  1. Chiss come from a cold world and the blue skin helps accentuate that. Also think about some of the cold-weather gear from Hoth. There aren't a lot of "cold" powers in SWTOR, although Cybertechs can make freeze grenades and Trooper (or at least Vanguard) has a cryo grenade ability.
  2. Of course there will be. And if you haven't seen on your launcher or at the main site here (where you're posting ) then see the expansion landing page.
  3. It will be quite expensive to transfer 20 characters, but you certainly can transfer them for a price. Depending on your level, you might be better off just rolling fresh on a new server. Good luck!
  4. This. I focused on the former for a while but finally gave in and am doing the latter.
  5. Agreed. I switched to healer for now, which is lots of fun - but I'd go back to Concealment (Scrapper) in a heartbeat if it were a little more viable.
  6. I hope you find what you're looking for - I'm on the Imperial side mostly, but the Republic ships and new pilot suit look so fantastic that I'm pondering looking for the same thing on the "other" side.
  7. Apart from the general "PVP means it's not the same stuff every time"... on a Sniper or GS, when some melee class starts running towards me and I can keep it at range while destroying it 1v1, nothing makes me happier. Leg Shot, Snipe, Corrosive Dart, Ambush, FT, SoS, FT, maybe a Cover Pulse or Debilitate as needed... ohhh yeahhh.
  8. First, hope the baby is okay. RL >>> gaming. Second, scrapper / concealment is a PITA to play. You can have some fun when you open up on somebody unexpecting, but after that your survivability and DPS can be pretty poor.
  9. Sniper/GS is great for guarding nodes, and if you know all your abilities, most melee DPS will be unable to reach you. Depending on your spec, you may be more or less mobile, but I really love this class.
  10. By that logic, they should remove Troopers/BHs and Agents/Smugglers completely, since you only want to play with lightsabers and the Force. Please remember that not all players want the same thing and Bioware is trying to accommodate us all. Myself, I'm looking forward to GSF so much that it may completely replace warzones for me. But I don't think they should stop working on warzones and ground-pounder PVP because of that...
  11. Those were never scheduled for 2.4.0. If we're lucky, 2.5.
  12. I will only agree to sign this petition if you include cinnamon-scented unicorns who fart rainbows. FLY FREE, XENIA!
  13. Yes, because developers totally take it seriously when everyone is like "BOOST MY CLASS OR I WILL UNSUB!" (That said, I think they did take this one pretty seriously. That's a big booger hanging from their nose...)
  14. Possible I'm just missing it, but I don't see anywhere in your post that specifies a faction. Do you have two guilds, one for each side, or are you one or the other?

  16. The bickering in this thread reminds me of why I'll keep General chat turned off - and why age ratings are just a suggestion. Apparently even being an adult doesn't imply maturity. Please take your arguing elsewhere. My wife and I have consulted about this and we've decided that, with appropriate restrictions and guidance, my child can play. The game content doesn't concern us as much as the community and the typical "addictiveness" of MMORPGs.
  17. Fantastic, this is a really great thread you linked. I appreciate it.
  18. One of my preteen children has asked to start playing SWTOR with me. I feel like I can keep pretty good control over the possibility of running into somewhat unsavory players: they would only play when I play with them, no General/Trade/PVP chat, etc. Any thoughts (beyond the ESRB ratings, lol) about how old for a child to start playing the game?
  19. NB: I'm not going to respond to the overly-emotional "disrespect" bits, as I don't think they even meet the smell test. They're prima facie ridiculous. There are excellent, or at least reasonable, reasons for the noted restrictions on queuing gathering missions. First, it keeps supply somewhat restricted, which naturally raises the market price of the products. It also gives additional incentive to log into the game, which clearly is in Bioware's interest (and, frankly, mine as a player, because it means my friends and guildmates log in). The same reasoning applies to the restrictions on how many missions of a given type and quality are available at any one time. Also, one little hint: you don't have to relog to change the available missions. Assuming you're docked at your factional fleet station, it's faster for most people to load out of the ship into the hangar (and vice-versa). I will certainly agree that that's suboptimal, but it could well be that they didn't intend for those missions to change even then for the reasons I specified above.
  20. I generally like either to use either a realistic name or a code name (nom de guerre if you will), as you can see from both of my agents. Circumspectus is fun, though for some reason the Latinate stuff always makes me think of Force users. Not sure why.
  21. Get to 50 on a cyborg and you unlock all the cybernetic options in character creation.
  22. Regarding Lokin: I used him almost exclusively until I got HK-51. As a Sniper, when he's in heal mode, I can solo most Heroic 2s with no real trouble, and I used him in rakghoul form when out questing in the world. Regarding companion quality, though, all healer companions perform exactly the same if you give them the same quality gear and turn on the same abilities. This is also true when comparing melee DPS (Vector) or ranged DPS (Temple) or either tank option. So either pick the one whose role fits your playstyle and circumstances, or just the one that is most enjoyable for you when out in the world. You'll do fine!
  23. Search on http://www.tor-fashion.com and see if you find an orange (moddable) set with the same basic look, possibly recolored (though dyes make this less of an issue now). You cannot modify the regular green-quality gear, though. Good luck!
  24. No, but the OP doesn't appear particularly social anyway, so perhaps this is some (very) mild pressure from Bioware for players like the OP to stop acting like spoiled children.
