I have a bunch of characters. Several of the same class. What's different you ask? One's female. One's male. One's light side. Ones dark side. One is a flirt. One is wholeheartedly going after the one girl. One is one AC. One is that same AC but a different spec. One is the other AC. One is that same AC but a different spec. The amount of variation possible with only one class is immense. If people are getting bored then they are playing this game wrong.

I went on the PTS yesterday... It's not up to date. None of the post 1.2 updates have been applied to it. There was also a weird bug going on where creatures wouldn't attack and would Evade after a short time and reset. This made it impossible to kill things that I couldn't kill in 2-3 abilities... as it would take to much time and they would reset. I like going to the PTS to test out things or to be alone... but right now it's unplayable.

There is no LFG tool yet. So the Esseles and Black Talon flashpoints are the easiest to find people to do. They also are good for grinding affection with your first companion. Once 1.3 and thus the LFG tool hits then I look forward to doing all the flashpoints. Until then I'll help out people leveling alts wanting to do Esseles and/or BT.

at some point it seems like it'd be cheaper to buy new mods rather than pull them out... For mod you can't buy... yeah it seems a bit steep.

This is a suspicion I have. The game should be able to have 500-1000 characters on screen without lagging horribly. But indications are that the game can only handle about 20 characters on the screen... Servers should have 100,000 people on them. Zones on these servers should regularly see large quantities of people gathered. It should be able to handle this without sharding. All indication I see is the game is not capable of the above and probably won't ever be capable of it.

I have 16 characters. The highest is 36. All I'm doing is by definition leveling. After each planet I'm on fleet spending my commendations. The longest time I spend on fleet is when I'm leveling my crafting. Spent a good 2 hours going 1-100 on my crafting. Fleet has a convenient GTN and vendors. So while you are leveling you stop by the fleet quite often. It's a good representative sample of the people on the server. Basically a healthy server will have more people on the fleet at any given time then an unhealthy server.

It's rather spread out with several bottle necks that require you to fight through them... and then you get sent back there and have to fight through them again. I've been through it about 5 times...

umm I think we have different definitions of "completing" the origin world.... Doing every quest on the origin world including all bonuses takes about a days worth of playtime. If I had to guess at a number of hours figure... 7-8 hours

Sell all your stuff. send the money to your new character. The origin world only takes a day. It's not too bad.

It is the hub of the game. You go through there quite often even if only for a short time. At 50 (I'm guessing as I don't have any lvl 50 characters) there really isn't anywhere else to be. It's the one place that everyone goes through on a regular basis and so is a good indication of server population. Every game has a town or something where everyone gathers to chat, sell stuff, craft stuff.... so on and so forth. That town is a good indication of the health of that server. For SWTOR fleet is that town.

Asias three servers have been standard to very heavy every time I've looked at them... if anything Asia could do with another server. North America I think could do with 20. I'd like to see 500-1000 people on fleet during peak times. and never any less than 200 on fleet at any time.

Republic side... Nar Shaddaa... That quest you get in the space port when you first arrive that starts the worlds quest line... I've done that quest 7 times over on different characters. Sometimes the items drop instantly... and sometimes I clear out the whole area twice before I've gotten all the items for the quest.

I like to be 2 levels above the planet min before I start a planet. Due to no LFG tool I don't do any flashpoints or heroics. I don't do the bonus series but I do do all the bonus missions I encounter including the multi step ones. I always log off in my ship to get rest EXP. I don't continue playing that character when the rest exp runs out. I return to my ship and play a different character. I do the space missions every day and will grind them on occasion to get me to that 2 lvl above min mark. ETA; I don't PvP ever.

I've heard almost nothing about 1.3. All I've heard is LFG tool and more legacy stuff. Can we get a rundown of the big features that will be in 1.3? A list with a few lines of description for each entry would be great. Also when might it be hitting the PTS?

I went with the lvl 11 cloth trooper chest piece... That's the best I could do... at the moment.

Well... @#$% This may be my only option... Are there any ... trooper orange chest items that JK can use that are "a bit less bulky" for females? My consular and Inquisitors can at least use light gear so they aren't a problem. The problem is finding Heavy armor that looks good on a female JK...

Ok so the Jedi and Sith get a bunch of robes with hoods. If you have some sort of mask or hat then the hood goes away... unless it's a head band. But what if I just want to see my hair? What if... I wear a helmet or mask... and then hid the head slot? will the hood stay down? Does anyone know? I don't want to waste a bunch of money buying a trooper helmet for my JK and have it not work...

I've never had these problems. But I do have task killer on my phone too which kills all open processes that aren't actively being used every 10 min or so. So I'm never opening an already running security key app...

No. When I left FFXI it was for good. I also don't start MMOs unless I'm going to be playing for years.

The mob detects you. Often though your companion generates more hate than you... so the mob attacks it first. This is what is happening. It seems to you like your companion got detected when in fact it is you that got detected.

Alt + z to remove the UI. Then just hit Print Screen. The game saves the screen shots in a folder in your My documents folder. Not sure how much you knew so just covering all the bases. Here's some of mine: Korriban Alderaan Corescant Corescant
