  1. Yeah, some kind of Immune after pushback would be just perfect. I think i'll go for my GS until something is changed with the class. I just don't see any reasons to stay as a commando these days.
  2. If gather all the tools from trooper both ACs, THEN the class would seem more or less playable. Even if we get Hold the line, 25%crit, aoe stun and strong pushback/stock strike for Assault Spec it would only approach us other classes and the tools they already have. I was shocked how many great skills sentinels have. I didn't try consul but i'm sure his arsenal is also fine. Just don't understand this stupid descrimination.
  3. My main was Commando and i thought it's a cool class until i played GS. Now i can't make myself play commando again coz i just don't understand why devs didn't give the class ANYTHING useful in PVP except common shoot skills. So, it seems your lines are getting thicker coz another trooper turns into GS.

  5. My first and my favourite class is a trooper commando. My role is a damage dealer according to the description. I like PVP much more than PVE and that's the reason why i'm posting this. DPS Commando sux!!! No matter what skill and gear level a player has he will always lose against any other class with the same G/S (gear/skill). Are we a supporter subclass? If so, give us little childish rifles for we know our place and write in our class description that we are supposed to be supporters UNABLE to kill anyone on the battlefield. And the most important, give us supporting abilities then, except poorly working cleanse and slow casting heals. You position us as a DD subclass. Then let me compare my main commando assault specialist with my Alt Gunslinger Sharpshooter. As a gunslinger I've got: CC ----------------------------------------------------- - root, - dirty kick (stun) - flashnade (aoe blind = 1 hit stun) - range interrupt - smokenade (accuracy reduction 45% and cover destroyer) Survivability ----------------------------------------------------- - pushback - pushback after aimed shot - 3 sec full dodge - damage absorb screen - 20% damage reduction under cover (constant) - 3 stacks of ballistic charges (30% d/reduct on each hit) - 20sec TOTAL IMMUNE TO ALL CC (1min CD(!)) - scramble field (20% d/reduct to ALL allies) - sprint after dirty kick (i do take these talents for pvp) - 20% range damage reduction after leaving a cover ------------------------------------------------------ More over his DPS/DPH is just perfect! What do we have in commando assualt case: CC - freezing grenade (stun) - single target interruptable long cast CC (1hit stun) - snare if procs autoshot ----------------------------------------------------- Survivability - reactive shield - pushback (serving the reason to charge at you again) Emmm.... and that's it it seems. I don't count heal and cleanse coz these remind rudiments from the heal tree rather than usefull battle skills. So, the question is - WHERE ARE OUR TOOLS??? How am i supposed to deal with any other class with such a "great" arsenal? The only role we can act well is a hiding DOTer. But it looks pretty idiotic when a big guy with a BIIIIIIG:::::- CAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAANNON- is hiding behind the walls only not to be noticed coz if he is, he's dead in 15 seconds. What's the sense of it? We are not Rambos it's clear but why are we compared with puppets unable to kill anyone? We are damn troopers, hard to kill units, presenting devastating FIRE POWER with our really large cannon! I don't see any hints on power. I only see a miserable paper dummy, an easy kill, a biting hamster whatever but not a threat. I remember the times when peeps were QQing here about our spaming gravs. We had NOTHING but great damage that time and it was more or less fine. Coz beeing a gunner we could blow marauders dared to approach us up. We anihillated healers from balcony on Alderaan, we were dangerous ffs! You took everything but didn't give anything we could use on RWZ. "Sorry bro we don't deal with commandos, wait until you're fixed". That's not what i want to hear each time i'm planning to play on rwz a bit. Dear Bioware, I know you don't play your game but investigate received numbers. Trust me, numbers will never reveal you all the pain commandos feel now in PVP. And the pain is great. PLEASE pay some little attention to your gamers! Thank you
  6. Still doubt between 3. Started as Commando and all my love is with him. Then i realized that there's nothing to do as a commando among a trained pvp group from my guild and rolled into Vanguard. It's death-machine no doubt BUT it's damn melee. I hate sorcs snaring you with the lightning when your harpoon on CD. I hate running to a sniper through the field being holed hundreds of times. So, i started Gslinger. A perfect ranger, great utility in comparison with trooper (both vang/comm), awesome CC and group shielding. But something doesn't let me love this class. As if i betray trooper you know Everytime i go back on commando i'm simply torn by marauders and the feeling of stress made me tired already. My total damage is fine in the end even without AOE but the feeling of useless doesn't leave me after i tried Vanguard and Gslinger. As a vanguard i can blow up someone defending a turret solo. I can pull out a healer from the crowd and smash him but still it's all about melee. As a gslinger i can sit in a corridor and stop at least 3 enemies with lots of skills allowing me do this. Or take a silent cover somewhere and make holes in healers' heads. Even 1 on 1 situations sniper has much more chances to survive in comparison with commando. Any words of support for commando or i should maybe keep playing gslinger until they fix commando? Thx
  7. It would be reeeeeaaaally strange if at release TOR had 5 operations, 8+ warzones and other staff Blizzard has spent 8 years for. To my mind the content is just fine for the start taking into account how much they had to do about all the staff we have now in the game. There so many haters because they got used to WoW and its 8 year old baggage. I believe in a year or so the game will more or less flawless. Its true fans will stay with the game until this moment and other gamers will join later as it usually happens. However i don't know how much subs TOR needs not to die.
  8. Giving up in Bioware case is the only content patch during 6 months after release. I only hope they do their best for we could call our lost friends back. All my guild has disappeared from the server's surface. I can't call it success. So, cheer up all those who doubt about the game's future! Haters, you may keep spoiling our blood, but we're stronger.

  10. Could you tell me what servers you're playing where reps are about 50/50 wins/lose plz? My server is Legions of Lettow(EU) and we win other imp premades in case the other half of their team sux. But in most cases in prime time wzs we play against solid imp premades or just really well geared guys and this is sad coz reps are just sux in pvp on our server. The problem is that there are about 3-4 good imp pvp guilds on our server and the only one on our side is ours. I like difficulty that's why i play for the republic side, but i'm just tired of republic noobs who requeue again and again considering they are true PVPers and who have no ideas what the word NODE is etc. More and more people are leaving and it seems there's no fun anymore for pvpers on my server if you're a republican. And again, share your server names where reps have at least 2-4 pvp guilds please, where competition takes place not slaughter. I don't want to play always winning reps as well, no fun. Thx.
  11. My pvp guild is dying. It's about 10-15 men online in prime time with its 75 members. The rest of my guildies told me today they gonna reroll for imps coz can't play with republic idiots on our server. I'd do as well but i don't want to play the imp side. So, my guild is on the edge, my friends left for imps, pvp on our server is dead as well. We were practically the only pure republic pvp guild on our server and now after we disappear there are no pvp guilds who could compete with imps somehow. There's no way out, for me at least. Unsubing today. BW thx for one faction game.
  12. Never read anything more ridiculous. Enjoy the numbers? What numbers am i supposed to enjoy with? 2.6k demo? or 700-670-1200 fullauto? Or maybe 1100-2100 with my grav round? Right, i must enjoy TOTAL incapability to deal any damage when any melee on me? Or die in 5 seconds when jugger sweeps and then just finishes me up? Stop talking rot bro. Seems you've never played against pure pvp guilds premades. The class is unplayable now, except having "fun" with pugs which matches end with 99% of lose.
  13. I like how you defend commando class but it seems to me you just want to be unique in your point of view not claiming the class as a piece of shi*t OR your commando isn't your main. The truth is - commando sux after 1.2 in comparison with any other class. Solo kill is kind of indicator of your capability against certain classes. If a class is unable to kill ANYONE solo (usually there must be at least 1 anticlass you're good against) it means that on the battlefield you'll be only a supporter, nothing else. You can only run arround and pew pew people making enemy healer's life a bit more complicated. In commando case, he's a bad supporter coz he can support only with his damage which is damn bad if you're not in assault. Even with assault tree in the end of the match you find yourself on the 5th line of top damage dealers if you played with good players. Is it fun to play? - for me it's not. If i'm a supporter, i need more tools but i don't have them because the class been planned as a DAMAGE DEALING one!!! Think about any other class and who they are good against. - Marauder: good against any other class. - Jugger: good against any other class. - sniper: perfect against rangers, good against melee, not so good against stealthers. - operative: good against all classes in right hands (i know a guy who can kill solo anyone) - sorc: more or less good against any other class. - powertech: damn good against anyone. - assasin: same with operative but much better in certain situations. - Merc: well.... If commando is focused by a SINGLE player in BM gear - you're dead, no matter what you do (except running ofc, in most cases it won't help btw). If it's ok to your mind - i wish YOU good luck playing this trash and keep defending it telling people L2P and it's a team play game. Oh, and try Gunslinger to compare abilities and utility, you'll be surprised This is what any ranger must have in his arsenal, not the shi* our lovely commando has.
  14. Best commando in the game is a marauder. Commando in any spec is a junk against any other classes. Call me a class you can beat in a duel taking into account same gear and skill lvl. NONE! The end of your story, sorry.
  15. Miss my commando greatly. But I won't back to the game anyway even if they fix something. I'll explain why. After playing Gunslinger i realized that BW won't be able to change something in commando that could make him the half useful as gunslingers are. Commando need FULL redesign but i'm sure BW won't bother themselves doing it. So, i'm quit.
  16. Yeah, stopped playing today. I've almost finished my Gslinger lvling but i don't feel i wanna play this game anymore. I had to leave my 74lvl valor commando coz it's piece of shi*t on wz no matter what build it is. After playing Gslinger, scoundrel, vanguard, sentinel and guardian i came to conclusion that commando is the worst range class ever. Yesterday i tried to play with my commando one more time in assualt tree. His damage was fine but the playstyle and utility suffers greatly. I'm out. D3 starts tomorrow, see you there mates.

PERFECT rangers! - NO monkey jumps on you! - 3 surv abilities (100%dodge, absorb field, scrambling field(20%damage reduction to u and your team;)) - 20 sec immune to ALL CCs() (45sec CD ) - 2 pushbacks - aoe blind - root - RANGED interrupt () - balls kick(stun)+30%speed after - INCREDIBLE burst damage (20% alacrity skill buff for 10 sec) - healing debuff and armour debuff - 35m range skills application! Always welcome in premades! ___________________________________________________ Commando gunnery PERFECT LOSER! - 1 stun - 1 pushback - 1 target sleep (2 sec interruptable cast) - 1 surv ability (reactive shield) - NO root or snare (LOL for a ranger) - NO interrupt () - Always welcome for monkeyjumps! - Ridiculous damage - ...... etc WT*?! Commando hasn't even the HALF of the tools the Gslinger has O_O !!! Commando designers, cut your croocked hands plz and never try to deal with things you have no ideas about.   18. Yeah, you're right. I rerolled in vanguard and then in Gunslinger. It's really a nice ranger but i miss my commando so much. Preodered D3 yesterday. I'll finish the free month and leave too
  19. The game will die faster than BW manage to do something decent with Commando. If you don't want to reroll - full assualt is your choice BUT forget about rated WZs. Commando is too shi**ty just now and i don't think a team would agree to pull the fat dead commando behind. Even if they up his DPS, it won't help coz the AC is too easily shut down by melees and is too squishy for hard battles having almost no survivability skills. I left my Commando 74 valor full BM of course with some WH items. Tried Vanguard (66 valor full bm) but didn't like his melee style. Now i'm Gslinger 42lvl, feel really fine. Not sure i'll keep playing coz the game is destroying itself making thousands to leave it, all my friends are in the list as well. My free month ends in june 03 and my region Diablo3 release is in june 07...so....seems SWTOR will lose another player But still i wish you good luck with your commando.

  21. A trooper veteran rerolled to Gunslinger here I'm mostly pvp oriented player using SS build at the moment. I'm only 40lvl but in love with the GS mechanics and CC/surv/DPH skills.   23. Commando is dead now. Most played commando as mains having no exp with other classes. Now playing ANY other class they feel like "OMG why are they so OP in comparison with commando, why hadn't i started this class before!" I left my commando/vanguard for Gslinger. Feel great in it though the vanguard is really fine (just it's melee and not my style) Don't regret i played commando. It taught me how to survive having just one save ability and 1 stun. Playing others feel godmode.
