  1. Use your basters on the incoming fighters. The blasters are faster than missiles. Missiles will hit after the fighters have already shot up the shuttle. Use the missiles on fighters that come from behind you. And use them on capitol ship turrets. (blasters too when there aren't any fighters) in the valley you can target the fighters that come in from the lower left through the wall of the asteroid. Missiles lock on and can travel through solid objects to hit their target. I've never found this particularly hard... They aren't targeting you... just keep blasting pretty much non stop and use your missiles to get things that you can't yet hit with your blasters and turrets. Use the super charger that increases your blaster damage and reduces your shield recharge rate. in this mission you are not the target. my shields never dip below half.
  2. How many characters do you have at 50? 1? You have seen 1/8th of the content if so. Phft! "no content" Ha! I have 16 characters 2 are at lvl 36. they are my highest characters. It may take me a year to get any character to 50. And then it won't be decked out in gear yet either. If you're bored then you're playing the game wrong.
  3. not having eyes... seems to make head gear not show up... I'm not complaining too much because that means my hood is down and I can see my face. but... really? Miraluka eye coverings stopping head gear from showing... really?
  4. Will all orange gear adapt to your armor class (light. medium. heavy) in game update 1.3 or only social gear?
  5. I already have 5 characters on the PTS. I check every day to see if it has been updated.
  6. 1. LFG ( and that it never ever become cross server ) 2. BIG servers (more than 20k concurrent players) 3. more character slots 4. 3D multiplayer pvp space combat 5. more character customization... barber shop / races / gear I would also like the camera to change height based on your character sitting or standing. It's really hard to get some good screen shots and It'd be nice to not be looking down on my character or able to crouch to see out the window just right.
  7. FFXI in 2002 managed that just fine.
  8. depends on how big the "super servers" are I guess. if you can get all your characters on the same "super server" then... won't work 100% for me as some of my characters are on the PTS and that won't be merged. I say "super server" because my definition of a super server I almost guarantee is different from theirs. to me: super server = 100,000 concurrent players or more standard server = 20-30 thousand concurrent players or more tiny server = 10,000 concurrent players or less I don't see them managing to get out of tiny server status.
  9. From the get go I expected the servers to hold 20-30 thousand concurrent players. That's a standard size server to me. Anything under that I will consider as small. The servers as they are now (in terms of numbers they can hold) are tiny. The amount of people the current servers support call in to question whether this is an MMO. It's just to small to be considered "Massive". A super server to me would be 100,000 concurrent players. I'd guess they are only going to manage maybe 9-10 thousand... or I hope they can manage at least that.
  10. I really couldn't care less about Pazaak. Now Sabacc! that's what I want. Holochess would be good too.
  11. I propose we come up with our own definition and then hold them to it each time they say it. Within 2 weeks = imminent. within 1 month = soon. within 2 months = before too long. Beyond 2 months = eventually / it's in development / it's on the list / anything else they say. Think we can get them to use the above? We or I don't care about anything past 2 months. Our attention can not be held that long. Our focus is on much shorter time periods.
  12. as someone with 16 characters across 3 servers... I'd love it.
  13. you got those mods once... get them again. As someone who hasn't made it to 50 yet and hasn't gotten any of these mods yet... I'm just going to find the look I want and stick with that. There are always things in MMOs that require work to get just right. I agree the price should be cheaper. But I don't think it's that big a deal.
  14. They had it in 1.2 It went to the test server. The test server revealed major problems with it. They yanked it from 1.2 and demonstrated that they do listen to the community. 1.3 is not on the test server yet. They will most likely want to test rated warzones out on the test server before putting them in game. The test server isn't even up to date with the live game. It's like they forgot about it as soon as 1.2 went live. If it isn't on the Test server then it's not coming soon.
  15. Hardcore Altaholic I have 16 characters across 3 servers. None over lvl 36. I don't PvP. I'd like to get involved with an RP group someday... maybe make some fan videos. I don't care about OPs. I might enjoy watching PvP if they let me. I very much want 3D dogfighting space PvP (the only PvP I'll engage in)
  16. I'm still wrapping my head around the fact that servers don't hold 20-30 thousand players like they should... Instead they hold 2-3 thousand. This game is an order of magnitude less multiplayer than I thought it was going to be. I expected 10 to15 servers max. 126? What? The servers are too small. Any loss in players is immediately noticeable on such small servers. There are too many servers. There aren't enough character slots...
  17. my 2. 1. LFG tool. 2. More character slots. Fortunately #1 is on the way.
  18. I have 16 characters across 3 servers. On one class you could have many characters. One male. One female. One lightside. One darkside. One's a flirt. One's loyal. One, one AC. One, another AC. Different specs of those ACs. The number of different characters you can make from different combinations of the above on only one class is very large. Add in 7 more classes... and I will never run out of things to do. As an example... Dragon Age. A single player game with only one story to go through. I had 8 characters I ran through that game. So to answer the OPs question of who will play through multiple characters... I will and I am.
  19. I find Alderaan beautiful http://i.imgur.com/ubvik.jpg It's my favorite visual area. My favorite questing area is Balmorra. Way better than Taris as a planet to go to immediately after your capital. Wanted add the area I hate... Dromund Kaas space port. I hate it. All the other space ports have the ship exit mostly lined up with the hanger doors... WHICH ARE OPEN! but not D Kaas space port. NO on D Kaas you have to go up a ramp into the control area and then back down... It's a little pet peeve of mine I know... but it drives me nuts.
  20. Just recently on my Smuggler... who had finished chapter one.

  22. Ok. I will never group for anything but flashpoints due to PvP flagging. Happy?
  23. On Shien yesterday which is PvE-RP I grouped up with some people to do a heroic. I kept getting flagged for PvP and I have no idea how. This is bad. I'm unlikely to ever group up for anything other than a flashpoint due to PvP flagging. On a PvE server you should never be flagged for PvP unless you select "Turn on PvP" from a menu. Walking into a zone should not flag you. Grouping up should not flag you. Using AOE near the other faction should not flag you and they should not take damage from it.
  24. several reasons. With gear never breaking fully the market would be flooded with hand me down gear. and thus no reason for crafters to continue making low lvl gear. High lvl things are valuable. If you can sell them then you can farm them for credits... then sell those credits for real money... Bad. bad. bad. Binding the things prevents this.
  25. Sigh... I was saying that the game is so difficult to solo that you need to group up with other people to feasibly play the game. One class was easier to solo than others. There is this thing called exaggeration... there is also this thing called nit picking... I think we know which of the two we each were doing... The point is the game does not encourage grouping enough. Soloing is too easy. The servers even when full do not support a large enough population. The game is of a different genre than I had hoped for and it is advertised as. Now all that said I like the game. It could use some tweaking to make it the best it can be of the genre it is... Now that I recognize that it's a Coop rpg it makes a lot more sense. I will continue to play it and enjoy the coop experience.
