the Empire to go on the offensive/gain some footholds for a time, until the Republic develops counter-measures. Things will go from the Empire falling apart to the Empire gaining strength, which will in turn boost the morale of its citizens. I agree that the more important development is that the Empire now has a good leader, though discounting Isotype-5 as something that could change the face of the war and give the Empire the upper hand would be a mistake. Especially when considering several of the class stories (most notably Knight/Trooper, though also the Warrior Taris quest line) revolve around stopping new technology before it can have a major impact on the war. The war won't turn around solely because of Isotype-5, but Isotype-5 will have a major impact.
  17. Uhh. Really? Machine guns, flight, tanks from modern history. Ignoring modern history, we can look at, y'know, the invention of guns and gun powder. You were joking when you said that technological advancements can't win a war, right? Right?
  18. Because it is a turning point in the war due to Makeb's strategic value. It might seem like not much right now, though I'd imagine in the next expansion we'll be seeing a string of republic defeats at the hands of the empire's isotype-5 technology. It's also a turning point for the empire itself, showing that putting aside past rivalries and general back-stabbiness will bring about results.
  19. Pretty much this. Also, Essentially, the Empire is smaller now, but it's more focused and will probably be a larger threat.
  20. Space Pirate. Now Bioware just needs to continue the Inquisitor story and add an option where I can live my out my days being a pirate with Spike. Probably in the employ of my smuggler (who has the second best title, The Crime Lord).
  21. I think you need to insult them more with your post, apparently that's the only way people learn.
  22. I still don't know how that made it into the original advertisement. I mean, it's not exactly a typo. Did no-one even check the thing before it was published?
  23. The reward for killing other players is completing the quest faster.
  24. The PvP objective is to use your orb before anyone else does. This means killing/interrupting other players trying to use their orb. By killing other players, you get your quest finished faster, therefore you are rewarded for participating in PvP.
  25. That is your opinion. Personally, I think they're all terrible.
