And you still say that nobody cares about ranked? There's a whole lot more then "a dozen" players on my server (ToFN) that actively play ranked. A small % of the entire playerbase, but that's to be expected for hardcore content. I don't get how you can pull something like nobody cares about ranked when I know a good amount of players that are passionate about this aspect of swtor. Idk how things are on your server (or even if you're involved in this aspect), but here the removal of 8v8 will bug a whole lot of guilds.

You are a funny man with your ignorance. You're probably on one of the servers from which guilds transfered away to other servers where ranked was/is actually happening.

Think only HPS matters and in that regard I've broken 2k hps a bunch of times and I'm confident I can do more if I don't **** anything up and I'm alive the entire game and granted, ofc, there's stuff to heal. There was even a screenshot in the merc forums of a guy that did 2.5k hps in ranked, so there's that as well.

A suprising number of classes are very good at 1v1 in the right hands. There is a lot of bias players thrown around when saying "x class is best". Very few people will believe statements like "mando/merc gunnery/arsenal is strong 1 on 1" (which they are, and can kill many classes, much more then people would believe), but that's not suprising considering that some classes have an easier time handling a 1 on 1 encounter and as such a lot of them are more frequent then others. Adding my own bias to what already is, I'd say scoundrel dps may be the best, but that's just a hunch really. Other then that, maybe rage mara/deception sin/veng jugg? I'd go so far as saying merc dps too, but that's not for the faint hearted.

You do need both and they are important but, at least in my opinion they are distinguished seeing as one is sort of mechanical while the other is cognitive. But this is nitpicking.

I agree wholeheartedly, especially if by reaction time on things you mean both actual reaction time as in reflexes and decision making speed. I personally think speed carries an immense weight in PvP with awareness trailing it in 2nd place.
